Absolutely incredible experience even as takeout! From the moment I received my order, I could tell this restaurant pays attention to the details. The food came in a high quality, insulated, well designed reusable bag, which was an impressive touch and kept everything fresh and at the right temperature. The food itself was outstanding. The roasted duck was exceptional, the ramen was packed with flavor, and the dumplings were out of this world. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and exceeded my expectations. **Extremely disappointing service--especially for a restaurant that wasn't even busy.** We've been here several times before, but today was by far our worst experience. It was a Sunday afternoon, and there were only about **four tables occupied**, so there was really no excuse for the lack of service. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server finally arrived, I ordered shrimp and pork dumplings. She asked if I wanted them fried or steamed, and as I was answering, she interrupted with, "We don't have them." I then asked for the chive buns--"We don't have those either." My husband ordered the house noodle soup and asked if they could make it spicy. Her response? "You can add your own. There's hot sauce on the table." Our first dish arrived, and she immediately walked away without asking if we needed anything. We had to flag down another waitress for **two plates and garlic**. We were asked what kind of plates we wanted and whether dim sum plates were okay. Seriously? We're sitting at a restaurant trying to eat our meal, and we have to wait for basic plates. Five minutes later, our second dish arrived--still no plates or garlic. We told our server again. She said, "Oh, the other server is getting them for you," and walked away. We then waited **another 10 minutes** for two plates and some garlic. Our server refilled our water once, but never once checked on our food, asked how everything was, or asked if we needed anything else. The food may have been fine, but **the service was essentially nonexistent**. What made it worse was that the restaurant was nearly empty. This wasn't a case of being understaffed or overwhelmed--it felt like nobody cared. We used to enjoy coming here, but after today's experience, we'll think twice before returning. **A restaurant doesn't have to be perfect, but basic service shouldn't feel like something you have to beg for.** read more

First time here and it did not disappoint. Came on a Saturday night around 630pm. It was busy but we were seated immediately. Service was excellent. We ordered the crab and pork Bao to start. They see steam and were delicious. I ordered the pork and shrimp wonton soup, which was excellent. The wontons were huge and filled with deliciousness! I also ordered the pork pan fried buns. Amazing!! So much flavor! My friend ordered the scallion pancake with braised beef, which she raved about! I felt my soup needed a little something, like oyster sauce or fish sauce. Will return. We've - XLB - Scallion pancake w/ beef - Beef tendon noodles (knife cut) All are good, but the last two there's something I'd like to pick on. They shouldn't add haixian / Hoisin sauce on the pancake: on the side is better as they've. Also, the pancake is too oily, like fried crispy dough pancake 油饼.  The soup of the noodles has MSG: so they doubt if their cruliary skill? Can't image anyone can ruin a beef soup. Love their green flat blows/plate. It looks better with their logo. They've a few branches, started in New York, which I used to go. It called Kong Fu XLB. Wondering why would they change to Kitchen in Brandon? The decor is better and bigger than their New York shop. The wall art by the bathroom is beautiful. read more

This is the third soup dumplings place in Tampa Bay Area that I have visited. The restaurant has good menu of choice. Price is reasonable. The only thing I have them to improve on is the skin of the dumplings May need to be thinner. Other than that, they are good soup dumplings place. We got the crab pork soup dumplings. This is good dumplings to have. The skin is a bit thicker. We also got the pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings. I like this dish. We also got a hand slice noodle. I recommend this noodle dish. Upon walking in we fell in love with this place, the establishment is very clean, new, and vibrant. Absolutely beautifully designed. We opted for a variety of foods to try. The staff is very fast and attentive when attending us. Edamame to start was delicious hard to describe the taste & spices but worth a try. The angus marbled beef ramen was phenomenal, terrific broth and noodles. The shumai was prepared in a manner we've never had before and was amazing, that is a MUST try! We also got the pork soup dumplings and the pork and crab soup dumplings as well. Both were delicious with the ginger and vinegar. Spring rolls were also incredible (vegetarian option) and flavorful. Just okay. We had the crab and pork soup dumplings, steamed pork dumplings, braised beef scallion pancake, and spicy beef knife cut noodle soup. The knife cut noodles themselves were fantastic, but the broth was a little dull, and the only thing we could really taste was the chili oil. I like spicy, but this was very one -note. The only thing I might reorder was the scallion pancake, but it would be a to-go order. The servers were friendly, but the restaurant is already showing a lack of attention to detail. The first set of chopsticks I pulled out of the holder on the table was just an opened wrapper. That's just kind of gross. The interior is nothing special. It wasn't super busy, plenty of kids playing on their tablets while their parents ignored them and stared at their phones. With other good options in the area that are less expensive than this place, I sadly don't think I'd come back here. read more

Our favorite Chinese place in all of Tampa bay. We recently went to the Orlando location, because Chris W has been trying to convince us for a year. We found out that they just opened a Brandon location, which is extremely lucky for us because it is closer than the Orlando one. It still is 40 minutes from us, but we decided to make the trip because we were so in love with the Orlando location. We came at 11:50 AM on a Sunday and we were one of two tables. I'm so glad by the time we left there were more people here, because I want this place to last! The location of Orlando often has a wait, but it doesn't seem like you have to worry about that here. We ordered scallion pancakes, scallion pancakes with beef, chicken dumplings, Chicken soup dumplings, stirfry ramen with beef, chocolate soup dumplings and cucumbers. I got the chocolate dumplings because they were out when we were in Orlando. I didn't realize they are a dessert. I ended up eating all six myself. I probably wouldn't get it again because I'm not a sweets person, but wow, are they addicting if you are. I mean the fact that I ate all six speaks for itself. It also came with a cream that is absolutely delicious and puts it over the top. My kids really like the beef stirfry Ramen, and scallion pancakes. They didn't like the scallion pancakes with beef so I wouldn't get that one again even though my husband and I love it. My favorite dish was the cucumber! It had a really good umami taste. We got the chicken dumplings for my son who ended up not eating it, so next time I skip that. I was really surprised both kids loved the stir fry ramen, my son loved the beef and the other one with the noodles so that's a must get for us. My husband likes the soup dumplings so we have to get that. Parking is really easy because they have a lot. Decor is modern. I really hope that they do well, because this place is an absolute gem. My friend recommended we tried this place for lunch after she drove pass and saw it. From the time that we walked in to the time that we left, the staff were very attentive and friendly. I only saw two servers but you never felt neglected . The ambiance and decor.... I don't know how else to describe it but say it's a vibe coupled with the upbeat K-pop music in the background. The mirror ceiling and red backdrop added to the vibe. Menu had delicious items and were reasonable priced. I ordered the hand pulled noodle ramen soup with shrimp and beef without the egg and my friend ordered the hand pulled noodle.. We ordered spring rolls as appetisers. The springs rolls were flakey and steaming hot and flavourful. You can tell this was not a frozen re-fried spring roll. The brith of the ramen was rich in flavour, the shrimp and steak were good and the hand pulled noodles were the best. I don't know how I can return to eating regular noodles after experience those noodles. I was unable to finish the ramen so I got a takeout container and man the takeout bag ending this food journey on a wonderful note! I was provided with a reusable heat insulated nicely designed bag. Great! I recommend this place for their soup dumplings. Soft opening today 03/18/2026. We were greeted at the door and instructed to order and pay before being seated. Water, utensils, napkins, ginger, chili oil, and Togo containers are all in one self serve station. The dining space isn't huge, so when they get busy, be prepared to wait. The seating was comfy and I liked the flashy red accents and mirror clad ceiling. The FOH staff were very nice and attentive. They made sure everything we ordered came out, and checked it off the receipt as the dishes were presented. Now the food! Pork xlb were fresh and filled with savory soup and meat. Eat them fresh before they start to stick and leak out all that juicy flavor! Chocolate baos were a nice treat foe the kiss. Red bean puffs were really good with a crispy outside, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and filled with red bean (not too sweet). The stir fried chicken with noodles were pretty good! I typically order a non xlb option just in case, and this was really tasty with a good balance of noodles, chicken, onion, bokchoy, and bean sprout. (I may have missed something) Cucumbers salad was good and they have a generous portion to share. I ended up spicing mine up with some chili oil and vinegar. Overall, I was happy with my meal. We ordered Scallion pancake w/ braised beef, pork xiao long Bao (soup dumplings), steamed pork dumplings, pan-fried pork dumplings, Shanghai pan-fried pork buns, and Knife-cut noodle soup w/ angus marinated beef in chili oil. All of the dumplings were actually soup dumplings. I loved the small amount of soup inside them! They will splatter everywhere if you bite into them quickly. I always take a tiny nible to release the air inside. I use chopsticks to hold them up, but I have the spoon underneath to catch the soup if any flows out. Our favorite dishes were the pork Xiao Long Bao and Knife-cut noodle soup w/ angus marinated beef in chili oil. Scallion pancakes w/ braised beef were my 3rd favorite. The Knife-cut noodles w/ angus marinated beef in chili oil also had bok choy & scallions in it, and you can really tell the difference w/ the fresh homemade noodles! We will definitely come back! First of all, a super cute dumplings statue at the front door greeted us upon our arrival. The service was attentive. Soon after we sat down, the julian fresh ginger and drinks arrived at our table. We got A1 Pork Xiao long bao. They were five stars in my book, so delicious. The size was huge and meat and soupy inside were so tasty. One may say the skin is too thick, but I don't mind. It hold the filling secure. The flavor of the whole bao was quite good. The pan fried shrimp and pork dumpling were also very good. Again, big size with solid flavor of filling. Pan fried till the bottom golden. The texture was perfect. We also had the House special knife cut noodle soup. I really like the knife cut noodle. The texture was good and unique. The broth was a bit too salty for me. The only drawback was the paper-thin beef slice, couple shrimps and one boiled egg, not enough protein for the price. The decoration inside is very red color. The sitting area was clean and comfortable. Customers order at the counter, pay and they bring the food to the table. I was excited when I saw there was a noodle and dumpling spot opening up by me, however, I've never been so disappointed that I needed to write a negative review until now. While the decor was nice and staff was friendly, service was a little slow with it taking 20 minutes to get half of my order. As soon as I sat down I asked about the broth as I don't eat pork and the menu says "beef bone broth" only to be told by staff that there's also pork in it, wiping out at least half of the menu options for me immediately. This needs to be updated on the menu immediately!! I settled on the scallion pancake with braised beef and the duck bun. Scallion pancakes came out after 10 minutes but they were incredibly greasy and had THE stingiest portion of beef in them. I mean like literally a 1-2mm thin x 1 inch slice, conveniently tucked into only HALF of each piece of pancake. And there was barely any scallion in the dough?? After another 10 minutes of waiting and picking around my disappointment of a starter, the duck buns came out. I had higher hopes for them but of course they weren't great either. The dough and filling were sweet, making the dish overall too sweet for my liking and very one-note in flavor, but the real issues was the contents of the filling. The buns themselves were about the size of a burger but there was only maybe a tablespoon of it in each bun. And the "duck" turned out to be MOSTLY onion. What a rip off! The waitress asked me about 3 times what I thought of everything and I just politely nodded with a smile at first but she kept asking so I ended up being frankly honest with her and she apologized and shared my feedback with the kitchen but that did little to help. So in summary, I paid $22.47ish for oily, overly sweet, BREAD that made me feel ill for hours afterwards with greasy burps. Do not recommend. read more
