It was a bit more expensive than the menus posted on here so they probably raised their prices. I do think the quality was pretty good, but the rice had kind of a sweet flavor that I just was not into. Otherwise excellent sushi. The food was ready when I arrived and the employees were courteous. It looked pleasant inside and it might be fun to dine in sometime. read more

Cute and quaint date night spot. It is definitely for people who are scared to try sushi. Lots of basic and cooked rolls that a lot of people I know will only eat because they're afraid of raw stuff. It's welcoming when you walk in and greeted by smiling faces and then thanked when you leave. Service is top notch also. We were the only customers on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. They did have some takeout orders while we were dining. Please go support this tasty place! We got a variety of rolls: California roll, Dragon roll, spicy tuna roll and the volcano roll. The presentation was awesome! They made the dragon roll look like a dragon with cream cheese eyes. How cute! All the rolls were delicious but my fav was the volcano roll. For dessert, we ordered the Oreo roll to go and devoured that thing once we got home! What a cute and original idea for a dessert at a sushi place. The dessert looked like sushi rolls. It was Oreo outside with frozen fruit and ice cream and was just heaven on a plate! Best dessert I've had in a while. Definitely worth the extra calories lol. This small, intimate sushi restaurant provides opportunities for a small group or a cozy date night for those who like to venture in Asian cuisine. Although there was only one person to take orders, serve, and clean tables, it was still a pleasant spot. My husband and I enjoyed the sushi nachos, and although he had the sushi rolls while I enjoyed the teriyaki shrimp bowl (didn't enjoy the pickled cucumbers), we left full and content. I was the only one in there at the time which is why I wanted to write this review because it deserves to be busting at the seams because of how good it was!!! Now the food (most importantly)- I got a spicy salmon roll (no cucumber) and it was SO good. The salmon was the best I've had at a sushi restaurant ever and you could taste the jalapeño in it which was top notch, very fresh and delicious. I also got the volcano roll which was beautifully presented and equally as tasty. Honestly I wasn't sure about asparagus in sushi and I almost asked for without it but it didn't taste like asparagus just added a little crunch which I enjoyed. Was it a lot of food? YES the rolls both had probably 10 pieces which is wayyy bigger than anywhere else I've been. If you want great sushi, it's a must try!!! read more

We tried this restaurant last night. We were a little disappointed. First of all we could not order any Saki because they did not have a liquor license. Secondly, the only Tea that they served was green tea. The salad was a nice mix but the dressing was different than any that we ever had at other sushi restaurants. The Miso Soup was excellent. Some of the Sushi that we were served was tough to chew. We never had that experience at any other restaurant. The service was friendly. Don't know if we will ever return. Found Sushimotion at the Food Truck Rally at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. I was super happy with my poke bowl. The items on it were not nickel and dining like tons of other places like seaweed salad and avocado were not an extra charge I did the create your own with salmon, tuna, & tofu and had toppings like edamame, seaweed salad, mango. Everything I had was amazing. The person who took my owner was super nice and everything was super easy to order and the wait was not bad.
