The Truffle tuna crispy rice is so so delish! Popped in after craving some crispy rice and this was exactly what I was looking for. The rice is super thin and crispy so a bit different than other places but the tuna was fresh and loved the truffle mayo. Inside is smaller than I expected but clean and comfortable. I'd definitely return here to explore more of the menu. I did take out so can't speak for the service but it was quick turnaround time. read more

Service was HORRIBLE!!! The waitress had the EarPod and didn't hear us. Although the guy kind of "slow" so I gave him the benefit of the doubt I tip him very well. I got the tsunami roll. I think the interior is super nice, but the prices of the rolls were a lot higher than expected. I also didn't like how the process to view the menu was through a QR code. They didn't have any physical menus in the store. This prompts for lack of inclusivity for those who are not tech savvy. The inside also has no acoustics so you hear everyone and their mother's conversations. I came with a fairly big party and felt apologetic to those who came to dine in after we sat down. My party wasn't particularly loud, however due to lack of acoustics, our voices did carry. We didn't get any drinks because the roll itself costs $20~ and that's already pretty steep for an establishment that's only catering to aesthetics and presentation. read more

The only item I was not very fond of was the Poketo poke bowl which was not very filling nor tasted as fresh as the sushi. Sushark is an Asian-Fusion restaurant located in Bayshore Beautiful. I discovered this place from social media, as it's a newer establishment. Reservations are recommended because it is quite small, as it seats about 8 small tables. One of the front tables is a community-shared table for 6 people. You can reserve a date/time on Yelp. The option for food delivery/pick-up is with Uber Eats. The parking is shared with other businesses on the strip. These spots can be limiting, so street parking is available on the side. FOOD: 1. Serrano Salmon Nigiri (4/5): This was the best of the night. The flavor was just right with a slice of serrano pepper on top, and I would have ordered more of these. 2. Eel Nigiri (2/5): We, both, thought the eel was not fresh and rather bland. 3. Sweet Salmon Pizza (2/5): This is similar to your crispy rice appetizers. The salmon layer is too thin. I was not a fan of this overall. 4. Stalker Bite Temaki Tuna (3/5): This handroll was tasty, but the cream cheese was too much. I observed a great number of the options contained cream cheese and imitation crab. I tend to avoid them. The service was good overall. Excited this chain opened near us and got to go sushi. First their packaging is impressive! Our favorites of the order: sushark bites, sweet flamed salmon nigiri and fire tuna. Some things to note: their sushi quality isn't the freshest, tuna has some tendon to it and not as "melt in your mouth". Also you can tell from the menu that it's very fusion and not a "true" sushi place but a great place for different flavors. Overall some good rolls and some were misses. read more

Absolutely love this new sushi place. My boyfriend and I got takeout on a saturday night, ordering two rolls and the pork gyoza. White lotus and ninja roll were phenomenal. The ninja roll had sweet plantains on top that gave it the perfect hint of sweetness -- might be my favorite roll in all of Tampa. The menu ranges from traditional sushi rolls to something interesting items like the sushi pizza. The Truffle Crispy Rice with Tuna is amazing, the dynamite roll and the Mongolian beef are also a few favorite items. Sushi is some of the best we've had in Tampa. Very, very fresh and great, unique flavors. We also had the Mongolian beef (not pictured). Everything we had was delicious. Kitchen massively backed up, and dining room filled with pissed off customers who ended up canceling their orders. This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in Tampa! The place is super small, so plan accordingly. We went on a Tuesday night and still had to wait 30 minutes. But, it was well worth it! Their menu is super intricate, but it comes with pictures which is super helpful. I wish I studied it more before we got there because it is 17 pages long. We split the chicken gyoza and tuna crispy rice as our appetizers. Both were incredibly delicious! For our mains, we each got a sushi roll. I got the almond crunch roll, with shrimp tempura, cream cheese, almonds, and a fruit reduction. It was so unique and delicious! They also have sushi pizza which we did not get a chance to try, but I hope I can taste it next time I go. Our server was really nice, but I wish she gave more of a description of menu items. I love any new chance to try a new restaurant in town! This place is great. First off, the packaging of the food is a winner and I felt this has been lacking from other sushi restaurants in town. This food travels well. Everything was super delicious - love that it's Asian and Latin fusion and will definitely be back to try some of their main plates as well. 5 stars! This is such a cool place, the indoor seating is clean and beautiful but i ordered two rolls to go. When i walked in the front to get my Togo order the worker kindly went to get it and then let me know to go orders are meant to go behind, i felt bad but didn't see any signs saying that so i guess i never would have known. The sushi is packaged in the cutest boxes and they seperate the wasabi and ginger so it doesn't touch all over the rolls which i really appreciated. Each roll comes with a cookie and soy sauce as well, perfect for on the go eating I ordered the almond crunch which was really good, it wasn't too sweet, and the almonds were finely chopped so it added a nice crunch without ruining the texture of the roll, I'd definitely order this again The truffle maguro was to die for! My friend and I tried a new sushi restaurant in Tampa this weekend. My favorite roll was the Fire Tuna ! So flavorful and delicious. I'm glad we got there early because it started to get busy as the day went on . My least favorite roll was the Parmesan roll and I think it was because of the flamed flavor but my friend enjoyed it. We were told sorry the order wasn't even started yet, but the order will be done in 15 minutes. Then kept extending the time. Mind you they said they were busy, but there was only one table with 2 people in the restaurant. We never saw one person come in or go out the whole time we were waiting. The girl working front desk had no idea what was going on, and the manager was rude. We finally said to cancel the order. He said he was working on canceling for 3 minutes. Finally told them we would just dispute with credit card. He said yeah do that. This is the 2nd time this has happened. We gave them grace the first time. We eat sushi 1 to 2 times a week. We ordered takeout here after reading some of the reviews and looking over the menu. The menu choices sounds interesting so it was hard to decide which ones to get. We ordered 6 different rolls: crazy salmon roll, parmasean roll, samurai roll, golden dragon roll, tuna cucumber roll, and the fire tuna. Of those 6, our favorite was the golden dragon. Unfortunately, all the other rolls were underwhelming. The flavors and textures just weren't doing it for us. Even the wasabi, spicy mayo, and soy sauce all tasted under seasoned. The things we loved the most was that 1. our order was all correct, the presentation is great (however, cause a lot of trash), and the size of the rolls were big and consistent. I'd recommend you give it a try but I wouldn't say it's my favorite south Tampa sushi restaurant. read more

Was excited to try them but didn't think it's worth the hype. They open at 4 on weekdays, I called right at 4 and they told me that it would take 25min (for 2 rolls and they just opened for the day). So I said nevermind I can't wait that long, the girl then told me chef said 15min. So I ordered and paid, 15min later they told me they were finishing the last roll. That took another 15min. Someone lied to me for a shorter prep time just to get my business which made me late for something else I was in the area for. I placed a pickup order through Uber Eats, and when I arrived after the app said it was ready, I found a long line of frustrated customers. The manager admitted they had no idea when orders would be ready. After waiting well past their estimated delay, I asked if my order had even started--they didn't know. They told me I could cancel, so I did, only to be charged anyway because they had apparently begun making it. No refund, no accountability. I was very pleasantly surprised at my Sushark experience. I was a little sad that they didn't have any wine or alcohol, but I quickly got over it. The waitress told us they would soon be able to serve alcohol. I started with the crispy rice and tuna, which was super delicious. The rice was really crispy and had a ton of flavor, as did the tuna. I also had the tempura shrimp which was wonderful, and very filling. My friend and I both got soups which were super tasty and served with a big wooden spoon. At this point we were both full. But wanted to try a roll. We ordered the truffle maguro which was fantastic. We both felt the food was wonderful and a great value. The restaurant itself was small. But very good vibes. My first time here and ordered $70 worth of sushi. It is tasteless. Probably the most tasteless rolls that I've ever had. Two of them (white lotus, and truffle keto) are awful. I really never go into this much of it description about taste, but there is absolutely no flavor and they are dry. For the price of these rolls, they should not be like this . they are nothing like the photos and are also missing ingredients. New spot popped up on my Instagram and decided to give it a go and so glad I did. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. Started with the Sushark bites. Delicious!! Moved on to the Tiger Roll which was the perfect ratio of all ingredients. All ingredients are made in house. It is a small place but well worth the wait. It has quickly become my favorite sushi spot in Tampa. All the taste and quality of some of the high end places but much more affordable. Vegetarian and Keto options available: Service was great. We dined in which is pretty tight only about 5 tables so I would recommend to-go which seems popular because of the fun packaging. We just heard about sushark on instagram and wanted to check it out tonight. They just opened up a few weeks ago and definitely is already quite popular. Inside the restaurant there are only 4 tables so I advise making a reservation. Loved our server Rose who knew the menu very well and recommended her favs! We ordered for appetizers we got the cheesy plantain and the dates which were incredible. Then we ordered the fire tuna, the Parmesan roll, golden dragon for sushi. I really enjoyed all the sushi but next time I will try some without cream cheese as I think it can be too much sometimes. We also ordered the gyoza soup which had handmade dumplings that were 10/10. Great first experience at sushark! This place is what I've been looking for when it comes to sushi. Starting with the most important, the food. We were VERY impressed. We started with the crispy rice with truffle krab - DELICIOUS. We will get this again. Nothing complex but nailed something simple and delicious. Also got the shrimp tempura appetizer. It was good, but i personally wouldn't get it again. Just feel like there are other more exciting appetizers to explore! My partner did like it enough to say he wants to get it next time. For raw rolls we got the tropical and samurai. We won't get the samurai again. It was good, but again based on the other items I think we'll find things we like more on the menu! The tropical we will get again. The plantain is such a nice perfect surprise of flavor. For cooked we got the crispy carrot and then the Mongolian beef entree. BOTH winners. Crispy carrot roll might be the best sushi roll I've ever had. All the flavors work so well together. I couldn't eat much of the Mongolian beef (got full) but it was really good the bites i had and my partner loved it. We'll be getting both those items again! All in all, really impressed with the flavor, quality, serving size and price point of the food. Next, service. I will say I started out a bit nervous. The appetizers took longer than they should have and we were really hungry. Twenty minutes for the first course is too long without something to nibble on. The table behind us got all three courses after we ordered before we got the apps. Based on everything else I'm chalking it up to maybe a miscommunication or kitchen mixup. We'll be back for sure and will find out then but the servers were perfectly attentive and quick, helpful navigating what we wanted to order, and brought boxes and the check at the perfect time. They are also navigating a small restaurant space with a lot of customers while we were there - seems to me it's already too popular for its small spot! We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday which seemed to beat the rush. We loved the atmosphere. It's something we really pay attention to maybe more than most. The minute we walked in we both commented on it to each other. Right lighting, great functional furniture, liked the unique dishware. We like lofi pop which was the music but i could see that being something others wouldn't like. Noise levels were good. It sounds like it's a new place, Japanese Latin fusion with owners from Panama. This place was fantastic, we had the sexy salmon app and it was amazing, it's the only item I remembered to take a picture of. We also had another roll and a beef dish, everything was great. The restaurant only has about 6 tables so it's very small, we went early and had no issues. The service was great also. When we went, they didn't have an alcohol license which we didn't know. A table next to us gave us a bottle of wine, it made our night! You can bring your own bottle and pay a corkage fee. Definitely worth trying! read more
