Spam and Fried Spam Musubi

Best Hawaiian spot in the Tampa Bay Area. Service is great, food is delicious, and Musubi is traditional. First time getting ramen! Delicious. Prices are great. Hope they stay that way. Ambiance is small but for quick meals its descent.

Domoishi Modern Hawaiian Kitchen in South Tampa

I had totally forgotten that Domoishi was opening up a location in South Tampa. I was reminded of that fact after seeing it on the way to International Plaza from MacDill AFB. There was no way I'd pass up an opportunity to visit it. First impression is that there isn't a whole lot of seating. Don't let that keep you from trying it. A table will eventually become available whether it's inside or outside. There's an automated ordering system, or you can just place your order at the counter. The ladies taking the orders are very efficient & helpful. I wasn't sure about the heat level of the spicy honey soy garlic sauce. She offered to put it on the side for me without me even asking. The service is great! The plate of chicken, white rice, and macaroni salad was really good. The chicken was crispy & tasty. The spicy sauce was on the side along with yum yum sauce. Both sauces were delicious. I especially love their macaroni salad. It's so creamy. I could eat a whole side of it. The white rice was good as well. One of the scoops of rice had the grains smooshed together. The other was perfectly separated. There was a little inconsistency there, but it didn't take anything away from the taste of the rice. I was also happy with the lychee rose boba with rainbow jellies. I didn't give them a sweetness level. It ended up being just the right amount of sweet. The prices are very reasonable for the large portion sizes in both food & drink. I will definitely be back to try more items from the menu. Next time I'll try the Musubi and Loco Moco. Lol! Just the mention of "loco moco" makes me laugh every time. Moco has a different meaning to children (moco heads) in Spanish. So funny!

Earlier today, I was driving down Dale Mabry and noticed Domoishi, I went further down, look the restaurant up and turned around. The way to order is through the kiosk that are set-up. Good music playing in the restaurant. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken with macaroni salad, fried rice and cabbage. Very flavorful and good. Also, I ordered the tempura shrimp with a dipping sauce which was delicious. And, I got a peach tea with honey boba, yum. The restaurant does delivery through different delivery companies. It's a good place which you can eat inside, outside or takeout.

Fun place for Hawaiian-ish comfort food. I was excited about the newest iteration of restaurant at this location. I love Hawaiian food, and I was thrilled at the idea of Hawaiian food in South Tampa. We were there during their soft open, and they offered up a 20% discount on our order, which was lovely. My family tried: the wings, the spicy honey soy chicken plate, the Hawaiian short ribs plate, and a bunch of boba drinks. The drinks came out quickly, and the food shortly thereafter. Portion size was very generous for both drinks and food. I thought everything was delicious, if light in the veggies (that's typical of the Hawaiian plate, I know). My son was in love with the short ribs, which were very tender. I'm glad to have a close by place for boba drinks, and I'm glad to be able to get rice plates in South Tampa!

Philly eggrolls. Good but not great.

Domoishi has been on my list to try since they've opened and I finally had the opportunity to do it today. We ordered some food to-go and it was ready approximately at our pick up time. We thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ plate, chicken katsu, the Korean chicken wings, and all the sides! The portion sizes a huge so you won't leave hungry. We especially loved the fried rice and macaroni salad. We also ordered the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls because they sounded interesting, and while they were good, they weren't as good as the other options and didn't go with the theme. Regardless, we loved the food overall and will be coming back soon.

Super delicious food for a great price, and they serve very large portions. Place was very clean and staff was very friendly! Highly recommend!

My friends and I got a variety of different dishes. Everything we tried was pretty good and quite enjoyable. The value can't be beat. It's a very small restaurant with limited seating but I think the food is worth it.

fantastic! The employees were really kind. The seating area was small with only about 5 tables. Theres outside seating available too. There was a constant inflow of customers. We stopped by for lunch and the food came out quickly and was even better than we could've expected. What an incredible addition to Tampa! We ordered a ton of different food so we were able to try a nice variety of items. HUGE servings. We will have all the leftovers for dinner tonight. We will be back many times! We want to try everything! Our new favorite Hawaiian spot.

Delicious and healthy Hawaiian spot with amazing flavor! Service was super quick, plenty of parking and a small amount of tables inside and outside. Will definitely be adding to the takeout rotation!

Ordered for pickup through DoorDash. Had the ramen, bbq chicken and the BBQ short ribs. Everything was delicious and the BBQ brought me back to Maui. Will definitely be ordering again. Huge portions and very reasonable pricing

Chicken wings, BBQ beef platter, BBQ short ribs platter, fried musubi.

This place slaps! The service is great, food comes out quick, and everything is so tasty. Mango smoothie is a must along with the wings as an appetizer. You can't go wrong with this menu.

We went around 12pm on a Tuesday and it was perfect, not too busy inside and not too hot outside so we were able to enjoy the scenery. As for food, we got the 4 pack empanadas from Empamama with two Mother Clucker empanadas and two Fresh Prince ones. We paired the empanadas with the bang bang sauce and it definitely added to the flavor, especially the Mother Clucker. The mother Clucker was an 8/10 for me while the fresh prince was a 7/10. The restaurant also offers a margarita slushy and an apple cider slushy which we had samples of and that was good. We ended up getting lemonade and strawberry lemonade from a different restaurant though because we were just feeling that instead. Overall, I spent about $30 here ($22 for food and $8 for drinks). I really emphasize that this is a casual spot and I would come here for a quick mid-day snack rather than for an entire meal. I was definitely still hungry after but the food was enough to hold me over for a couple hours.

The Ramen is okay, but it just doesn't hit like before. The restaurant was a laid back vide with Japanese inspired themes and music in the background. Our server points us to our table and hands us menus to start. We always start out with an edamame appetizer and then go ahead and order the ramen. My partner got the spicy tonkatsu and I had wanted to do the "make your own ramen" option. I really wanted wagyu but didn't like the toppings it came with. So I just made my own, though it was very costly to add more toppings, so I just chose 2. Overall, the experience was okay. It's not the worse ramen place I've been to but I'll probably only swing my when it's out of convenience

Didn't need all the micro greens for garnish on top but this could be overlooked because taste and flavor was amazing. The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!
