We read good things about this place so we decided to try it out and we were very impressed with the food and the service. It's located in a shopping plaza and very cute inside. The servers could not have been friendlier and answered the many questions we had about the menu. The menu is huge with many different options, but I had to try the Pho with ribeye and brisket. I was not disappointed at all as the broth was delicious and it was a huge serving (I upgraded to jumbo and it was worth it). My wife had chicken stir fry with Udon noodles and it was good. My daughter had drunken noodles and it was also very good. None of us could finish our meals and we took home boxes of food. We liked everything so much we even ordered fried rice to go. The service was absolutely fantastic and all the staff were also friendly and helpful. Portions were great and the prices were very fair. So I had the brisket pho at Zen Noodle Bar. Top 3 of my life. Which is a weird thing to say about soup, but here we are. I always taste the broth first before adding anything. It's like... why would you season something before you know what it tastes like? That's chaos. And this broth was just... it was doing everything already. Full flavor, nothing missing. I added a little of their Mama's Chili oil because it was sitting there looking at me, but honestly, didn't need it. Temple Terrace is kind of a drive for some, but sometimes you drive for good pho. Cozy restaurant in the Temple Terrace area, perfect for those cold nights when you want a soup. I tried Hoanh Thanh with egg noodles. It is a southern Vietnam-style soup. I love wontons so I really enjoyed this. It's a lighter broth but still seasoned. I also tried the Bulgogi ramen. It is apparently a restaurant fave. The flavors were richer than the Hoanh Thanh. I think both are great options but it depends on the flavors you are looking for. The soups are large, which I can really appreciate. Nice for lunch or dinner and you can come comfortably. We were dress for an evening out and didn't feel overdressed. I randomly saw this place while passing by. I would've never stopped here if I didn't have to go to the post office. This place is such a gem! After looking at some of the reviews and their instagram page I came back the next day to give them a shot and I'm so happy that I did! The food was SO GOOD - super fresh ingredients and our waitress was awesome. We had a chicken spring roll that was very delicious especially with the fish sauce, and I had a shrimp pad Thai. The space is beautiful and I'm super surprised it didn't have more people in there because everything was a 10/10 for me. I look forward to going back for the Ramen Wednesday's. Decided to try this place because I saw a review from someone from my hometown (SJ), and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant is still new and hot. I got the Mi Kho. This is a dry noodle bowl with broth on the side. This dish very similar to the dish we have in Malaysia, fry noodle wonton noodles. This dry noodle dish has sweet sauce at bottom of the bowl. It has the charshu pork, squid ring, shrimp, crab stick, fried pork wonton. This is great dish. Very tasty. I recommend this dish. Great place from start to finish. First impression was a very upbeat welcoming hostess. She definitely welcomed us in a very memorable way. Our server was Ivy and she was the best server we have had in forever. We had ideas of what we wanted but she had the best breakdown of anything we had questions about, great recommendations, and super enthusiastic. She definitely had such passion in what they offered at the restaurant. We ordered the spicy seafood ramen soup and the bulgogi ramen soup. All were quite flavorful and I loved both of them. If I were to pick one I liked better, it would be the bulgogi ramen soup. Never had bulgogi meat in ramen soup and the flavor was extraordinary. The spicy ramen soup came with in house made chili oil which I had on the serve and put a small spoonful enough for my spicy tolerance. The manager came around a few times to check on us and was very nice and thanked us for coming to the restaurant. We will definitely go back and try more options. So many different options here at this new Asian fusion restaurant. We would definitely ask for Ivy since she was excellent and so helpful as well! If you blindfolded me and brought me here, I would be hard pressed to tell you it was different from the previous building occupant. It has the same dark wood furniture and look. It has a "Pan-Asian" menu which is different but also has pho and similar dishes. I'm not going to count that as a negative because the Spicy Noodle Beef soup (Bun Bo Hue) was great! While it is very similar to pho tai, it has thicker egg noodles, different cuts of beef, and a spicier broth. It is served with sprouts/lime,jalapeno, and chili oil. 4.5/5 The Thai Tea was good if a bit sweeter than other places I've had it 3.5/5 Zen Noodle Bar has Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Japanese dishes all together along with boba drinks and apps. There are soups, rice/meat combos, noodle dishes so its a good place to bring people with different tastes. The server was nice and checked on me often. She cleared the table after I went to the bathroom almost to the end even though I had a few bites left. The current hours are Monday- Sunday 11 am - 9 pm. If the owners/managers are reading this, PLEASE keep these hours! There are many pho places that either close in the afternoon (4 pm) or are closed FULLY on Sundays! You don't know how often I've wanted to get pho for dinner and it's closed. This place is the most convenient for USF/Temple Terrace peeps in a decent sized plaza with great parking. This place just opened and I wanted to give it a try. About 30 minutes from where we live but we decided to meet up with friends to try this place out. Let's just say we left very happy! Arrived around 1pm and they only had 2 other tables. We were seated quickly and drinks came out quick also. Service was great given they just opened. We did have to ask for napkins a few times and there was confusion when the orders came out as to what dish went to what person. Again they just opened and staff is new so thing to iron out! Apps: pork belly bao buns and homemade krab wontons. Bao buns were fresh and soft. Great taste! Krab wontons were really good and I enjoyed more than the buns. They are essentially Krab Rangoon however lighter and less greasy. Much better than your traditional takeout fast food type Rangoon. Meals: Chicken pad Thai, bulgogi bowl (not pictured) and chicken udon. Pad Thai noodles were nicely cooked but the dish lacked the flavor profile for pad Thai. Bottom line it needed more flavor. Chicken udon had a very nice light flavor and the winner. I'd definitely get this next time. The bulgogi bowl with fried egg was good but the egg needed to be presented better. It was like it stuck to the pan a bit so it was all wrinkled up and wasn't over easy like typical presentation would be. The kimchi served with the bulgogi was really good. First... bf and I came here for their soft opening. It was a great way to end the cold night with a good bowl of bun bo hue! The broth was flavorful with a generous portion of meat. My bf ordered the bulgogi ramen and his comment was that the bulgogi here tasted better than the one we got at a recent Korean restaurant. They give you large portions of food with lots of toppings and meat. Although I loved the vietnamese restaurant that was there prior, I'm thankful another one opened up. Zen just opened up this week so my guess is that they will still be working some kinks out. Location is in Temple Terrace in a plaza that has other assorted businesses with ample parking. Walking in, you get a modern vibe from the decor and a quick greeting front staff. We had a party of 6 and were seated quickly. Menu is a mix of Thai, Japanese and, Korean rice and noodle dishes. I ended up with pork belly bao and the bulgogi bowl. The bao are actually really good with a nice sweet mix of the bao bun offsetting the crisp veggies and warm pork belly. Dipped in hoisin and its pretty tasty. You get two in each order, so if you're looking to share, you need to order more. The bulgogi beef bowl was actually served on a plate, which was a bit confusing. I added a fried egg and mixed veggies. The preso of the plate had a bit of a weird mix, which is why I docked one star. Ypu get rice, bulgogi beef, tomato, cucumber, and kimchee standard. It was kind of weird to have the tomatos and cucumver on the side. I would have expected maybe pickled radish. The additional fried egg was a nice touch. The additional mixed veggies of cabbage, carrots, and broccoli were steamed and served in a side bowl. If I order it again, I would forgo the mixed veggies. All I'm all yhe food was actually pretty good. Tablemates all enjoyed their dishes and service was good. I'd come back and try some of their other dishes. One thing to keep in mind is that some of the dishes have portions big enough for two. So ask the server if you're not sure. Otherwise, enjoy your meal and just take the leftovers home! read more

Zen Noodles Tucked away in a strip mall, Zen Noodles is a solid little joint. The customer service was really great. For a place with noodles in the name, there weren't that many noodle options. However we ordered the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles and spring rolls. Spring Rolls: probably my favorite thing I ordered. They were so crunchy! Like we ordered them to go and they were still so crunchy. I'll order these again. Pad Thai: there are many things I loved and hated about the Pad Thai. Lets highlight the good first. I loved the whole peanuts in it. It added more crunch and flavors when it was in my mouth. The chicken was tasty! I didn't like how much cilantro was in the dish. I like cilantro but it was super overpowering in this dish. The overall flavor was lacking a bit to me too. It was just average. Drunken Noodles: attention to detail is important. So I have to give this dish a failing grade. We ordered it without carrots. The dish came with massive carrots in it. Accuracy is important in dining. It always helps to double check the order when preparing it. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. It's okay in a pinch. But there's probably better options nearby. read more

Everything about Zen noodle was amazing! I think the servers name is Chloe (I'm bad with names, forgive me) she was great! The ambience was amazing- relaxing, and the zen music added to it. The design of the restaurant is beautiful as well, also I want to mention that the bathrooms were so clean and smelled so good! They really paid attention to details. I ordered the pho soup with brisket and tripe (my favorite) and my husband ordered the same with beef ribs (I had a bite and it was tender and delicious). First of all, I want to mention that we lived in San Diego for 7 years before moving to South Carolina and i have always raved about the Pho there, until I came here. The Pho in South Carolina and Georgia is also not that great in my opinion. The pho here is amazing and you won't be disappointed! I never ever am able to finish a bowl but the broth here is unmatched, savory and just amazing! I give this place 5 food, service, ambiance and portion sizes. The phó is by far the best in tampa. Better than Saigon deli and Thinh Anh's... this is the best in tampa for Viet... if you know of a better place please dm me! Quality ingredients, romaine not iceberg lettuce, the chicken is marinated and delicious thigh meat, all the flavors in the fish sauce and the noodles are the meat thickness and texture. Stopped by for a feel good food and all time favorite - pho. The place was empty so we were seated very quickly. They had a great variety on their menu including Thai, Filipino, Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. We ordered the combination crispy noodles and pho tái sách. Food came out quick and service was painless and convenient. The portions, are HUGE. So worth the money for what you get, the crispy noodles were made really well. The sauce was the perfect density and taste, all their veggies were a great flavor and the noodles were not oily! The reason for the 3 stars was the pho, the broth lacked flavor as it was bland and not traditionally salty/savory. The onions (I love the raw onions in my pho) were cut fairly thick so each bite was pretty hard to enjoy as the onions really cut into the flavor of any sorts. The broth did not come out hot, rather warm and the noodles were all condensed since the broth was not hot enough so it was slightly difficult to eat. The bowl did come with a good amount of meat so the value was there, it was simply the temperature and the overwhelming onion chunks. I would actually try to come back and taste the other items on their menu as it was pretty appetizing in variety and the staff was kind but gave you your privacy/space.
