We visited Ajisai for a friend's birthday dinner on a Monday night. We were a party of 9 and they accompanied us well considering there is so much going on with ordering I stuck to ordering tartars, sushi and sushi rolls. The fish was good except the Escolar which I normally love but this seemed very different. They brought our food quickly and took plates quickly and took additional ordered quickly. The place operated well! The birthday friend got her meal for free and got to spin a wheel for a price It was pretty good for a buffet sushi restaurant.

The ayce menu is HUGE! So much to choose from and all of it was tasty and fresh.

Great ayce sushi deal. The food was good and the servers attentive. Ate so much sushi and it was only $40. Can't beat that price for sushi any where.

Great service and the food is absolutely amazing if you're a sushi fan! I am the biggest fan of sushi-grade raw fish, and their garlic "white tuna" is a must-try. I have a personal record of 6 orders of the garlic white tuna, or 24 pieces in total. I also loved their spicy girl roll as a spicy sushi fan. It's definitely a little pricey but I would say that the quality, the service, and the QUANTITY that you get definitely makes up for it, especially with such varied options in my opinion.

Best AYCE sushi place I have ever had. I love that you order what you want and they bring the food freshly made to your table. You can make minor accommodations to your order. They offer 3-4 pages of items you can order from apps to sashimi, hand rolls, regular and specialty roll, noodles and ramen. All are included in the all you can eat price. There is a 90 minute table limit, but that is an enough time to enjoy. There was something for everyone at our table and we are until we couldn't anymore, all within the 90 minutes. Just be careful that you don't over order because any excess is weighed and a percentage if payment is required to avoid unnecessary waste. When I go back to Tampa, I will be stopping here everytime because it is the best bang for your buck and fun to share plates with friends and/or family. Go hungry, leave happy!!! It's no frills kind of place with great music playing, but also pretty casual clothing. They offer specials on certain days and on some drinks but we opted for water to better enjoy the food. There is a regular menu if you choose not to do the all you can eat.

This was our first time visiting AJisai. The atmosphere was so interesting. Loved the screens on the walls projecting peaceful changing backgrounds. We went at 3:00pm on Saturday. So the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. We were informed that all weekends or holidays no matter what time you come in you get the dinner all you can eat pricing. There were so many sushi rolls to choose from. All sushi that we tried was fresh and tasty. The hibachi. Was amazing! The tempura shrimp was so yummy. They have so much to offer on the menu from ramen, teriyaki , lo mein, so many different appetizers to try. The time from when you requested an item and it was delivered was brief. I was surprised how fast the service was. The waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive. We enjoyed it and will be back.

Haven't been here in about 3 months. It's always my go to when I have an all day thing at Moffitt. Starved by the end and look forward to the variety of the AYCE that works for my husband and I. We lucked out with the same wonderful waiter that gave us even more personalized service too. My husband had his usual sushi favorites the sashimi, Mt. Fuji rolls, eel rolls, Ajisai rolls, USF rolls all delicious. I had all cooked salmon, steak and shrimp hibachi and teriyaki. I double ordered because you only get a few shrimp or one piece of salmon so you need to be specific when ordering that or just double it like I did. My husband and I share the vegetables so it works for us. The place has a cool vibe you'll probably see lots of USF students working there and also filling the restaurant too. It was a late Tuesday night and the restaurant which is huge was half full at 8 pm with great turnover. We always try to order one new roll and this time it was the snow roll. It was shrimp, avocado, mango and cucumber ( no cream cheese). We were disappointed because the shrimp was mushy, no mango in it and just a gummy taste. Wound up telling our waiter and he wanted to get us a new one but we just felt we didn't want to give it another try. Everything else that night was delicious and tasted fresh. For dessert we only got chocolate ice cream which was really good. Sometimes I get the sesame balls for dessert too if you're wanting a suggestion to add to ice cream on the AYCE menu. All in all I was starved from almost 24hrs of fasting so the restaurant did not disappoint!!! It's not far from the hospital and makes a good stop before the long drive home too.

The sushi here is very creative and unique! I do think the lunch portions lack fish and shrimp. I noticed that the menu has a lot of veggie and fruit additions, but the rolls don't necessarily have a lot of seafood. The service was spotty, but it wasn't necessarily a problem. I do enjoy the decor in this restaurant, and I still think that it is one of the best places to go if you want sushi on a budget!

Definitely the place to be for all you can eat sushi and hibachi. One of my favorite lunch spots.

We tried this restaurant out last week and was pleasantly surprised to find there was an all you can eat option for lunch and dinner! Under AYCE are appetizers like crab Rangoon and seaweed salad along with many sushi rolls, hibachi AND RAMEN! Just make sure you only get what you truly can eat or you'll be charged extra. This restaurant resides in the old Shells building but when you step through the door, you'd never believe it! The service was impeccable- fast, friendly and very helpful as we navigated the menu. Can't wait to to come back to explore more! Pro Tip- come starving so you have room lol

First experience for me in an all you can eat sushi restaurant. The speed of service is definitely there. No complaints about that at all! The food is phenomenal and well worth every penny and I loved the appetizers. All the food (except sushi rolls) comes in a tapas portion so it's not terrible and you can easily finish it. Strongly recommend not ordering more than you can consume because you do get charged for leaving tons of leftovers. Other than that... definitely a great place to dine if you're able to consume tons of sushi. I stopped at 2 rolls and some appetizers LOL.

    Ramen from AYCE. So satisfying.

Ajisai was a pleasant surprise. Went here for the first time with my family who are sushi snobs and they couldn't stop talking about it. Fast service, unlimited roe, fresh and fast rolls. Large variety on the AYCE menu. Prices about standard I think it's $30 or so for dinner and less for AYCE lunch. On top of the rolls, you can get RAMEN!!! Included in AYCE. And it's GOOD. The bowl is medium to small sized and after stuffing myself I was able to eat most of it. Mainly because it was soo good. The servers put in your order at the table so it comes asap versus waiting for them to return to POS station (love this new system). Our service was good and waitress was nice. The aesthetic is....unique. I'm not sure who the graphics on the wall are targeting but it's giving "sushi restaurant on international drive in orlando by Disney". Not saying it's good or bad. Take it how you want. Lots of tables and can accommodate large parties comfortably which is nice as well!

Amazing sushi and hibachi options as well as choosing to do the all you can eat. I love how they bring out smaller portions at a time for the hibachi and you can just ask for meat and veggies if you don't want fried rice . Our waitress was friendly and happily went over the menu items with us since it was our first time . I'm looking forward to coming back to Tampa for this staple !

The hostess was pleasant when arriving and presented herself with exceptional sleek style. Someone brought me a palate cleanser drink which was rhubarb and lemongrass water. It was smooth and refreshing. The server guided me through the cocktail menu which was an exploration all its very own. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco. The yellowtail was superbly fresh, the jalapeno was a mild touch to accompany the dish and didn't try to be the star. and the homemade soy sauce didn't over power the fish. Duck leg finished with a Szechuan spice and finished a pear au jus. The duck fell off the bone and was bursting with a complex blend of elegant flavors. The seasonal menu has already changed, so I am not sure of the drinks we got lol both were fun and just okay.. mine came in a cone shape ceramic and very tart? The food was pretty good - some hits and misses. The caviar service was good but came with thin chips that break. I would recommend small pancakes. The sea bream hand rolls were good and the chirashi was very good. The karaage was good but the chive aioli was incredible. Overall cool concept but would love a bigger entree options on their menu. The menu does have a lot of options and also I will say most of them look very appetizing. Another thing I really liked was when we came in we were asked if anyone had food allergies, which is great because you know from reading my reviews if you have that I do. Our server was full of personality and very helpful and went over every detail on the menu with us to make sure that we were happy with our choices. We also ordered Coke, zero which they said they had I really did not have Coke zero instead it was definitely Diet Coke. I'm only mentioning this because I am sensitive to Diet Coke but not Coke Zero. The food was good. I had steak teriyaki with white rice and it was full of flavor. The soup was ok, and the salad was large and pretty high quality. My partner had salmon hibachi with fried rice and a side of noodles, and notes that the salmon was fresh and that the rice had decent flavor, but that the noodles did not have a good hibachi flavor. My partner also had fried cheesecake which was fine. Service was excellent. If you take the AYCE (all you can eat) option they have rules. 1. Finish what you order before ordering more or you may be charged. 2. 2 hour limit thu-sun. Recommended

If you're looking for the American hibachi experience, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is the way to go. I…read morewill jump around a bit with this review as I am returning to writing, but hope that it makes sense as you read it. The restaurant is located conveniently within the Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area in northern Tampa. The parking spaces in the front does get crowded and full rather quick, however there are plenty of spaces in the back that isn't too far of a walk. The entrance/main door is actually off to the side under the hard structure roofing - you walk through a small section of the outdoor seating patio to get to it. It must be noted that this review and experience is based on the following factors: - The review is written strictly for the American hibachi experience. The restaurant does offer other a la carte options if you don't want the "showmanship" and flair with your dining experience. - A reservation was made through Open Table. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand. This was purposeful and intentional due to the occasion, and I wanted to make sure we were locked in. I feel that this also made for a smoother seating process as the restaurant had to prepare the table and chef. All in all from arrival to getting seated, we waited no more than 10 minutes after our entire party was present. - There were 12 individuals in our party which also accounted for the prompt seating (I believe you are paired and tetris'd with other guests for smaller parties). 12 is the max that a table can host - anything more will require multiple tables. I want to emphasize at this point how Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is suited for large parties. Most, if not all, the individuals in our party have not had American hibachi for as long as we can remember. We also had children in our party. Taking this all into account, it turned out to be the perfect venue for any type celebratory events (business outings, birthdays, baby showers, etc.) I could not recommend this place enough if you want an "easy winner" to delight the group. Now let's talk about the food and the chef. The quality and taste definitely exceeded our expectations. The food was cooked perfectly and the meats were extremely tender and flavorful. While not the most animated of the chefs there, our particular chef was very attentive to our needs. He ensured that our meal was enjoyable and delicious. Pricing-wise, you're looking at an average cost of $30 to $40 per individual. Overall service was not bad - the most important part was that everyone was welcoming and friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend Kobe Japanese Steakhouse if you are the one planning for a large group!
