I will definitely rate my meal a 5/10 as I normally order this multiple times a week. I will definitely not be ordering this as much because the noodles have completely changed from the old noodles. The old noodles held the sauce better and now with the skinny noodles, it has completely changed and it's absolutely spicy. It's not OK to change the noodles without telling the customer as well. My group and I were excited to try this place. Sadly or experience was disappointing. The restaurant was not busy at all but it was clear that the waitresses were in distress, maybe not enough personnel on site. After being left waiting for over 25 minutes on the table and nobody taking the orders or bringing our drinks, we decided to go somewhere else. Food looked good, but unfortunately the service wasn't. I'm not sure if it's up to the chefs, but after they changed the calamari to the rings and tentacles instead of the individual textured legs everything has gone downhill. that calamari was the best in tampa by the way as well as the dipping sauce that they also removed. i always get the crispy rice ahi and when they changed that, i was fuming. at first they changed the tuna supplier but then the recipe itself and after that it was never the same. every time ive been going the crispy rice ahi has changed. last time they didn't even use full slabs of tuna, they literally cut mine in half. service is good, never really had a complaint and setting is waters street approved for the larpers. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for a few years and finally made it there! It has great indoor and outdoot seating. Wagamama is super stylish, but also casual. It was a nice evening, so we chose outdoors. We started off with a few drinks. I had a Ube Espresso Martini and it was 10/10. Would drink this everyday. Lol. My husband had a fresh juice drink w Calamansi (his favorite fruit). He's still talking about it. We had a few apps including the Tokyo Fries, Aji Tuna Nachos and Chili Calamari. Both were crispy and very tasty. For entrees mu husband had a tofu dish that we can't find on the menu...must have been a special. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is that my food never came out. Wagamama was pretty good when we tried it a few weeks ago! The inside is very casual, upbeat, but the seating is very tight and uncomfortable. Most of the seats do not have backs on them and if you get sat in a booth, it is extremely tight. They tried to sit four of us there and that did not work out, it's really meant for two people! The food was overall very good. I had the chicken Ramen and we also did the chicken yakisoba noodles which was delicious. The drinks were pretty good as well! Our server was very nice when we moved tables, but our original Server was quite interesting. Coming up yawning right away while trying to talk at the same time. Overall, I would come back, but there are plenty of Ramen places to try in Tampa as well so I'm not sure I would be in a rush. read more

The puddle was peculiar, we didn't sit we advised the bartender. She proceeded to tell us the fridge behind the bar on that side by the window leaks and the overflow drips and creates a puddle. This place has an open kitchen concept all chefs are working to deliver hot food and fulfill all orders, they appear organized and ready for the hustle and bustle as this place gets busy. We ordered the chicken gyoza pan seared they were great. They provide you warm corn nuts while you wait they are delicious very well seasoned a nice touch. We then ordered the udon finger noodles. We started with the Balance juice, which had a nice blend of flavors but was served room temperature. I had heard great things about this place and was excited to try it, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I ordered the edamame and the ahi tuna bowl. The edamame was soaked in what seemed like oil that had very little flavor, and it was oversteamed to the point of being extremely mushy. The texture was nothing like I'm used to, and the excess oil was literally dripping off of it. The ahi tuna was very fishy and surprisingly tough, so I ended up picking it out of the bowl. On top of that, the bowl was missing all of the seasonings it was supposed to come with. The vegetables were also poorly prepared--the onion and cucumber were cut into huge slices instead of manageable ieces. I actually had to take them out and cut them smaller when I got home. In the end, I only ate the rice with the sauce and vegetables, then added my own avocado and seasonings just to salvage the meal. This was our second time dining at Wagamama Tampa, and once again the food, presentation, and service were absolutely outstanding. Chef Joel made our experience unforgettable. He came to our table to personally explain the Tokyo Fries, introduced us to the new Shrimp Bao and the new Crispy Rice with Yuzu Ponzu, and shared the inspiration behind the dishes. Everything tasted incredible, and you can tell how much care goes into every plate. We've been to Wagamama in the UK, but the Water Street location is truly exceptional. We also ordered special juices. Those were super fresh and tasty. Overall great concept, amazing modern ambiance with lots of space. Menu is very large and lots of things to try. However, food was not amazing. Also when we got food, server didn't even bring a container for us for waste after edamame. We also didn't get utensils.
