I was with some friends my friends like Todd I love Thai so there we go. It's nearby the hotel and we're staying on and I haven't had time in a minute so here we go. The prices were affordable the ambience I love the decor inside and outside they even have a little fish aquarium and a water fountain. I drank the Thai tea was delicious and the mango sake strongly recommend and the pad Thai shrimp definitely sweet definitely spicy. There was hardly any left overs that the food was that good. My friends and I have a great time there as I am the staff was friendly We did not have to wait super long for the food and it was hot. I was highly pleased with the customer service dining experience that I received for the first time at this establishment. We were next door at the Tampa Theater and decided to pop over for lunch. Lunch deal was $12.95 for a soup (veggie or chicken and rice), curry, and a tiny little spring roll. All curries were good, but the panang was the standout at our table (we ordered panang, massaman, and green). This place is so pretty inside. Service wasn't exactly slow, but it had a weird pace. Like, if you came during your lunch break you'd have enough time, but you probably wouldn't get a drink refill and your entree would come out maybe a minute after your appetizer, and you wouldn't get the first drink you ordered til after all the food was on the table. read more

I came here for a Galentines's dinner. It was easy to make a large party reservation (table for nine) via phone. We came in and the reserved table was all ready for us. The pad Thai was excellent! This was really tasty Thai food. The mango sticky rice had really great flavor with perfectly sweet fresh mangos however this dish is seasonal only when they have the mangos. The Massaman and Panang curries were flavorful and this is perfect for vegans because they don't put fish sauce in these dishes. It was enough that we shared one entree between two people. Went here while in town for the week. The location is great. Is right next to a beautiful theater and I enjoyed the decor. Wait staff was very attentive (maybe even overly so, but very kind). My friend and I had the fresh basil rolls and vegetable curry puffs as appetizer. Both were solid. The curry puffs are adorably small. Just know if you get them, they will not be filling lol. For my main I had the green curry (hot) with tofu. It's one of my favorite dishes and this satisfied the craving. Veggies were well but not over-cooked. I'd say portion sizes are overall on the smaller side, IMO, but I still think the prices are fair for the quality and location. read more

Amazing and flavorful Thai food! Highly recommend. The restaurant is tucked away in downtown Tampa right next to the Tampa Theater. The inside is a lot larger than it looks and nicely decorated. Im looking forward to dining in. I was craving Thai so ordered in a pickup order. The service picking up the food was quick but parking was slightly difficult since it is downtown. Food: The lunch special comes with an egg roll which was a pleasant surprise. I LOVED the chicken drunken noodles and enjoyed the mix of vegetables. Next time I might ask if Thai basil could be added in too. The food was still super warm by the time I dug in at home and I appreciated the way it was packaged. A guy brought me here for a 2nd date, I don't usually like Thai food but I got the softshell crab and it was delicious. The staff was nice and our food came quickly, always happy to discover another Asian-owned business to support! Hands down and chop sticks up, the BEST thai food in Tampa--we go to lots of Asian places, especially Thai and Si-am Thai is the most authentic, flavorful, and DELICIOUSLY fresh! Cozy little place. When you walk in the place is decorated in traditional Thai decor. The lighting is not super bright. Our group had 5 and we all enjoyed our dishes. The portions were perfect and prices were reasonable. Three of us ordered the drunken noodles and everyone cleaned their plates. The paid Thai needed more lime but that's easily remedied. When I say med spicy, you say Hahaha! It was so good! I had Pad Thai with chicken, husband had the Drunken Noodles with chicken. Both dishes were served hot and prompt. The medium heat was just below cleaning out your sinuses but still edible & enjoyable. They serve only beer, wine and sake-no cocktails. The restaurant itself was beautifully busy with Asian decor but was easy to move through. Even the bathrooms were beautiful but more important, clean. Had dinner here on a Saturday night before going to the Tampa Theater next door. The restaurant has been in business many years. The decor is beautiful and what I would expect. The place was packed, with a line out the door. We tried a few appetizers such as spring rolls and wonton soup. Then we had the chicken pad Thai. The food and service was very good, considering the place was so busy. There are some delicious looking desserts on a table menu, such as cheesecake filled spring rolls with raspberry sauce. When first entering the decor immediately stood out. I've never been to Thailand but based on pictures I've seen the decor was spot on. I order the Cashew Nuts Dinner Chicken and the plating was also spot on. I like the details they added by adding a little flower and the rice in shape of a heart. This is no Thai take out. The portion was great, not too much and not too little. Overall the food was delicious, there was a good proportion of chicken to vegetables at a affordable price. I ordered pad see ew since drunken noodles was not on the menu when I visited. The added basil and steamed tofu plus the $2 broccoli addition made it tasty. Large portion and over all flavors seemed more authentic than some other local places such as Yummy Thai. I ordered the drunken noodles. The noodles were very well done and very well seasoned. The noodles were nice and soft and the vegetables are nice and cooked. I came for the lunch special so I was also sort of the chicken soup and an eggroll. Eggroll was seasoned and crispy on the outside. The soup was kind of plain. It was just a straight chicken wrap with a couple grains of rice in it. I would rather have something else. The service was very fast. I got my food quickly. The service did not ask me what level is spice I wanted for my noodles so I didn't get to have any spice in my noodles. I was on a lunch break so I wasn't able to make any changes. It is otherwise a very nice restaurant. The decor is beautiful and really shows off Thai culture. People are dressed nicely, likely because they're all business people stopping by for lunch. read more

Food is so authentic and flavorful like the way I have in my hometown in Bangkok. The background songs are from Thai pop songs in 70s, 80s or sort of ... lol The decor is like a restaurant in Bangkok in 80s lol yet classic and I assume that it is exotic for Americans lol It was like the time stood still ! Service is fast, efficient and courteous with Thai's touch ... hospitality .. I don't know I guess I speak Thai but I am pretty sure the servers are nice and accommodating for all customers based on what I saw their interactions with other customers. The chef even came to talk to me and told me that she used Thai holy basil from backyard to cook my world famous kaprow Gai. We frequent this place for lunch often. Decided to go for dinner. We walked in at 8:25pm. First thing the guy at the front says is you have to order as soon as you sit down because we close at 9. Our waitress was lovely and didn't make us feel rushed at all. The same guy who sat us hurriedly would bring out our order so fast, made us feel uncomfortable. Then at 8:50 he starts mopping the floor with strong bleach smell right by the tables where several people are still eating. Basically ruined our experience as now I'm smelling bleach while I'm trying to eat. That's not how your treat paying customers. Just because the kitchen closes at 9, you should have common courtesy to wait for customers to leave before mopping floors with bleach! Only reason I gave three starts is because the food was good. read more
