Cute new business in Seminole Heights that took over the old delicious ramen place. Setup is exactly the same; bar area on right, and dining area on left. The parking lot is small - I recommend backing in so you can get out easier. I love that they have a touch screen right near the front so you can place a to-go order, which is exactly what I did. Food was ready quickly - I'm thankful that they asked if I needed the hot sauce, because it turns out I definitely did. I started with the Shrimp Tempura, which was excellent. Very crispy and not greasy. The only thing I didn't love was the white dipping sauce it came with. The menu says it is served with J's homemade soy sauce, but that's definitely not what I received. For my entree I tried the Beef Bibimbap. It was good in flavor after I spiced it up a bit, but I wouldn't get it again. Not enough beef, too much rice. After reading other reviews, I think I'll try the ramen or udon next - that looks to be the sweet spot.

Decided to give J's a try tonight. It was our first time. This building used to house Ichicoro Ramen, so it was nice to see another business fill those shoes and not just another empty building. The entrance is either in the front or the side- a little confusing as there is a sign pointing to the side entrance- but you can use either. It's still a bit tight inside so don't be surprised if when you arrive on a weekend night there may be no place to sit! We were seated promptly and ordered apps. Our sever was lovely from the start- we ordered edamame and fried spring rolls. Edamame was good- can't do much to mess that up- the spring rolls were "meh", I don't believe they are made in house- likely frozen as the insides are a bit mushy. My guess they are vegetable spring rolls. Served with a thin dollop of sweet chili sauce. Won't order those again. Entree's followed. The restaurant was busy and the wait was a bit long. So much so that another server came over and asked if we were waiting for our check- "no ma'am, we are waiting for our food". My husband ordered the Creamy Mushroom Ramen- spicy. I ordered the Pad Thai- medium heat. The ramen arrived - quite a serving I might add and because I DO NOT DO MUSHROOM ANYTHING- I didn't try it, but my husband loved it. He ate just about every bite. He was sold on the Ramen. The Pad Thai was "ok", nothing to write home about. A bit "too wet" and not a note of spice anywhere to be found. I also don't like thigh chicken meat- personal preference- and that's the chicken that accompanies the dish. I also ordered shrimp too- there were probably 5 medium to small sized shrimp. I ate it- I was hungry- but wouldn't order it again. I am a huge fan of Lemon Grass on Kennedy and will stick with them for Thai Food. We will be back so that I can try the Ramen- not mushroom mind you- but another flavor- they have several. They don't have their liquor license yet- hopefully coming soon. Our server was really great- sweet and kind and apologetic that the food was a little late. Give it a try- everyone has different tastes!

GREAT food! Finally spicy run/owned by the nicest implant from Seoul Korea! Say hey to Chris! This cute place with fab food is located on North Florida Avenue 5229 to be exact. Ate pre BTS. Had the playlist on to jam to. New place. Just 4 months old! Give it a try!

This new Asian restaurant in Seminole Heights offers delicious pan Asian food. I read the two pages menu, it covered Japanese food, Korean food, Thai, Vietnamese and most of the popular Asian appetizers. They also offer variety of can and bottle drinks. I finally decided to get a seafood tempura udon soup. It came fast and so beautifully presented. In the bowl, there were three big tempura shrimps, two pieces of fish tempura, freshly homemade, good flavor and texture. Bamboo shoots, onion and cabbage were the vegetables, and the broth was dry tuna bonito flavor, such a delicious ensemble! We had takoyaki balls as appetizer. The balls were big. The coating was crunchy; the inside was soft and creamy, quite nice. The owner chatted with us. He was so polite and friendly. I also like their attention to details -from the interior decoration to the dinner ware, to the services, were all almost perfect. This new business tried hard to please the customers. They didn't fail. We had a very pleasant experience here. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

Took a pitstop and ordered some ramen, fried rice and chicken gyoza. All are good and my daughter loved them!

We went around 12pm on a Tuesday and it was perfect, not too busy inside and not too hot outside so we were able to enjoy the scenery. As for food, we got the 4 pack empanadas from Empamama with two Mother Clucker empanadas and two Fresh Prince ones. We paired the empanadas with the bang bang sauce and it definitely added to the flavor, especially the Mother Clucker. The mother Clucker was an 8/10 for me while the fresh prince was a 7/10. The restaurant also offers a margarita slushy and an apple cider slushy which we had samples of and that was good. We ended up getting lemonade and strawberry lemonade from a different restaurant though because we were just feeling that instead. Overall, I spent about $30 here ($22 for food and $8 for drinks). I really emphasize that this is a casual spot and I would come here for a quick mid-day snack rather than for an entire meal. I was definitely still hungry after but the food was enough to hold me over for a couple hours.

The Ramen is okay, but it just doesn't hit like before. The restaurant was a laid back vide with Japanese inspired themes and music in the background. Our server points us to our table and hands us menus to start. We always start out with an edamame appetizer and then go ahead and order the ramen. My partner got the spicy tonkatsu and I had wanted to do the "make your own ramen" option. I really wanted wagyu but didn't like the toppings it came with. So I just made my own, though it was very costly to add more toppings, so I just chose 2. Overall, the experience was okay. It's not the worse ramen place I've been to but I'll probably only swing my when it's out of convenience

Didn't need all the micro greens for garnish on top but this could be overlooked because taste and flavor was amazing. The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!

FOOD: Mentaiko Fries 10/10 -- Delicious! Definitely my #1 recommendation here. Krab Special Salad 6/10 -- You taste more mayo than anything. Shiso Rangoon (n/a) -- No rating because I didn't try any. Just keep in mind that the rangoon is wrapped in shiso leaves and it's tempura styled. It's not in the pictures since we ordered it later on. My friend liked it though. Takoyaki (n/a) -- I never tried it but my friend who loves takoyaki said it tasted really good. Katsu Curry 8/10 -- The rice to katsu ratio is upsetting because the curry sauce is soo good. BBQ Eel on Rice (n/a) -- My friends entree. She liked it enough to say she would get it again the next time she comes. Kimchi Cream Udon (n/a) -- Two of my friends ordered this entree. One enjoyed it and the other one couldn't finish it because she got sick of eating it. Said it tasted too "fatty", needs more seasoning (?). However both felt queasy on the ride home.
