Let me tell you!!!! This place rocks! The staff is friendly and they are very attentive especially Kate. She rocks! I stopped in after a long day of working. I had the corned beef sandwich with a side salad. Kate recommended this dish and I just admit she was in point. She's very engaging so you can't go wrong when you sit at the bar. The sandwich will make you slap yo momma. It was cooked to perfection. They give you some type of sauce that goes with it and that just took me over the edge. I actually thought about licking the plate just to get all of the secret sauce that came with the sandwich. The adult beverages are excellent as well. They have a HUGE selection and variety. I certainly will be back next time I'm in Chicago. You all should stop by especially to see Kate and when you do tell em Drew sent ya! Y'all Be Easy!!! Drew read more

Great location and a good bar for a beer. THE PLACE: The bar has beautiful dark wood structures and plenty of seating areas. The ambience and live music (especially a flute player) are excellent. Bathrooms are tricky to find, but once there, all is clean. THE FOOD: Many many many many beer and drink options. Quite lovely to find a place with so many variations. On the night that I went, I ordered a pretzel and a beer. Beer was a expected (good and cold) and the pretzel was fresh, soft inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Came with two dips. THE SERVICE: My waiter was excellent, however, the restaurant seems understaffed and there was no one to greet or seat you upon arrival. read more

Get the fish and chips!!! They were both soooo good! It was pretty slow because it was busy but our waitress was so nice

Stumbled back from Dennis' Super Soaker Extravaganza to find that Kitty OShea's was still open. Sat down and the bartender knew exactly what I needed, miller high life (I'm not a communist), large order of potato soup, and a shoulder to cry on. Never been let down and this is the best Irish establishment this side of the Atlantic (shout out my boy Michael McDaisy from Dublin). read more

Service was excellent & the ambience is fun. Although they weren't busy, the food was a bit slow coming out & it wasn't 'hot'. Flavors good and serving was plentiful; just felt like the food sat under the warming lamps for a bit. read more

Twice the price it's worth. Menu promises flavors and interest in both food and drinks but kitchen and bar deliver basics.

The staff were all great, loved chatting with them. The drinks were on par, and the bartenders were generous. The food, however, was another story. One of the items I ordered was a hummus plate. How do you even f*** that up? It was served in a Mason jar with awful tasting goop slapped on top. The hamburger bun had a bad aftertaste. Side salad was depressing. Salmon dinner was meh. The sidewinder fries were actually alright, it was just a lot of them! Please revamp your overpriced, unpalatable menu. PLEASE. read more

Did not like the food here. The written menu will make your mouth water. The options all sound so good but that my friends is where the good ends. The execution of these dish preparations leave much to be desired. How an Irish pub can mess up corned beef is beyond my comprehension. Didn't think it could happen and yet it did. The fish and chips, not good. We even tried desserts thinking at least that would be good. Nope. You have to seat yourself which means you have to walk around trying to find a table for your group. All of the whole three empty tables were not bused so we had to stand guard while we waited for that to happen. The waitress was putting in work trying to be both waitress and bus person. She put in good effort. The food was just very underwhelming. Don't see myself ever returning here for food. read more

Came here on a recent business trip and decided to try this place out. We sat at the bar which had a nice feel to it. It's located in the Hilton, but I believe it can be accessed from the street as well. It's a typical Irish bar, lots of cool pics and trinkets all over the place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu isn't very large. I had a hard time finding something that I wanted (I'm kind of a picky eater at times). I ordered the Mac & Cheese with beef and my co-worker ordered a steak. Overall, we were unimpressed with the portion sizes compared to how much everything cost. The steak he got was way smaller than expected and it was pretty pricey. He did say it tasted good though. The mac and cheese I got was just alright..nothing special. If I were to come back here again it would probably be just for a drink, I don't think I'd eat here again. read more

Highly upset... I called in for a takeout of three orders of shepherds pie.. HIGHLY UPSET.. got it home, only to discover it was deconstruct it.. watery mashed potatoes, over cooked largely cut carrots, canned over cooked green peas, and a cup of gravy sloppy Joe looking meat.. All separated in small portions in a take out containr( at least it was recyclable- styrofoam).. with a couple of dry little puff pastry balls thrown in.. The worst $70 I've ever spent.. THERE ARE JUST THINGS YOU DO NOT SCREW AROUND WITH.. UGGGGGG !! read more

Staying at Hotel took easy option eating here. Fish and chips, fish greasy and soft fish no good. Chips were good though. Other meal was burger no flavor unless covered in sauce or ketchup. Leaving Hotel and Chicago tomorrow don't eat here. Bar looks good though so just drink. Waitress was nice read more

The burger was not good. It come on a weird bun and the bread is about 70% of the sandwich.

It's in the hotel which means it's "hotel" food. Service is kind of slow but it's adequate and convenient if you're staying at the hotel.

A classic Irish bar inside of a gorgeous hotel. The winter fries are delicious, although a little thick. The drinks, however, take center stage. I consider myself a heavy weight, and was considerably blacked out after two martinis and two of the gimlet lemonades. They must make them double, or considerably alcoholic. Either way, the cocktails aren't overpriced so much as 2 for 1 quality. The service is typically fast-- might need to wait, but you still prompt. read more

Kitty O'Shea's is located inside the Hilton Chicago Hotel. I had missed lunch my first day there - I got into the hotel late in the afternoon after flying into ORD from Dulles. So I hit up Kitty's and sat at the bar for a late lunch. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie, plus a glass of water with Lime. I also requested some hot sauce - but not Tabasco! The food came out in short order. The dish was piping hot and tasty. I always add Black Pepper and hot sauce to Shepherd's Pie. They brought me a small container of their wing hot sauce, which I drizzled over the pie. Good, delicious hot sauce! The Shepherd's Pie was served with a side of roasted asparagus - which had an earthy, smoky flavor to it - was really good! Overall, the dish was good and hit the spot! Later, my work colleague and I visited for dinner. We sat at the end of the bar. I ordered a salad - which was rather large and filling - and a pint of a local Ale - the Tuna Session IPA (Half Acre Beer Company, Chicago, IL). Not bad as Session IPAs go - the Ale had a bit of a grassy finish to it. I tried to come back late one evening on a Wednesday night - around 11:30 pm - after our event in the hotel was concluded - but the place was packed wall-to-wall, shoulder-to-shoulder and was very loud - so I skipped out and went to the 720 Bar & Grill (lobby bar). Service was good. I'd definitely come back here again. #KittyOSheas read more

It's nice that the hotel has a restaurant/Irish bar to hang out in when it's too cold in ChiTown to go out. Burgers looked great. Fish and Chios HUGE but the Chicken Pot Pie was not good at all and didn't resemble a pot pie at all. It was basically a puff pastry with a slice of chicken on top and two small dollops of cold mash potatoes on top. The sauce was yummy and hot but that's all that was hot and there wasn't enough sauce. This item should state on the menu that it is not a true pot pie. I was so cold and craving a hot pot pie and had to work my way through a slice of chicken and cold mash potatoes. I did not send it back because I was hungry. The service was ok. Had to ask for more water and it wasn't even too busy. read more

Ate here once because of the convenience, twice because it was that good. It was delicious but salt and pepper please! Loaded potato soup I was told was fantastic,. The fish and chips (outstanding tartar sauce and chips/fries were crisp and tasty) and the Mac n cheese was scrumptious; however, no longer rib meat but chicken in the Mac n cheese. The chicken seemed to come pre cooked but it tasted good. Went for brunch the next morning and was told the omelette was good and the Irish breakfast was good- price not so much. The French toast I could have ordered double- that good. Wonderful servers both times! I'll be back! read more

This place was located in our hotel and open late so we decided to stop by. It's basically a bar late at night, but it does have food and live entertainment. I didn't like the whole set up. We walked in, sat ourselves, and waited for the waitress. It took her forever to come to us. The tables were sticky and wobbly. I spilled most of my drink trying to get off the stool. I ordered the chicken pot pie because I love chicken pot pie. Disappointing. Nice crust, pretty nice portion, but bland soup and undercooked vegetables. Oh well, what can I expect from late night food? Obviously it won't be as good as if it was dinner time. read more

Nice place in the Hilton to have lunch/dinner and some Guinness beers. Nice wait staff.

I give this place a 3.5. I went for lunch and wasn't impressed. The burger bun ratio was off. Service and food were mediocre, at best. I went for drinks later that night and the service was fast and efficient. I think Kitty O'Sheas are like most places. Hit or miss. read more

Had the fish and chips, soup and some Jameson. We had an issue with the soup, but the manager took fantastic care of our ticket. I won't go into details about the soup, but the staff was amazing. I would say it's average pub food with good live music. read more

Best fish and chips I have had. Staff is super friendly as well. Recommend 100 times over!

I love this place. They have the best fries I've ever had. Food is delish, especially their Irish dishes. A great place for happy hour and dinner. We never miss out when in Chicago! Head down to Kitty O'Shea's for an amazing Irish feel!! Live music set the tone for the experience and over 100 Irish whiskeys topped it off. Wait staff was super helpful in setting up a table for our party of 9. And very understanding when we all took our time trickling in. My old fashioned was on point and delightfully strong. My partners beer choice of a milk stout was also amazing. The fish and chips were AMAZING. Thick piece of cod in a light fry was savory and went great with the sauce. The fries were outstanding. This place is a little pricey but I left not feeling like I overpaid. It's worth the visit for sure. read more

I wish I could say there was an experience, walked in sat down and waited and waited some more nobody acknowledged me after I asked if anyone was working in my area . I was given a menus than waited some more. I was embarrassed to tell my wife I was still waiting for any one to take an order. I will not be back , I'm not from Chicago but if I was still would not be back . I can get ignored at home . It must be because of Covid a good excuse for bad service read more

Super great service by bar staff, nice vibe - and they have veggie burgers! Recommend!

Corned Beef Sliders and Shepard's Pie are a MUST. So yummy. We were staying at the Hilton and didn't want to go out since it was raining and foggy. It just warmed me up inside, Kids liked their mac n cheese and fish n chips. read more

In town for a conference and this bar is located in Hilton so stopped in for a desert and wine. We ear here when we attend the Blackhawks Convention since the restaurant is conveniently located in the hotel. The food is pretty good. Id consider it a mix of traditional Irish and American with a twist. The bar has not only Irish beer but a mix of drinks that you find at most bars. We sat outside since the weather has been great. I'm glad we did because where this place lacks is the inside. It needs an overhaul. It's as you'd expect a pub to look but quite dingy which made it feel dirty. The chairs and layout are awkward and need to be replaced. I think it would help the overall appearance read more

The food here is mediocre for the price. I ordered the wings which needed a heavy dose of salt, and the harissa dipping sauce was pretty miserable. Super disappointed. Stayed at the Hilton to run in the Shamrock Shuffle. My husband and I went after checking in. We were both super hungry so it was pretty easy to please us at this point. 19 dollars for a hamburger that was terrible. I am pretty sure the bun was stale. My husband ordered a steak that was super small and not good. We probably should have sent back both our meals.... Would never eat there again. Service was decent. read more

My husband and I stayed that the Hilton Chicago and came here for dinner. He ordered the salmon and I ordered the fish sandwich as well as the cinnamon margarita. His salmon was topped with maybe quinoa on top (?) had a side of potatoes, green beans and also a delicious cream on the salmon. Overall the dish was very well made and a great healthier meal to counter all the unhealthy food we ate this trip. My fish sandwich was so good! I was pleasantly surprised by the pickle that came with it. I ordered it with fries on the side and I loved the cut of the fries. It was a cut like a curly fry but cooked like a french fry. The cinnamon margarita was also amazing. Overall a slid location for dinner or a drink. read more

This place doesn't deserve it's mediocre rating. It is way better than your standard hotel bar. Seating is a little awkward you just have to sort of wander around and find a spot. Otherwise though, It was great. The fish and chips with malt vinegar, drinks and the warm blueberry pie with Guinness ice cream was amazing. It's bar food done right. Not sure what the others were expecting from bar food. Place was jam packed and yet our waitress was on top of everything. Then, unexpectedly, an amazing Irish music duo started playing. Walking into this place was a waste of our time. We literally walked in at 2pm or so and I felt like I walked into an abandoned bar saloon with Spotify Premium playing in the background. There was literally nobody in the restaurant like a hostess/manager/waiter to greet us or a sign that even said, "Sit down and we'll get there." I would have been ok with just that! Eventually, my wife and I got tired of trying to figure out if there was any life here and started to make our way out. As we were walking out, lo and behold, there was a waitress approaching. Could this be it? Somebody to acknowledge we would be willing to pay to eat at this place? Nah, she just stopped, wondering when we were going to get out of her way. We politely acknowledged her request to get out of her way, and walked out with a mission to never come back here and let the world of Yelp know about it. read more

What to say about Kitty O'Shea's. Yes it expensive and usually crowded but it's also a lot of fun. The Hilton on Michigan is our preferred downtown hotel.
