This place is where the ramen is fire, but the service is a choose-your-own-adventure. Walked in, was told to "sit anywhere," which apparently translates to "disappear into the void and figure things out yourself." After a solid 10 minutes of intense menuless meditation, I had to flag someone down to ask how this place even works. The restaurant has toy vending machines, which is cool if you've ever wanted a miniature Pikachu while waiting for broth enlightenment. While ordering, a random customer cut me off in mid-sentence ordering and the server just... rolled with it. I stood there like an extra in my own transaction. The ramen slapped, the broth was a warm hug, and the noodles knew exactly what they were doing.

I love a tucked away spot and this is just that. I would call it amazing but it also wasn't bad at all. The ramen could have been a bit more flavorful but again it wasn't bad. I would go back.

I went to Dosunco a while back when I was craving ramen. The restaurant is super cute! Staff were very friendly and eager to provide their menu recs. I ended up going with the dosunco ramen which is their base broth plus miso. Got the pork belly on the side, but the ground beef in the soup. The ramen egg and the pork belly were both delicious. The ramen broth was very warm and soothing, but honestly lacked flavor for me. The broth was also very salty which was unfortunate. I might try Dosunco again to see if it was just an off day, but would probably order a different menu item next time.

This spot is tucked away just off Kennedy in a small plaza--just a heads-up, parking is limited! Despite being on a busy street, the inside is surprisingly quiet and has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious! Everything felt very clean and well-maintained. They do close for lunch at 2:30 PM, but even though I arrived at 1:50, I never felt rushed. I placed my order, asked for the check in advance so I could wrap up quickly, and still had a great dining experience. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on! I'll definitely be back.

Nice ambience, the gentleman providing service and taking the orders was very helpful as to what I was looking for, and the food was hot, tasty and delicious. I enjoyed my Ramen with all the vegetables in the right amount of spice. I will definitely be returning.

Felt like I was back in Japan! Delicious ramen, great options. For a more traditional feel with authentic style Japanese ramen, THIS IS THE PLACE!

Very small establishment and parking is a squeeze! 1 parking spot left when we arrived so I guess it was meant to be. Upon entering you are not greeted by anyone, instead there is a hostess stand with a pad of paper for you to sign in with your name, arrival time, party size and phone number. The paper also advises to sign in and wait outside. It's small inside and PACKED so I know why the advisement! I'm really not a fan of ramen places but hubs is so I went along. Not a fan because I feel like I can make better ramen at home for the cost. And to be honest, it has never been really rave worthy to me. So this place is in that same bucket for me. It was ok and that's it. We started with the Karaage which is basically Japanese fried chicken. It came with a dipping sauce similar to spicy mayo. It was piping hot. Breading was light but the chicken had chewy areas that grossed me out. I am very picky about my chicken and that 1 piece did it for me where I couldn't eat anymore. On to the ramen. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen without the bamboo shoots because they are just weird tasting and gross. The flavor of the broth was tasty, better than my hubs Dosunco Ramen. To me his had a bad aftertaste. My pork was melt in your mouth tender. I left satisfied with the ramen. Service was ok. Just be prepared to be patient, I only counted 3 people working and I'm sure due to the place being crowded and limited staff was why it was slower service.

One of the best places in town to get karage. It's super crispy without being overly breaded. For the ramen... I appreciated the ingredients they put in and the quality of noodles used. I've been here before over 5 years ago and the ramen broth wasn't impressive then and unfortunately that hasn't changed. The broth tasted watered down. Interior is very nice and customer service is good. I would come back here, but I would not go out of my way as I have tried better ramen broths. Parking is VERY limited.

Absolutely loved this cute, chic, local hole in the wall spot. The ramen was delicious. The service is speedy and easy and attentive. Love that it's so close to me and decently priced. Have already been back for more.

Cute little spot for Ramen. I wouldn't come here if you have a large group...it is a quaint establishment. With that being said, we were seated immediately, considering it was a Friday night. The waiter, who I believe was the manager, was very accommodating and professional. The menu is not large. Pretty straight forward. The Karaage chicken was phenomenal! 5 stars for size of chicken pieces, crunch and flavor. The ramen was good but I truly have had better. I'm not sure if it was the noodle texture that wasn't my fave. I did like the pork as well as the ground beef combo in the ramen. It did add some heartiness.

Craft Beer, both amazing
Laur L.

One of the best ramen spots in Tampa. The broth was divine and the craft beers are gulp-worthy. The gyoza are a must-order. Those saying they thought the karage was bland prolly didn't put the lemon juice on it to draw out the flavours. Service was also quick and the ambiance reminds me of a casual ramenya. Btw they also have vending machines in the back where you can get lil Japanese collectibles. I got a Hello Kitty pin :)

Spicy Numb Numb Bowl
Josh W.

I hadn't been here since pre-covid and since my favourite ramen spot Ichicoro is temporarily closed I thought I'd give it a try. I had the Spicy Numb Numb Ramen. Unfortunately I was not a fan of this bowl. Upon looking at the rest of their menu it seems most bowls have this same base broth. The broth was not very flavourful in my opinion. It left a lot to be desired. The staff was extremely nice though and the environment is easy going.

Are the vegetarian options also vegan?

The noodles have egg but you can ask for the other noodles they offer. The veggie ramen is vegetarian, but if you ask for it vegan they can happily accommodate.

The sushi was beautifully presented, and every roll we tried was packed with flavor without feeling overdone. You can really tell they care about the ingredients and overall experience here. The atmosphere is also a huge part of what makes this place special...cozy, modern, and perfect for either a casual dinner or a night out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience feel welcoming from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in Tampa right now, and I'll absolutely be coming back.

The cocktails are pretty sweet and tasty, I enjoyed the yuzu cocktail a lot. I wouldn't come for their sushi, but for late night bites and tapas, I would definitely order. Parking is tough, it's very crowded in the restaurant. The sushi rice was not good whether it was on a roll or not, the sashimi is not as fresh. The tuna was tough. Was it worth 50 minutes probably not.. but it's good for an experience this was my 2nd time here, and I don't live in this area but my brother wanted to try this place. Our waiter was not as friendly. Everything felt kind of rushed because there was such a long wait. This place is kinda pricey overall. All the tables were close to eachother, but very nice decor.

Didn't need all the micro greens for garnish on top but this could be overlooked because taste and flavor was amazing. The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!

Definitely a five star experience…read more The things Noble Rice does well they do extremely well. I got the fig sour and it was absolutely delicious. I would get this every single time and I wish other places made it. My friends all loved their drinks too, so I think the drinks here were a total hit. Our absolute favorite dish was a mushroom coconut rice. We actually ended up ordering a second order of it because it was so good. If you like coconut, this is your dish. It is a savory dish so it is eaten for dinner. All of the rolls were very good too. They come with eight pieces so they are on the larger side. All of the fish tasted so fresh. The one thing I was not a fan of was the Shishito peppers. They weren't as blistered as I generally like it. Also, the kale salad was a little spicy for my taste. I did love the candied nuts and if it wasn't so spicy, I would have enjoyed it so much more. But I do think the taste was really interesting and if you can handle spice, I would recommend it. The desserts are divine. We got the Belgian waffle and the Panna cotta. The Panna cotta was definitely my favorite. They are small desserts so at first, I was nervous ordering two desserts for our table of four women, but when they came, we cracked up because our waitress said that the Belgian waffle was perfect for four people, and it was because we had another dessert. Otherwise it is tiny. These are not huge desserts. This place is basically on Sparkman's wharf. So paid parking is plenty full as long as there isn't an event happening. The decor of this place is beautiful. It is dark but not too dark and it is easy to have a conversation because it isn't super loud. I would definitely come back to this place.
