Great spot for lunch!…read more My husband and I stopped in on our way back to our Airbnb after a long morning hike. This place is counter service, so we made our way directly to the register to place our order. Upon ordering, we were warned that it would be at least a 30 minute wait until our food was ready due them being short staffed. Although we were hungry, we weren't in a rush and truly appreciated the heads up! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and WOWZA! The sandwich was HUGE! I took a photo of my Gatorade bottle laying next to it for comparison (haha). I hardly ate half of it because it was so filling, however it was definitely delicious. My husband ordered a sandwich of his own (although I can't remember which one) and he was equally pleased. We also ordered a side of tots which were crispy and salty, just how I like them! My husband and I definitely could've shared one sandwich as we both don't eat a lot in one sitting, so this is something to keep in mind if you're reading this before your first visit here!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we chose to sit on the front patio. It was such a lovely atmosphere for lunch! Also, because we were sitting outside, they told us to come back in 30 minutes to check if our order was ready because we wouldn't be able to hear them call our name. All in all, a pleasant experience! Would definitely recommend this place for lunch, especially if you're in the mood for sandwiches.

Very colorful interior with bar at the end of the space and an outdoor area. There has been quite a few different vendors over the last five years there. On our last visit we decided to try Nami Yum Yum. We ordered a veggie sushi sandwich ($14) for me, which featured a few veggies with rice wrapped up in soy paper; New York Strip ($25) for him, which was a bowl with steak, roasted potatoes and other things; Sweet Plantains ($6) for the table, with cream and cotija. We both got a Jarritos each. Service was timely. Everything was creative. I never had a sushi sandwich. It tasted pretty good too. I wasn't really feeling well and couldn't enjoy it as much as I intended to, but it was nevertheless yummy and unique. My sandwich came with a side of puffed up chips (I actually don't know what they are called). The plantains were also very good. I am glad we ordered them as a side because it was a good side to eat with our meals. Overall no complaints, I would eat there again.

We decided to grab dinner here last minute on Saturday night of our trip to Beacon. This seemed…read morelike a great option because it meant that my husband and I could order different meals but still eat them together. There were only 5 different food stalls plus the ice cream stall in the very front, however only 3 of the food stalls were open at 7pm on a Saturday. This is a small town, so I get it, but I was thoroughly surprised at this because of how crowded the entire town had been all weekend (it was truly the perfect weather to be out here!). The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

The chicken/potato dumpling is stellar. The perfect combination of carrots and vegetables and truly a well thought out, elevated dish. *Flank steak dish with poutine was alright. Good for what it was. *Food took 40 minutes to come out, which is a long time when you didn't order appetizers. Waitress made eye contact and realized we weren't served, but didn't approach us to check-in intentionally because she could tell there was a delay. The delay would make sense if it weren't for the fact that we got in as soon as the restaurant opened, on a weekday. Anyway, the chicken potato dumpling dish is the saver of this review. Would come back for it.

Dominican-style salami, fried cheese, and fried eggs served alongside mangú. Mangú, is boiled, mashed plantains and originated in West Africa. I was loving all the culture I was learning by simply dining here but what about the food right? Huge fan of the fried cheese, fried salami was okay, eggs basic but good, and the mangú I was a fan however it does not pack a ton of flavor in my opinion I also bought one Tequeno, which is a fried spear of wheat dough stuffed with semi-hard queso blanco. This is a popular snack in Venezuela. I was not a fan of this however as it was very tasteless. In my opinion it needed a dipping sauce of some sort.
