Hate to write this but.... Came for a celebration to grab a pair of steaks, drinks and laughs! First, the serving staff was great and attentive. I ordered the Prime Ribeye medium rare and my buddy ordered the filet. Unfortunately the ribeye felt like it had no seasoning (not even salt or pepper) and although was pink was also dry which overall was weird as ribeyes usually pack flavor and moisture. Upon telling my server she recommended an aged steak instead. Upon receiving the aged steak, the steak was definitely more tender and juicy but still lacked a sense of seasoning and flavor. Overall the drinks were good and the atmosphere pleasant. With leftovers in hand I dropped the steak at home on a pad of butter and the steak was alive again.... We are here this past weekend for first time and the food was really good except for my husband sirloin which was tough but my steak would melt in your mouth . Waiter was really nice and on top of everything the only complaints is the sirloin steak and the fact they give you an iPad with other items on it , come on really just put it in the menu . read more

What can I say...this place was AMAZING! Located right in Winstar, by the hotel and resort resort building, we had to try it! This place only takes reservations, so tell your Host to reserve for you. Our host is amazing, her name is Kelly, and she got us in! She also was so sweet and got us a voucher for a free chefs dessert. We always go to Winstar and have heard great things about Kirby. When we came, we came 30 min before but they still sat us down. When we came the host there was kinda rude she said "do you have a reservation!", like not even a hello or how can I help you. She was blonde, Caucasian , not very nice. She sat us down, and our waiter greeted us immediately, he was a fast talker too. I think he got the idea somehow we only Wanted entrees? He was taken back by how much we were ordering, I wish he kept an open mind. I had to keep interrupting him saying "and also-" when he thought I was done. We ordered the fried asparagus, cheese dip with bread, oysters, fried pickles, friend calamari, as our appetizers. The fried asparagus was delicious, just too big in our opinion. The cheese dip was AMAZING! It came with thin crunch bread, so gooooood! The oysters were disappointing...not plump or big. The fried pickles were succulent and crispy' I enjoyed them. And the Calamari was amazing too, not too chewy. For dinner we had the plank salmon, creamy, and delicious. I had the king crab, I like how they de-shelled it for me! It came in a bowl of butter, wow so good! And I had a side of lobster risotto, PLEASE GET THIS U WONT REGRET IT. I'm a fan of cheese and man it was so CHEESEY AND yummy. And corn too! We dined at Mickey Mantle's, but food was from Kirby's. It was my husband's birthday and they already had a table reserved for us, which made him feel so special! We ordered drinks, and the Basil Hayden Rye Old Fashioned was amazing! We started off with the cheese curds, lightly fried with more cheese than batter, which is what I prefer. Again, delicious! Then of course I ordered a steak complete with sides. My steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection! So juicy and tender and accompanied with some mashed potatoes. The potatoes were not bad, but with the steak as fantastic as it was, and other mouth watering sides (mushroom risotto) available; I think they could have left them off or offered them a la carte. My husband ordered the sea bass complete with sautéed green beans, and was not disappointed. He ate every last bite and I helped myself to his green beans. We also ordered the mushroom risotto, and I will order that next time as my meal! It was so creamy with just the right amount of cheese and mushrooms. Yum! I have eaten at many fine dining steak houses, we ordered an $80 steak. When the steak came out it was dry and overcooked for a medium done steak. It tasted like a hamburger steak with no gravy. I immediately let the waiter know which was more then apologetic but the manger came out and was rude. We got the remake and it was raw in the middle. Impossible to get in. You can wait in line but you still won't get in. The line gets you into Mickey Mantels which is a sports bar next door, a very nice sports bar but a sports bar, not an upscale steakhouse. Ones inside Mickey Mantels you can order off of the Kirby's menu and pay high dollar steakhouse prices to eat it in a sports bar but pay the same. It's a shame because Mickey Mantels is a place I actually would love go to catch a game, have a beer and enjoy the typical sports bar affair but you can't because everyone has to wait in the line for Kirby's that just eventually (after a very long wait) funnels them into Mickey Mantels instead. Out of the 15 times I have waited in that line I have only made it into Kirby's one time, ONCE! Once inside it was lack luster to say the least, definitely not worth the hype or the wait. I have even tried making reservations a head of time and have Ben unsuccessful. I can get into all the major top steakhouses in Fort Worth and just call ahead maybe an hour and get a table (Capital Grille, Grace, Del Friscos, etc) No problem! read more

We made reservations for Mickey mantles bar as it is part of Kirby's. We always ask for a booth and never had a problem getting one. There was an empty on when we were there and were told that was for a large party. The service was very good from our waiter but I thought the price was bad for what we got. No one sat at our booth for 40 minutes into our meal then one women was seated there. We complained to management and we're told we were late for our reservation and he did us a favor by seating us. We were 5 mins past the deadline. The problem is that management doesn't have the customer knowledge to think on their feet. The high school kids that seat you or the host only know what they are told. Always enjoyed coming here while at the casino but when they act like they are doing you a favor just to let me in we'll no thanks. I don't need your favor. read more

Absolutely terrible experience from a "signature steakhouse" - hostess greeting us with "Yes?" instead of a normal guest salutation like "Hi, how can I help you?" - reservation clearly noted that it was a special occasion - not communicated to the server, never got her name - server literally touched the bottom of her shoe and straightened out her pants while going over the evenings specials - drinks were refilled by other servers and it was not busy. I'm a former server and can absolutely empathize when someone is "in the weeds" and she was not. Bisque served then entree served right after. So I couldn't finish my lobster bisque. I had a near full bowl of bisque wasted. I was like just take it away... To say I was annoyed was an understatement. My daughter, 8 years old, ordered cheese fries. They were served without cheese. It was dry and not good at all. She would not eat it. My husband called to complain bc I didn't want to make a scene with my daughter bc we were celebrating her show that night. Want to commend the Kirby's WinStar team for an awesome experience on Monday August 15th. It was a repeat visit but worthy of a review. Abraham, professional server, recommended a Chef's special shrimp appetizer that paired perfectly with the Roquefort beef filet that followed. Oh and the Chef's special mushroom soup with beef tips - awesome. The whole meal couldn't have been better prepared or presented more perfectly by the whole dining room staff. Also wanted to call out Alan from the host team, who accommodated a special seating request - and who over the last few months was performing host duties while wearing a boot on his foot due to an injury. The boot is gone but definitely a sign of a trooper to stay positive and professional throughout. Can't wait to be back! read more

The steaks were dry, the asparagus was under cooked, and we were served rice cooked in broth that was supposed to be risotto. We ate at the Mickey Mantle side of the restaurant. It's not listed on here because Kirby's Steak House owns it, but it's a separate restaurant. First off, as a big Mick fan and Yankees fan, this place was awesome! I absolutely loved the lay out of the place and all the nostalgia. I had an old fashioned and my wife had a martini, they were both made and presented well. We also had fried mushrooms as our appetizer, they were gone within minutes. We both had the steak and lobster, it was a special not on the menu. I had the jalapeño soup as my side, and it was perfect. I don't know if I have had many better steaks. Whilst visiting Winstar for the night we decided to have dinner here and being a Monday it was really quiet, but we sat at the Mickey Mantle bar want husband is a huge baseball fan and wanted to look at the trinkets. Our server was really nice and efficient and knowledgable about the menu. We started with the fried mushrooms, which were delicious and a huge portion. We each had a cocktail which were both good and the server said there was a mini surf and turf special which is what we both decided to try as our main. We are so glad we did! It came with either a soup or salad. I had the salad which was nice and hubby had the jalapeno soup which he loved. The steak we both had cooked medium and it was perfect. The lobster was also cooked so well and it came with a baked potato, which we had loaded. We booked reservations for each of our two nights stays at Kirby's. This restaurant is incredible. I love it! My first dinner night I ordered a dinner salad and my entree as a delicious filet and baked potato. Stefan was our waiter and the food and the service was out of this world. Our second dinner night I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and John was our outstanding waiter. Another absolutely delicious meal and both John and Stefan waited on our table. Sat us in the corner under an air vent and I kept sneezing. The air vents extremely dirty and dusty. We ordered the tomahawk steak and lobster. The lobster was soaked in a thick scampi butter sauce which tasted horrible. The best thing about my order was the baked the potato. They tried to make it up by comping the dessert and one of our drinks. The server was excellent. She did everything possible to make sure we were okay. The manager told us we got "the special" and that's why our lobster tail was covered in sauce. Huh??? 150.00...hmmmm discount? Uh ok. Took my son to Kirby's to celebrate being on Dean's list in college. I made it clear that I wanted the regular ribeye and not pay the extra $10 for the dry aged ribeye. The server definitely heard this and repeated my order to me before submitting it to the kitchen. I received the dry-aged ribeye and started to eat it. I found it OK, but not out of this world tasty...I didn't know it was the dry-aged ribeye. The server came out after I had eaten half the steak and explained that she switched it to the dry-aged steak because I would enjoy it more....I said thank you and thought I would be charged for the regular steak. She charged me for the dry-aged ribeye. I took this out of her tip at the end of the night. I also thought I made reservations for Mickey Mantle's as my son is a baseball player. If you are going to charge $52 for steak and a crab cake, please do not keep them under a heat lamp to keep warm because you were understaffed and can't handle the crowd. We spent 20 minutes in line, waiting for a table, and once we sat down the service was subpar. There were 4 of us and all of our dishes were over cooked. We only sent back one because that was the most inedible one. Which only the steak was comped. We were overcharged for drinks and the manager did nothing about it, he argued with us that that was the way the price worked. I had the old fashion with Buffalo Trace and my husband had Buffalo Trace on the rocks. I was charged $9 for mine but he was charged $18? The manager literally argued with us, no one around actually understood. In reality we could have sent back all 4 dishes and they would've had to eat that cost, I now wish we would have. So, we left after paying a $200 tab, just for me and my husband, for a really bad meal. Never again will we step foot in this place, or any other related establishment. I was so disappointed, it was our anniversary. And instead that evening was compromised. You have to realize that you are considered a "high end" establishment, people pay for the experience as well as the food. And we pay a lot of money period considering your location.
