Sparkman wharf is a super lively area that I love going to on the regular. I've been to this place a couple times and it's not the tastiest, but it fills you up and probably one of the better options there. Honestly, it's pretty reasonably priced for the area. I've gotten the udon noodles for $11 and the dumplings for $10. Their food tastes very Americanized. More sweet than typical Asian food, not as spicy, and just lacks authentic flavors. But honestly, when I go there I'm not expecting a lot. It's solid for what it is

I had Dang Dude yesterday. I'd give it a solid 4 stars. I got the brown sugar chili rubbed wings and the fried dumplings. The wings were fried very crispy, but despite there being a lot of seasoning on the wings, they didn't have that much flavor. I was also expecting them to be sweet and savory but they weren't sweet at all, surprisingly. There dumplings were pretty good, fried well. There is some topping they put on them that has a flavor I wasn't a fan of, but overall they were decent. The service was great, even though they were out of all of the proteins except steak, so I couldn't get the bao buns. The ambiance at Sparkman is so nice and relaxing. Being by the water on a nice sunny day has a way of making you feel like all is right with the world!

After waking around the area, Dang Dude had the tastiest looking menu and the staff was super nice. Our food took some time to come out, but that only told me that our food was made to order and not sitting around to be reheated. Everything I've ordered here has had a lot of flavor. It's also really nice to sit outside along the water with the pretty views. It's a bit pricey, but the food matches with quality. Absolutely recommend you trying this spot.

The only options available during my visit were dumplings so I opted for the fried and steamed vegetable dumplings. These dumplings were good, the service was good and the ambiance was great. The Christmas lights are up @ Channelside. The menu here has way more than dumplings so stop by and try them out.

    Korean Style BBQ Pork Bun

Yuck seriously I was at Sparkman's Wharf for a dog festival and wanted a snack. I decided to stop by here to order this Korean Style BBQ Pork Bun which was described as with Pickled cucumbers, lemongrass hoisin. I didn't taste that whatsoever. There is no pickled cucumbers either to give it some flavor. My dog eats 500% better than this. It was also sitting there for a bit, and I didn't want something cold on a cold day. It def wasn't good at all. Service wasn't good either. What a waste!

Cool spot on Sparkman Wharf - that delivered some pretty good fried pork dumplings. I would go back to try others menu items.

Had a good lunch before heading to the airport after a conference. The dumplings were great and the noodle salad was delicious. I got a bit more heat than I was going for, but enjoyed my food regardless!

I can't really say much when only have tried one food item. However, from trying their Korean BBQ pork bun, which is a little salty and average , I wouldn't expect much. Their seasonal strawberry lychee tea was good and refreshing!

I love that the wharf has many food stalls to choose from. Dang Dude won today's visit. Bummed the Bao buns were not available. The lemongrass chicken bowl was yummy. The tropical tea was also a winner. Food came out pretty quick. Cashless way to pay so be aware. Def want to come back to try the Bao buns.

Was expecting more , i absolutely love dumplings but these were a miss. The filling was a bit mushy like bean texture. The sauce the put ontop was ok. But i wouldn't get these again. The drink was ok as well but tasted watery. The dumplings were on sale when i visited 4 for $2 but normally it's 5 for $8

I was so excited to try this place but was sadly disappointed with our first visit. We visited on a Sunday, and I was surprised to not see a line when ordering. We ordered the Chilled Sesame Noodles, $11 and the Five Spice Pork Belly $8. For the five spice pork belly, I was expecting it to be on a bao bun, but it came out on a hamburger bun. Also for the price, I feel like it could have come with two. The noodles were kinda sad too, I liked the crunchy toppings with the cucumber but the noodles had way too much of an oily taste. I've had chilled noodles before but these seemed to be more fast food style. I did like that it comes with the glass noodle, I've seen others that straight up substitute with pasta lol. I don't think I'd return, it was nice to try but the price point and what you get doesn't seem worth it to me.

We were visiting this area from out of town, and we're looking for unique eats in the Tampa area! I had heard of this Sparkman's Wharf and decided to stop by! This place is really, really fun! They have shopping container restaurants with various style of eats. And what's even cooler is it's right on the bay where you can see the cruise ships entering and leaving the port of Tampa! They also have an outdoor bier garden in the center of this restaurant & shopping plaza that makes for an all-around fun time for all! We decided to try "Dang Dude" which features Asian cuisine. I'm SO glad we did! We opted for the chilled sesame noodles - savory, and refreshing. Tossed in a sesame sauce and fresh Asian veggies, and the option to add a protein (I went with chicken, boyfriend went with Pork Belly, and both "worked" with the dish!) I also added a bit of chilli oil which added just a slight kick to the dish that paired with the flavor profile. Overall this seems like a really fun spot to shop, sip, and enjoy the views of Tampa bay! It's also so close to many other activities in the area which makes it easily accessible on your next visit to this area! Highly recommend!

Yaki-Udon Stir Fried Noodles + Honeydew Milk Tea
    Amber N.

They were busy so there was a little bit of a wait for the food, but it was a reasonable wait. We got the milk tea right after ordered. I tried the yaki-udon stir fried noodles with the five spice pork belly and it had such an incredible mix of flavors. It was filling to the soul and they give you a good portion of meat. This was my first tine trying this style of noodles and they have given me a great introduction. Honeydew milk tea is my new favorite tea. I absolutely loved it. I had to work hard to not drink it all before my food was ready.

All of the servers I've experienced are very friendly. They have many different kinds of tea also, but I haven't tried any yet. They all look really tasty and you can add different toppings to customize your tea. The egg rolls are a favorite for me and my husband- they're so delicious & crispy. We order it with siracha & soy sauce instead of the sauce it comes with- simply just a personal preference. I usually get the Spicy Tuna Avocado salad but they don't always have it. (which I'm ok with because they make sure the tuna is fresh) I have gotten the shrimp and mushroom rice platter before and it is very tasty as well. My husband loves their Bahn Mi sandwiches- he tries a different one every time and always is very satisfied! If you are in downtown Tampa, I would suggest you definitely check out Fusion Bowl. Many different options and very fresh and delicious.

There are sauces on the table, but if you enjoy seasoned, flavorful dishes, this place probably isn't for you. I had to rely on the table sauce just to get some taste, which isn't the same as food that's cooked with flavor. My order came to $28, which feels high for food that's this bland. I won't be back.

I love that it's has a good amount of seating. The décor is modern and clean. The Deerioca plushie cushions along the wall in the seating area are so cute. The drinks are unique. They also offer snacks such as crab rangoons and croffles. The service was pleasant & professional. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Surprisingly, it wasn't that busy on a summer weekday. The Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brûlée Milk Tea was delicious! Their signature Deerioca tapioca balls are sweeter (more sugar than honey) than ones I've had at other shops. The crème brûlée is mixed into the drink. Keep that in mind if you have issues with texture. It's more of a clumpy pudding texture than a whipped one. Not a bad thing, but some may not agree. The drink can be customized to your liking. On the other hand, I wasn't too impressed with the Matcha Croffle. The buttery taste that makes these croffles so good was totally nonexistent. I didn't even taste the matcha even though it was sprinkled on top. It's just my opinion, and nothing more. I'd skip the croffle next time, or try another flavor. Otherwise, it was okay for an average waffle. The subtle Harry Potter references are very cool. I've read that the owner is a big Harry Potter fan. Supposedly, the original name of the brand was "Diagon Alley" but was later shortened. If you look real closely at the logo, you'll see the "da" in it. It could stand for anything at this point. I don't know... maybe it's a coincidence that there is a deer in the logo that could be Harry's stag patronus. Either way, there is a definite reference even if it is subtle. It's kind of like finding a hidden Mickey, maybe? Just take a closer look at that boba cup the next time you're there. I'm looking forward to trying more of their unique drinks. It's the perfect stop while shopping at this outdoor mall in the summer heat.
