This restaurant replaced an Asian fusion restaurant. Now mainly the izakaya restaurant with sushi and ramen. The restaurant table set very wide and not cramping. Very comfortable. We got the lunch special with two rolls and box lunch with Mala chicken. I think I like their box lunch better. The sushi basically has not much of taste. Very plain. I go like the sweet heart roll. Service is good. Sushi needs a bit wait. All other is good.

I was really pleased by this restaurant. The sushi was fresh, the atmosphere was inviting, and they even had some select menu items from one of my favorite spots, Beijing House. We ordered the Thai tea which was nice and creamy. It wasn't too sweet, which is always a plus. Then we ordered some sushi rolls, which were delicious and straightforward. The highlight of my meal was the sushi tacos. They had a nice crunch to them and they were very flavorful with each bite. This place is definitely worth the visit!

Pros: Nicely decorated interior. The new owners are trying to be more upscale. A mixture of Japanese and Chinese dishes. Good customer service. I was checked on a good amount. My flaming hot plate had a lit burner turned on for the duration of the meal. Pretty cool feature. Open 7 days a week! I ordered the Flaming Hot Plate Mala style with beef. The beef was tender and the vegetables were well cooked and flavorful. I liked the fresh cilantro added. 8/10 Cons Sodas are served a la carte (no fountain style). The menu description of the hot plate didn't mention what carbohydrate was included. ( I almost feel like noodles would be better but I'm unfamiliar with Chinese preparation so I can't really get upset about that.) I enjoyed the meal much better than the previous occupant Rain Bistro's version. Overall: A nice Asian restaurant in North Tampa that's worth checking out.

I stopped by Fortune Kitchen during their soft opening to check it out! They're currently transitioning concepts, so you'll notice a blend of Chinese and Japanese décor for now, but they'll be focusing more on Japanese cuisine moving forward. It's great to see an Asian restaurant near the Tampa Palms area because the options are low. I tried a sushi roll, chicken skewer, yakisoba and karaage. The chicken skewer was flavorful and I enjoyed it. They shared that they plan to expand their skewer selection in the future, which I'm excited about. The sushi pizza was creative and surprisingly well-balanced. It's one of those dishes you're curious about, and the flavors actually came together nicely. I also ordered the karaage. It wasn't the typical Japanese-style karaage I'm used to with a crispy breading. It tasted more like chicken nuggets. I shared that feedback with them, and they were receptive, so I'm hopeful it evolves as they continue refining the menu. Their yuzu beignets for dessert was very enjoyable! Overall, it was a nice first visit, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they grow and settle into their full Japanese-focused concept.

Sushi push pop is a must! Fresh and filling. What surprised me was how food their Tonkatsu ramen was. Pushpop sushi has sweet ponzu sauce that's awesome.

Had an opportunity to try Fortune Kitchen this weekend. Solid place. Very beautiful interior thanks to a pretty extensive renovation. The restaurant is owned by the owners of Beijing House, so you feel the same style in their menus and service, which is great! This restaurant focuses more on sushi, ramen, and Japanese izakaya with some other Chinese dishes. The ramen was solid, with good broth and solid noodles. They are also generous with the Soft Boiled Egg and Pork Charsu slices. I hope they expand the menu even more and I look forward to trying more items! Please support local and give them a try! :)

We were there at the lunchtime. The interior was beautifully decorated. The sitting area was big, wide open and clean. I had their lunch box. I picked Flamming mala chicken, garlic soy soba noodle, and the strawberry iced tea. They were all very delicious. We also got some sushi, but I prefer their stir-fry dishes than sushi. The service was good. It was not a bad experience.

Tried this brand new Sushi restaurant on their grand opening day. I'm a sushi connoisseur. I am very specific about my taste and how my sushi is prepared. I can't say enough great things about this establishment. First off the quality of the sushi is what deserves recognization the most in my opinion. They prepared the food perfectly and every piece of fish I had was fresh. The salmon practically melts the second it touches your tongue, buttery and clean with no hint of fishiness. The tuna is vibrant and silky, with that perfect balance of richness and delicacy. Even the yellowtail has that bright, ocean-sweet finish that tells you it was handled with real care You can tell the chefs truly respect their craft. I'm genuinely beaming at how great this restaurant is. I will be coming back consistently. The matcha frappe is my favorite drink EVER! It's made with oat milk so it's all 10's from me. It's such a perfectly crafted drink I dream about this often. It's my go to pick for Matcha.

It is a small restaurant so the atmosphere is very bustling -- I liked it though. Definitely expect a wait of at least 25-30 minutes, but once you sit down and order, your food comes out really fast! FOOD: Mentaiko Fries 10/10 -- Delicious! Definitely my #1 recommendation here. Krab Special Salad 6/10 -- You taste more mayo than anything. Shiso Rangoon (n/a) -- No rating because I didn't try any. Just keep in mind that the rangoon is wrapped in shiso leaves and it's tempura styled. It's not in the pictures since we ordered it later on. My friend liked it though. Takoyaki (n/a) -- I never tried it but my friend who loves takoyaki said it tasted really good. Katsu Curry 8/10 -- The rice to katsu ratio is upsetting because the curry sauce is soo good. BBQ Eel on Rice (n/a) -- My friends entree. She liked it enough to say she would get it again the next time she comes. Kimchi Cream Udon (n/a) -- Two of my friends ordered this entree. One enjoyed it and the other one couldn't finish it because she got sick of eating it. Said it tasted too "fatty", needs more seasoning (?). However both felt queasy on the ride home.

It's a self service station so you basically go up to the counter and order your food and pick it up when they call your name. It's a very modern Japanese diner type feel and I loved the decor in there. I was mostly ecstatic that they had my favorite Japanese street food, Okonomiyaki (savory pancake) as I cannot get it back home. They have other street food like beef bowls, katsu, katsu curry, etc and also drinks and sauces too. My husband and I had the following: Beef katsu curry - 8/10 - The beef was grilled well and we loved the smokey taste but it was just a tiny bit dry. The curry was legit!! We've been to Japan and had plenty of curry and the flavor was on point. It had a strong curry taste just how we like it and the potatoes and carrots were tender. I can't tell you how much we loved that curry! The meal came with rice and picked yellow radishes too. The radishes helped cut the heaviness of the curry with it's acidity. They give you a pretty huge portion as well too and we had plenty leftover to take home. Hiro classic okonomiyaki - 9/10 - It had a crepe base, yakisoba noodles, cabbage, leeks, bean sprouts, fried egg, furikake, seaweed flakes (aonoriko), tempura crisps, and house okonomi sauce, and Kewpie Japanese Mayo. I chose to have pork belly as my protein and when I tell you this was one of the most delicious things I've EVER eaten, I'm not lying! The portion size was huge and all the flavors were just WOW! The noodles were tender, the pork belly just melted in my mouth, and the combination of all the fresh, crisp veggies and sauces on top was chef's kiss. Everything worked so well together! I loved how they put tempura crisps on top because it needed that textural element. I loved how I could taste a little bit of acid as well because the okonomiyaki was pretty heavy but the acidity helps with it. Food didn't take long to come out and everything was fresh, hot, and steaming! Portion sizes were pretty huge and the price was worth it. We will definitely be coming back here again when we're in the area!

The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!

A few weeks ago, I was told from my peers about this place. First and last time. I came into the location. Small little place. A few tables with people on them. I decided to seat in front of the cooks. I order a few rolls. I was at the end of my order when one of the cooks jumped as gasp. We kept looking at each other for while til I decided to conclude my meal. Suddenly I see a BIG RAT run up the pipe towards the vent. It wasn't something small, that rodent was at least 12 inches long. Huge black rat. The type you see in Chicago. I felt disgusted at what I just witnessed. I left. I had to pull over on the highway and puke. I went to complain to my peers. They told me to report them to the health department. One of them told me if I didn't do it, she would. Definitely a five star experience…read more The things Noble Rice does well they do extremely well. I got the fig sour and it was absolutely delicious. I would get this every single time and I wish other places made it. My friends all loved their drinks too, so I think the drinks here were a total hit. Our absolute favorite dish was a mushroom coconut rice. We actually ended up ordering a second order of it because it was so good. If you like coconut, this is your dish. It is a savory dish so it is eaten for dinner. All of the rolls were very good too. They come with eight pieces so they are on the larger side. All of the fish tasted so fresh. The one thing I was not a fan of was the Shishito peppers. They weren't as blistered as I generally like it. Also, the kale salad was a little spicy for my taste. I did love the candied nuts and if it wasn't so spicy, I would have enjoyed it so much more. But I do think the taste was really interesting and if you can handle spice, I would recommend it. The desserts are divine. We got the Belgian waffle and the Panna cotta. The Panna cotta was definitely my favorite. They are small desserts so at first, I was nervous ordering two desserts for our table of four women, but when they came, we cracked up because our waitress said that the Belgian waffle was perfect for four people, and it was because we had another dessert. Otherwise it is tiny. These are not huge desserts. This place is basically on Sparkman's wharf. So paid parking is plenty full as long as there isn't an event happening.
