This is the best since I ever had in mind you were from Texas. Rocking Roll $8.95 with added Cream Cheese $1.00! Fantastic. I would also like to say that I have a one year-old toddler and they were able to make her chicken broth with rice and veggies on the side, very healthy and she loved it.

    Outside of the restaurant.

I stopped by for the first time today and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was very beautifully presented. Ingredients were fresh and service was great. Additionally, they have a very clean restroom. I will return again.

I tried On a Roll Sushi in downtown Tampa as it seemed like a popular spot for takeout. I ordered a teriyaki chicken bento box to go which came with a side of steamed vegetables, rice, ginger salad, miso soup, 1 egg roll, and a 4 piece California roll. Honestly, a lot of food for just $15, including tax. It wasn't the best bento box I've ever had, but the portion size was very large for the price. I'd be curious to try out their other menu items!

This place is a little hidden spot. It's quiet but newly renovated so it looks amazing. It's a unique Thai place but worth checking out as it is pretty fairly priced and located close to many of the river walk hotels. Two things to be aware of: check their online menu before you go in or go in and grab a menu and sit and review it before standing up to order. The menu is massive and has a bunch of different things to try. I did not try the sushi burrito this time but very well may go back before my trip ends to try it tomorrow. Second: they do not have any fountain drinks. It's all bottles or their brewed drinks. You can't miss by doing their green Thai tea. It was FANTASTIC. The sushi was good and fresh but the soup was probably my favorite menu item. I love it. While it seems that would be an easy thing to make, there was something absolutely different about their lemongrass. It stood out in this dish but in a good way. I don't think I left so much as a drop in my bowl. The service is amazing. The staff delivered everything as it was made. The attendant at the register gave me several pointers (and knew the menu very well considering they just redid it) and was extremely courteous.

I ordered 2 veggie rolls and a Thai tea. They put in the order as egg rolls then realized the mistake and charged again. When I mentioned the overcharge they tried to explain that was just the cost..which doesn't match the menu prices. When my roll came out it was a very large portion and tasted good. The Thai tea with boba was delicious. About 1/4 of the way through my rolls I noticed a piece of fish on my veggie roll, I pushed that one to the side as I am a vegetarian and went to eat another. Which I then spotted another piece of fish on it. That drew the line, I lost my appetite and stopped eating. The worker offered me another roll and said "oh you know things happen on the cutting board." I denied another roll and he still brought me one. Which I did not eat because I will not risk eating fish in a veggie roll due to cross contamination.

Was looking for some sushi for lunch while in town for work. On a Roll was within walking distance, so I put in an online order and headed over! It's located in a sort of office building-plaza, but was easy to find on foot. The staff were very kind and worked quickly to get my order completed when they realized that there had been a glitch and my order hadn't printed. I got the Rocking Roll and Downtown Roll - both were excellent. Clearly fresh ingredients and freshly made, amazing savory flavors. The Downtown Roll was my favorite, though. Served warm, with salmon, avocado, cream cheese.. amazing! Oh, and there's a really cute area just outside the restaurant where you can take your food and eat, if you want to enjoy a beautiful day! Plenty of trees overhanging as well, so there's a good amount of shaded seating.

First time stopping by and the experience was great. Sushi really taste amazing, the service was really good and the ambiance of the restaurant was also a great experience.

What a relief! This was the perfect spot for a more affordable, but still delicious, lunch in the downtown Tampa area. A big menu with lots of sushi, bowl, rolls, apps, bento, and more. Including, the coolest option, a create your own roll option! It's an order at counter type place. Not a lot of drink options unless you want boba teas. Otherwise it's bottled drinks which is still great! Affordable, delicious and in a cute little area near a Streetcar Station.

Overall 4/5 I got a poke bowl with tempura shrimp and fish. I personally really liked the tempura shrimp and fish. The sauce was a little heavy because the rice soaked up all the sauce. The seaweed salad was good! I thought they gave us very few options for toppings. I only get 2 vegetables and some sesame seeds on rice. Other poke places gives you a couple more toppings than that. The place is a little small but clean. The employees were nice! Maybe I'll try something else next time

The BEST sushi in town, I discovered this place years ago and now I can't stop going or asking them to cater my parties and events. They are extremely friendly with a very big menu with plenty of delicious options, their sushi roll proportions are big and packed with flavor, their appetizers are amazing and I can't thank them enough for such excellent food and service every single time. I've gotten catering for 400 pieces and they never miss, thank you guys. Will always come back! Their place is super cozy but you also have the versatility of asking for the food to go and sit around downtown, great option!

I consider myself to be a foodie and I'm very particular about Sushi, but must say, this is one top 2 best sushi places in Tampa! Fresh Sushi, which I love and absolutely great service! Its kind of hidden, I passed it three times before finding it but it was well worth it.

We ordered the duck with with white rice. The duck was so overcooked and the skin so overly done that you couldn't even chew it. I didn't think it was possible to screw up white rice, but they managed to do it. It was hard as if it had been reheated with no taste. Next, we ordered the fried rice with chicken and shrimp. There was only three pieces of shrimp and three small pieces of chicken, so I asked if this was normal and they said yes, it was. Seriously, on a place that big, you can't put a little bit more shrimp or even chicken? The Pompano (which we ordered because they were already out of the red snapper at 5:30 in the afternoon), was also completely overcooked and dry. They also forgot to order our fish, so we had to ask about it when all the rest of the entrées showed up and I said that they forgot, so we had to wait another 30 minutes for the fish to show up. I'm still completely confused as to why this place was so packed, and all the positive reviews because the food was absolutely horrendous. Will definitely never return. And if for some reason you decide to try it and it's hot outside, make sure you show up in a swimsuit. Otherwise, you will be sweating the entire time.

I was with some friends my friends like Todd I love Thai so there we go. It's nearby the hotel and we're staying on and I haven't had time in a minute so here we go. The prices were affordable the ambience I love the decor inside and outside they even have a little fish aquarium and a water fountain. I drank the Thai tea was delicious and the mango sake strongly recommend and the pad Thai shrimp definitely sweet definitely spicy. There was hardly any left overs that the food was that good. My friends and I have a great time there as I am the staff was friendly We did not have to wait super long for the food and it was hot. All curries were good, but the panang was the standout at our table (we ordered panang, massaman, and green). This place is so pretty inside. Service wasn't exactly slow, but it had a weird pace. Like, if you came during your lunch break you'd have enough time, but you probably wouldn't get a drink refill and your entree would come out maybe a minute after your appetizer, and you wouldn't get the first drink you ordered til after all the food was on the table.

Nothing fancy, but nice. As my wife is part Thai, we ordered some of our go to favorites. For drinks, we started with a Thai tea. I've had my fair share of Thai tea, and this one was good! So refreshing! For meals, we typically share a meal, but this time we couldn't decide between chicken pad Thai or beef Thai basil.. so we got BOTH! Portions were good! We ended up killin' the pad Thai, and saved the Thai basil for later. Pad Thai was very flavorful and the Thai basil had a nice kick. But we couldn't stop there! Whenever we see a menu with mango sticky rice, we just can't say no! We topped off our dinner with that! The mango sticky rice was so rich and delicious. One of the best I've ever had! Very nice flavor profile, the spice wasn't too spicy but was present and the texture of the food was good. Very good sized portion and excellent value.
