Receipt of food delivery that never happened.
Cindy B.

I ordered food for a girlfriend whom has recent back surgery and unable to move much as part of a meal train for her. 8 live over 50 miles away in an area that gets no delivery service at all so the idea of delivery to not something I'm super familiar with. I ordered from King Noodle website, asked for ASAP delivery and received the attached texts. I assumed everything had gone as planned and went into a movie where I was unavailable. My phone is set up to not answer unknown calls, at 845pm I found our my girlfriend never received her food at all! Upon calling the restaurant, they were closed and beyond menu has no contact information except an email. I feel Wolfgang sure didn't earn that tip I included!! Edit: the restaurant did reach out to me and helped discuss a resolution.

We were looking for a new place to try and decided on King Noodle. Service was fast and super friendly and accommodating. The crab rangoons are not sweet thank god, you could really taste the green onion too. We also ordered the spicy tuna sushi roll, sooooooo good and a great size! We shared a beef with broccoli meal with fried rice and I was beyond glad that the brown sauce wasn't sweet! Everything tasted fresh, we will DEFINITELY BE BACK!

We had a delightful, quiet Monday evening at King noodle. The service was excellent, friendly, and quick. I had the P1 eye round steak pho which was wonderful! This will be my new place for pho! BF had B3 vermicelli charbroiled pork and he loved it! We also shared an order of pork egg rolls which came with sweet & sour sauce. They were fresh & delicious. Happily they are also close to our house and we will be back soon!

Chicken spring rolls, meatball/tofu pho, and taro boba tea.
Danielle B.

I just moved to Texas 9 days ago and have already been here twice! So far, everything I've had has been very fresh and high quality. The bean sprouts are crisp (and don't have a bunch of tails), the pho broth is flavorful (and the meatballs don't have too much fat), the milk tea is just the right amount of sweet, the spring rolls come with an excellent peanut sauce that's not too thick yet not too runny, and they're flexible about making changes to menu items (such as choosing different pho broths or adding/removing ingredients). I especially like that they've never been busy when I've gone, so there's typically less than 5 occupied tables and there's an ample amount of parking available. As far as atmosphere, the lighting is low and the decorations are minimal. They have a large fish tank and I noticed that there were two sick Koi (erratic swimming and scale shedding) the first time I visited who were gone the second time I stopped in for lunch, so I'm concerned that the fish tank is overcrowded or that there's bacteria present. The prices are also a bit high for my taste. The meatball and tofu pho with taro milk tea plus chicken spring rolls was $36, whereas I could get the same thing at my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Madison, WI for around $25. However, I understand that prices differ from state-to-state and I'm no longer living in Wisconsin so it wouldn't be fair for me to compare those prices. The male staff member is very straight forward and rarely smiles so some people may view him as rude but I don't think that's the case. I've seen him eat lunch, have a meeting, answer the phone, AND clean the fish tank all while promptly serving customers and remembering orders without even writing them down. It takes skill to be able to shuffle between that many activities at once while keeping your sanity intact, so if that's not an experienced and admirable work ethic then I don't know what is!

Beef Sirloin Pho

I stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. I was promptly greeted and sat. When I told the server I only had 30 minutes he was super attentive and kept me on schedule. I had a wonderful bowl of piping hot beef Pho. This definitely satisfied my craving and I will definitely be back!

We came here around 8pm, even though it was almost the time they are going to close but staff here still very friendly and gave us good service : ) Food was good, place was very clean and service was great

Spicy beef noodles soup

Mmmmmmm yummy fresh noodles with decent portions of meat and fresh veggies in all the food. My friend and I had to give it a try....the prices are a bit high...but the portions of food and the high quality justify it. I HAD THE SPICY BEEF NOODLE SOUP....SOOO GOOD AND I am stuffed from the large portion(see picture)

Rice Noodle Pho with chicken.
Rick M.

The food was fresh and very well prepared. I ordered the fried pork egg rolls, but they were a little over cooked.. almost burnt on the outside. Egg drop soup was very good. The chicken Pho was good but I didn't like the chicken that much. I'll try the vegetable Pho next time. Even though it's the same price. The service is good for only having one person doing everything. Overall I would recommend this place.

Dining lobby
Damian C.

Hmmm.... This is an establishment that is small, has a loyal consumer base and regulars, as the owner/host knows them by name. However, I can't help feeling like this is a tremendous missed opportunity of a restaurant. Nestled in cedar park, the facade is in an updated strip mall but its windows are in need of some attention. Upon entry, after being seated, you are inundated with modern and traditional Asian culture. It's an amalgamation combined fine dining do's and don't's. ‍ That being said, onto the food!! I ordered a dragon roll that was pretty delicious!! And you can watch the chef make it. My entree was a teriyaki chicken bento box. My only drawback was that my chicken looked like sesame chicken and tasted like orange chicken. I like all three so, I guess, it was a win-win-win?!..‍. The atmosphere left room for improvement; the owner served as the host, and sole waiter. With the minimal foot traffic this works for them.

Szechuan Tofu with Veggie Spring Rolls
Anders N.

Special thanks to the delivery driver for including chopsticks! Order arrived on time and was a good temperature. Decided to try their Szechuan Tofu and Veggie Spring Rolls. The Szechuan tofu was good but didn't have the mouth numbing heat to it that I was hoping for. The heat level was decent though and had a good burn! Even though the tofu looked like it had been marinated, it was not as flavorful as I was expecting either. I like that they used extra firm tofu for the dish and it had a nice chewiness to it though. The veggies that came with the sauce were good too and they added a needed crunch to the dish. The veggie spring rolls were a last minute decision and I'm glad I made it! They came with a peanut dipping sauce along with chili garlic. The peanut sauce was more on the sweet side and had less of a nutty taste to it but was overall refreshing to have alongside the Szechuan dish. I do wish they had packed some tofu into these but I enjoyed them still! Will check out some other dishes from here in the future.

Best noodles I ever had! nancy is such a nice lady she always welcome us with a big smile I love the place and the service is great!

Ryan D.

Good food. Prices average. Not crowded off lunch hour. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Meday P.

I used to give this place five stars, but today I wasn't pleased with the owner or the lady worker. They were quite impolite and did not have my dinner ready when I arrived. The to-go orders I placed using the DoorDash app a 30-minute ahead. When I arrived I requested an update, and the owner rudely replied, "I don't know!" No wonder they received negative reviews--the food was also not as nice as it was. Despite there being few customers, they are still slowly making food in time. I hope they will be gone asap! But for sure they won't have my business nearly $80 each time! Bye!!

After reading all the 5 star reviews I was feeling very hopeful with high expectations of the food. We ordered most of the recommended items as well as my favorite nigiri pieces one can't really go wrong with. Hamachi carpaccio 5/5 - this was the first thing that came out and really enjoyed this dish. Really great flavor and very citrusy Yuki roll - Not gonna lie but this had similar flavor profile as the hamachi carpaccio so wasn't as impressed. Also I noticed the texture of the hamachi was really soft and not as firm as I am usually used to Salmon belly nigiri - didn't love it, honestly was a bit fishy King salmon nigiri - this is when we started noticing that most of the fish has this soft, gummy like texture which makes it unappealing to eat, didn't love this one either Dry aged hamachi nigiri - appreciated the size of the fish but again experienced that mushy like texture which overwhelms the eating experience because I didn't want to keep chewing it let alone eat it Santa Barbara Uni nigiri - it was meh nothing special Scallop nigiri - the way it was served it was impossible to eat because it wasn't sliced in a way to eat it properly. I literally didn't eat it because it was served as a whole scallop vertically on the rice Snow trout (special) nigiri - looked promising but again it had that unpleasant texture which by this point we wanted to stop eating overall because it was making it hard to enjoy Big toro roll (which came out last) - definitely the most disappointing we barely ate it and even the toro on top and the toro mixture in the middle also had that odd texture that made all the fish taste the same like gummy mush we barely ate it and actually left most of it uneaten Though the food felt very overhyped and was extremely underwhelming, the service we received from the waiters was very good. I'm truly hoping we went on an off night but even then I don't think we would return.

I can see this being a casual and intimate date spot, without venturing into too fancy of a dinner. We got the Fire dragon roll - we mostly ordered this for the spectacle because we saw on the menu that it would be on fire. And it was so cool! It's completely wrapped in foil while on fire, which isn't as cool, but it was still cool regardless. But eating it, this was our favorite that we tried. The eel is so soft, it just melts in your mouth. And the fire in the foil makes the roll so warm and creamy. Which I know isn't something you really want when you think sushi, but it was so good. The rollercoaster roll - I think the taste of this roll wasn't necessarily anything special. It was good and it had a little spicy kick. But what set it apart was the tempura inside gave it some crunchy bits that were fun to eat. Yellowtail tornado roll - I really liked the yellowtail in this roll! But I'm not the biggest fan of jalapeño, so this one was just okay for me. Lemon salmon roll - this roll was really light and refreshing! Probably my second favorite of the night. But the citrus flavor was pretty strong, since it had yuzu sauce and sliced lemon on top. I feel like I would have liked it more if it was just the yuzu without the lemon.

The prices are certainly not on the "all you can eat" sushi restaurant scale, but you are paying premium for premium. On this visit, we arrived during their happy hour. Do check out their HH menu; it is more than generous. I'm not going to bore you with our selections, but the sushi is so tender and fresh that you are insulting the chef and the fish by adding soy sauce and wasabi! One highlight was the Spicy Tuna Katsu Maki; this entrée is wrapped in a seaweed cone with asparagus, avocado, wasabi mayo, and eel sauce. Another was Uni from their imported from Japan menu. We finally made it back last Saturday for lunch, and it was definitely worth the wait. I was initially excited to try one of their bento meals after seeing the menu online, but the prices at the restaurant were much higher than what was posted. That's understandable considering how much costs have gone up over the years, so we decided to go with the AYCE option instead. It turned out to be the perfect choice. A special shoutout to our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot to ask. She was friendly, attentive, and honest enough to recommend that we not order too much at first because the tempura portions are much larger than expected. The portion sizes here are much bigger than what we're used to at AYCE sushi restaurants in San Antonio. The shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura were generously sized, with thick, crispy batter that was still flavorful and delicious. Some of our favorite were the Salmon Skin salad, which stayed perfectly crispy even with the dressing, and the Mushroom Soup, which was light, flavorful, and not thick or creamy like many other versions. The shrimp and chicken shumai, chicken karaage, mango rolls, and all of the sashimi we ordered were fresh and delicious as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Between the generous portions, fresh and tasty food, and outstanding service, Sushi Bang Bang reminded us why we enjoyed dining here years ago. I dipped it in soy sauce, and for those who avoid preservatives, they even offer a soy sauce with just soy, wheat, salt, and water -- perfect for me! I ended up ordering four orders of six rolls (yes, they were that good) and ate them all by myself. Each order was about $9, with $7 for just salmon -- avocado was an add-on. The Sexy Mango roll was my mom's favorite -- she said it tasted refreshing. We also tried sashimi sushi, which was served in a cool cup and tasted amazing. My brother went all out and ate 30 avocado rolls, and the chef was kind enough to give him a super-sized sushi with extra avocado and rice -- I was so jealous! I also tried the Beef Bulgogi, which was delicious and priced at about $13 -- very reasonable. Around 4:00 pm on Saturday, the restaurant wasn't crowded, which made it perfect to enjoy our meal. The K-pop music in the background was a fun touch, too. Seriously, the salmon avocado rolls were the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back next time I'm nearby!

The quality of the fish seemed decent, but I wish there was more of it in the roll. And I wish the wasabi was a little stronger. The chicken udon bowl was probably my favorite of the night. The udon itself was the perfect texture and really bouncy. The broth was deep and had a rich sweetness. And the chicken was really juicy. The chashu ramen was okay though. I wish the noodles were cooked a little more, I wish the pork was more tender, and I wish the egg was jammier since the whole yolk was basically hard boiled.
