Food was good. It came out very quickly. It feels like a hidden food spot because it's located in South Tampa where lots of locally owned food spots are. It's very close proximity to other places for quick shopping like blind boxes or tarot cards. They also sell boba, which I already noted down is something I would get next time. This visit, my friend and I ordered poke bowls. Super good and tasty. The parking is a bit tricky, but once you overcome that, the inside is welcoming. You're greeted by staff, and there's kiosks for ordering or you can order at the counter.
Yum! Ordered at the counter, and everything came out quickly. We got 3 boba drinks (all yummy, and they were not overly sweet, and we didn't need to adjust sweetness level), gyoza, grilled spam masubi, Kaluha pork, and a salmon/tuna poke bowl. Everything exceeded expectations, and we'll be back soon to try more dishes.
I was so excited when this Hawaiian spot popped up in my search and it totally delivered. The flavors were on point, and my bf and I definitely ordered WAY too much (no regrets though ). Pro tip: if you want to try a little bit of everything, get the 3 musubi combo. You get katsu, regular, and Hawaiian BBQ chicken which is a perfect variety without committing to full plates. The macaroni salad was good, but I wish it had a bit more texture (maybe some celery for crunch?). It was also a little heavy on the mayo for my taste. Portions are HUGE. One entrée could easily feed two people. Each plate comes with two big scoops of rice, so come hungry or be ready for leftovers. Prices are very reasonable, especially for how much food you get. The staff were super friendly, and the decor is cute. Just a heads up, seating is limited inside (a couple tables for 4 and a couple for 2). There's outdoor seating too, but it's not always shaded depending on the time of day. The chicken katsu was my favorite. It was super juicy with a crispy breading, and the soy flavors really came through. Overall, I'd definitely come back!
We stumbled upon this place while looking for a boba spot and decided to give their musubi a try. Of the trio, the traditional and crispy musubi were my favorites, they were both delicious! Their milk tea is made with real brewed tea instead of powder, which made a noticeable difference in the flavor, and the boba was cooked perfectly. Their staff was friendly and quick with my order. I'm confident we'll be back to try even more from the menu!
Ordered from uber eats because it was pouring and I didn't want to drive 5 minutes to this store but it was ready in literally 5 minutes as well after ordering. Was very excited to try this place since the menu looked really good. I got a poke bowl and ramen with pork. The poke bowl had spicy tuna and spicy salmon, which were both delicious. The bowl was loaded and the sauce was really good (l wish they gave you more!). The only thing is that the sushi rice was a little dry, so the texture was a little off. The ramen soup was a little below average - I think it needed more flavor or spice, so potentially next time we'll add spice (although I wish it wasn't extra just to make it spicy). The pork was tender and the egg was cooked perfectly, but the actual broth just lacked depth. Also would probably exclude the corn next time in the ramen just as a personal preference (they give you that option!). Very excited to try the Hawaiian rice dishes next time!
I had totally forgotten that Domoishi was opening up a location in South Tampa. I was reminded of that fact after seeing it on the way to International Plaza from MacDill AFB. There was no way I'd pass up an opportunity to visit it. First impression is that there isn't a whole lot of seating. Don't let that keep you from trying it. A table will eventually become available whether it's inside or outside. There's an automated ordering system, or you can just place your order at the counter. The ladies taking the orders are very efficient & helpful. I wasn't sure about the heat level of the spicy honey soy garlic sauce. She offered to put it on the side for me without me even asking. The service is great! The plate of chicken, white rice, and macaroni salad was really good. The chicken was crispy & tasty. The spicy sauce was on the side along with yum yum sauce. Both sauces were delicious. I especially love their macaroni salad. It's so creamy. I could eat a whole side of it. The white rice was good as well. One of the scoops of rice had the grains smooshed together. The other was perfectly separated. There was a little inconsistency there, but it didn't take anything away from the taste of the rice. I was also happy with the lychee rose boba with rainbow jellies. I didn't give them a sweetness level. It ended up being just the right amount of sweet. The prices are very reasonable for the large portion sizes in both food & drink. I will definitely be back to try more items from the menu. Next time I'll try the Musubi and Loco Moco. Lol! Just the mention of "loco moco" makes me laugh every time. Moco has a different meaning to children (moco heads) in Spanish. So funny!
Service was amazing, the lady working was so sweet and picked out a pink straw for me which was cute. She was busy but handled everything great. My poke bowl was so delicious with a huge serving (gave me like 3-4 meals!!) I also ordered the less sugar amber boba (brown sugar milk tea with boba) which was so yummy of course. Will absolutely be back and will be trying the chicken katsu next!
Best Hawaiian spot in the Tampa Bay Area. Service is great, food is delicious, and Musubi is traditional. First time getting ramen! Delicious. Prices are great. Hope they stay that way. Ambiance is small but for quick meals its descent.
Earlier today, I was driving down Dale Mabry and noticed Domoishi, I went further down, look the restaurant up and turned around. The way to order is through the kiosk that are set-up. Good music playing in the restaurant. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken with macaroni salad, fried rice and cabbage. Very flavorful and good. Also, I ordered the tempura shrimp with a dipping sauce which was delicious. And, I got a peach tea with honey boba, yum. The restaurant does delivery through different delivery companies. It's a good place which you can eat inside, outside or takeout.
Fun place for Hawaiian-ish comfort food. I was excited about the newest iteration of restaurant at this location. I love Hawaiian food, and I was thrilled at the idea of Hawaiian food in South Tampa. We were there during their soft open, and they offered up a 20% discount on our order, which was lovely. My family tried: the wings, the spicy honey soy chicken plate, the Hawaiian short ribs plate, and a bunch of boba drinks. The drinks came out quickly, and the food shortly thereafter. Portion size was very generous for both drinks and food. I thought everything was delicious, if light in the veggies (that's typical of the Hawaiian plate, I know). My son was in love with the short ribs, which were very tender. I'm glad to have a close by place for boba drinks, and I'm glad to be able to get rice plates in South Tampa!
Domoishi has been on my list to try since they've opened and I finally had the opportunity to do it today. We ordered some food to-go and it was ready approximately at our pick up time. We thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ plate, chicken katsu, the Korean chicken wings, and all the sides! The portion sizes a huge so you won't leave hungry. We especially loved the fried rice and macaroni salad. We also ordered the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls because they sounded interesting, and while they were good, they weren't as good as the other options and didn't go with the theme. Regardless, we loved the food overall and will be coming back soon.
We have been looking for a Hawaiian barbecue spot since we moved back here and display is truly over delivered. It's amazing. Fast service everything was super fresh and hot. This will definitely be a weekly staple.
First time here and it was sooo good! Was pretty quick for all this food and was $39 with tip included.

I've been wanting to try Domoishi since it opened, especially since I literally live across the street and have driven past it about a million times! Thursday night, I came home from work way too tired to cook, so I told my teenage son, "Let's order carryout." He had been here before, but this was my first time. We placed our order online, and the process was super easy and convenient. We ran an errand, then drove over to pick it up. I went inside and let them know I was there, and they told me it would be ready in about five minutes. They weren't kidding--the food was ready in less than five minutes! We ordered the Korean-style wings. I got the Hot Garlic and my son got the Sweet Teriyaki, and WOW--they were amazing. They were perfectly fried, crispy, and not overly seasoned or drenched in sauce. Everything was just right. We also ordered the Crab Rangoon, which was delicious. The atmosphere is very casual and laid-back, so this is definitely a good spot if you want to grab a quick bite or pick up your food and go. There are no servers and no bar or alcohol, so it's not really a sit-down, full-service type of restaurant. They do have a nice selection of cold beverages, though, and there is seating if you want to eat there. I'd say it's perfect for a quick, casual meal without a lot of fuss. I'm definitely glad I finally gave Domoishi a try, and it's absolutely going into my regular carryout rotation. Being right across the street doesn't hurt either! read more
Really love the vibe at Domoishi! Bright, clean, quaint, and welcoming, especially with the open windows. Perfect for an easy lunch or dinner, with generous portions and fast service as usual. Tried the spicy tuna this time and really enjoyed the flavor profile. I'm particular about texture, but this one was good! We also got the short rib to go, and the portion was just as packed. They definitely don't skimp on takeout. No shame, I'll be back more times than I can count! read more

fantastic! The employees were really kind. The seating area was small with only about 5 tables. Theres outside seating available too. There was a constant inflow of customers. We stopped by for lunch and the food came out quickly and was even better than we could've expected. What an incredible addition to Tampa! We ordered a ton of different food so we were able to try a nice variety of items. HUGE servings. We will have all the leftovers for dinner tonight. We will be back many times! We want to try everything! Our new favorite Hawaiian spot. read more

Ordered for pickup through DoorDash. Had the ramen, bbq chicken and the BBQ short ribs. Everything was delicious and the BBQ brought me back to Maui. Will definitely be ordering again. Huge portions and very reasonable pricing read more

This place is so good omg. The ribs had this sweet and savory flavor with a slight glaze and they were also super tender. Fried rice was delicious, it sorta gave hibachi style fried rice which I love. The Mac salad had an interesting flavor, not the same as typical American macaroni salad but delicious. I got there when they first opened and they got the food out super quickly. Good vibes in there, the playlist they had going was great. read more

Such delicious food at very reasonable prices. I love their poke bowls, so many toppings that it lasts me 2 meals! My kids love the orange chicken. The batter is light and the sauce delicious. Other favorites are the spring rolls and goyza. I'm so happy that Domoishi moved in as my neighbours! read more
