Just a random bar we found near Seminole heights Their Pearl Grey was really good, plus it came in a teacup! The other fizz was just okay, kinda too mild for me

Looking for somewhere intimate for a date or somewhere to hang out with friends, Mandarin Heights can fit both scenarios. It's cute and quaint, it's somewhat Instagrammable with its famous bathtub. The cocktails and carefully curated and although simple are beautifully presented. Don't fall in love with a cocktail because their menu is rotational! Last night was my second time visiting and it did not disappoint.

Beautiful cocktail bar in Seminole heights. Mandarin has unbelievable crafted drinks and a great vibe. The bartenders were all super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. The DJ kept the energy up all night. The crowd was a good mix of people in their mid-20s to 30s--lively but not overwhelming. If you go, you have to try the Ring of Fire--it's a standout cocktail with bold, spicy flavors. Perfect for a night out with friends. Highly recommend!

This place is THE place if you want to get some well balanced and wonderful crafted cocktails! The uniqueness of the drink menu here is unmatched. All the mixologists do an amazing job doing and creating this drinks. My personal favorite was the Aloe, darling, was so good and perfect for my taste! The vibe and the ambiance is superb, the music, and the place itself is so fun! Parking is not that big but you can park in the street too. They only thing that might be an issue is that this place don't offer anything to eat, and some people like to eat while they are drinking, but this is a great place after dinner, go for a couple good drinks to close the night. I also recommend their espresso martini! One of the best in Tampa for sure!

Such a cute vibe! We came here before a concert to enjoy some drinks. they were very cute and festive. The environment is super cute and provides lots of photo ops :)

Mandarin Heights has been one of my favorite local bars since it opened. It has the best vibes, best drinks and best service. Every time I go, I try to order something new because I like to be a little adventurous with my drink choices, and I have never been disappointed throughout the years. Make sure you go and check them out if you haven't been yet, you're going to love it!

I wish I could give this place 15 stars it is my favorite place to grab a drink. Amazing atmosphere, interior and exterior are really well decorated, and it's a great location. Sean serves me every time and makes me the best drink I've ever had in my life. Service was super quick. I wish I could have it every day. Definitely need to check this place out!

Came here after dinner and had drinks in the outside back area... very good mixologists at the bar... very good service...they can make something delicious based on what you like or pick something from the cocktail menu... they also have seasonal cocktails...ambiance is very cool with the decor and lighting, music etc. Definitely will come again!

Whether you're kicking off your evening or unwinding, Mandarin in Old Seminole Heights, situated in the former Bodega location, is an excellent choice for a libation. The indoor and outdoor bars are charming but fill up fast, with limited tables available. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the bartenders were both efficient and welcoming. The cocktails were a delight, boasting intricate layers of flavor, dimension, and texture. Yes, parking is available :), this location is also a Brew Bus stop which was our method of transportation and allowed us to hit up a few spots before walking back to our Airbnb. Drink responsibly!!

    This is the place!

This is one very funky/cool bar. We came here on a whim while visiting Tampa for a concert. It's open concept with most of the bar outside. If your looking for a cute place with lots of Instagram worthy photo ops this is it. This bar gets really crowded but they make their drinks fast. The crowd is very mixed with all ages. Their drinks are nicely crafted cocktails so they are on the more expensive side of things. I found their drinks to be very tasty and we really enjoyed the ambience so it was worth it for us. We liked our drinks so much we went for seconds. I do recall my husband has one drink that literally tasted like a roasted marshmallow. Overall this is a great bar to visit while in the area.

One of my "go-to" cocktail bars in Tampa. The drinks are crafted by truly experienced bartenders. Try the espresso martini or old fashioned!

Ive never been here but the service I've received from Chris, smemar and Anthony was absolutely the best I've had. The way the all took care of me from my drinks to my water to my food. They are hard working and very efficient. Very great choice I wish these were my bartenders and bar backs back home. it is very impressive how they all handle a crowd. Management has to be amazing with these choosing because this is nothing like Orlando bartendering very impressive!

Christina took care of us tonight! Very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable! 10/10 will be back for more delicious cocktails! Music was great, decor was cute, vibes were right! Added cute pics of my New York Sour because I couldn't help myself.

The hostess was pleasant when arriving and presented herself with exceptional sleek style. Someone brought me a palate cleanser drink which was rhubarb and lemongrass water. It was smooth and refreshing. The server guided me through the cocktail menu which was an exploration all its very own. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco. The yellowtail was superbly fresh, the jalapeno was a mild touch to accompany the dish and didn't try to be the star. and the homemade soy sauce didn't over power the fish. Duck leg finished with a Szechuan spice and finished a pear au jus. The duck fell off the bone and was bursting with a complex blend of elegant flavors. The seasonal menu has already changed, so I am not sure of the drinks we got lol both were fun and just okay.. mine came in a cone shape ceramic and very tart? The food was pretty good - some hits and misses. The caviar service was good but came with thin chips that break. I would recommend small pancakes. The sea bream hand rolls were good and the chirashi was very good. The karaage was good but the chive aioli was incredible. Overall cool concept but would love a bigger entree options on their menu. This would open up more patrons to visit who don't want to drop $500 for sushi

It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.
