Dessert dumplings
Aurelia R.

King Dumpling hands down is one of my top dumpling shops in Colorado. The flavor of each item we ordered was amazing and the ambiance of being in a small dumpling shop watching the chefs roll and prep the dumplings was fun. I was awestruck with the soup dumplings, we had both the chicken and the truffle dumplings. Each had their own unique flavor, however, the chicken dumpling was my favorite because it had this almost creamy flavor to the broth that was both smooth and tasty. Finally, the staff were super nice and gave great recommendations. I cannot wait to come back and get some more dumplings and food from King Dumplings, and highly recommend this shop-- it's worth the visit.

Five HUGE shining stars for this amazing Chinese restaurant. We came on a whim for lunch while at an appointment in superior and I was honestly blown away. Everything was soooo tasty, and you can tell it's made in house, not frozen. The homemade noodles were tasty. Spicy wontons were great/ that sauce! Don't sleep on this star, Denver!

Food - 3 Service - 4 Value - 2 I ate here recently and it was a bit of a let down for me. I ordered the cucumber salad, fried dumplings and then a noodle dish. All 3 were just average to me and the price was a bit high given the quantity/quality. I think I was expecting something more authentic, but this was Americanized quite a bit.

Service was fast, food was practically still cooking in front of us. The vibes were awesome for such a small place! Would absolutely go again

If you're hunting for a little dumpling joy with a side of giggles, King Dumpling might just be your snackable soulmate. Here's my bite-sized verdict, with a dash of whimsy. The staff are very welcoming, and when you ask them for recommendations, they're very helpful. Pork Dumpling Flavor: Very flava Texture: Nice and satisfying Quick verdict: A solid, comforting dumpling that earns a nod from the flavor gods. Fry Squid Tentacles Breading: Nice and country (like a warm hug from a country kitchen) Squid: Delicious, slightly chewy in the best way Quick verdict: Chewy, crispy, and totally cheeky in the best possible way. Combination Dumpling Composition: Two chicken, two vegetable, two pork (six dumplings in total) Favorite: Vegetable dumpling steals the show Flavor punch: The vegetable are packed with flavor Least favorite: Chicken, a touch tame next to the others Quick verdict: A fun sampler that mostly sings, with one meh note. Truffle Dumpling Taste: Unique, an acquired taste in the best way Meat quality: Juicy and flavorful Quick verdict: A fancy, playful twist that markets itself as "try-me" on the menu. Egg Custard Buns Description: Little buns with big personality Filling: Egg custard dreams come true Verdict: So delicious you'll consider moving in with a custard bun shelf. I'd come back for these again and again and again. Overall vibe King Dumpling serves up a delightful mix of comfort food with a wink. If you like texture plays, bold flavors, and a touch of nostalgia (plus a dash of "aww, that's cute"), this place will put a smile on your face--and maybe even on your dumpling. Quick rating (optional) Flavor wow factor: 4.2/5 Texture and crunch: 4.0/5 Overall fun: 4.5/5 Would return for custard buns: absolutely yes

We went on a Sunday to enjoy dinner. It wasn't super busy but the service was great and the food too. The pork soup dumplings were probably my favorite item but we liked everything. They were also freshly making dumplings behind the counter and it was very cool to watch. They even brought my son his very own mini custard bun it was very nice of them!

cucumber salad and dan dan noodle soup

I'm kinda bummed about this review. The food was really bland overall. I got the cucumber salad which tasted so weird. I only took two bites before pushing it away. The dan dan noodle soup is so bland and missing the traditional dan dan noodle vibe. The pork soup dumplings with the sauce were really good though which is why I'm giving them 3 stars. Otherwise, probably a 1.5 star. The name is King Dumpling though so I should've just stuck to their namesake. I ended up eating leftover cold thai food for dinner over this. Pretty disappointing for $44.

We have wanted to visit this restaurant since reading about it on IG and then reading reviews here. We had the good fortune to be visiting a neighboring town and decided to stop by, even though we were anxious that the restaurant would only be open for less than an hour. Boy, are we happy we did! We were warmly greeted and immediately seated even though the place was busy with patrons inside and many to-go orders and only one employee up front. We were given menus and a pen to indicate what we wanted. Our order was taken quickly, and then the food arrived soon after. Homemade spring rolls with a delicious sauce. Cold noodles served in a slightly spicy base and topped with green onions, cilantro, and peanuts. Fried pork dumplings. And for dessert, they let us do one combined order of egg custard and chocolate cream dumplings. We didn't feel rushed at all, but were in and out and completely satisfied in forty minutes. We vowed to post our review as soon as we arrived home and promised ourselves to go out of our way to return. Scrumptious, delicious, flavorful, reasonably priced and a haven from less caring and cookie-cutter establishments. You won't be disappointed!

Will say can't say much about costumer service or the inside of the place. The inside of the place well has to be based on pics or visiting the actual restaurant. I did place an order through DoorDash so this is based solely on food. Shrimp and pork spicy wonton 8/10 will say the sauce was amazing just threw me off that they were green based in the pics that were shown on DoorDash. Didn't give them a 10 since I have had better but not too shabby tbh. Pork fried dumpling 7/10 will say with this one I didn't expect the corn inside. Nothing too special about it but not a huge fan of corn but not bad. Beef noodle soup 6/10 the beef and noodle were okay. Kinda wish the broth had more flavor tho. Pork steamed buns 7/10 were definitely steamed buns and were pretty savory as well Overall food was okay. Also don't know if my standards are too high as well but will say it was an okay place for me. Not too shabby but even looking at the prices on the menu and not DoorDash seemed a bit pricey for me. Idk if I'm being biased in the pricing since I do live in Cali and it seems to be cheaper over there lolz.

A new neighborhood joint. Love their pre-mix dumpling sauce (perfect mix of sweet, vinegar, salt). Their dumplings are made fresh in house. Noodles are also handmade and very chewy (in a good way). Beef noodle soup and Xiao Long Pao are our favorite. My kids love their stir fry noodles. Our favorite lunch spot for something quick, reasonable and healthy.

Service was quick to take the order, refill water and clear out empty plates/steamer baskest. The dishes coming out of the kitchen was at a more erratic pace, but it's all about the food. Mapo tofu was good, with a light slick of chili oil. The flavors were spot on with little chunks of fermented salted broad beans. The heat was also moderate, but it did have a kick as you were eating it. That signature mala numbing spiciness started building, but not hot enough for my palate. Green beans were also nice and tender. Sometimes when they come out the fryer, the skin can be a little leathery, but wasn't present here. BBQ Buns were very soft and tender, loaded with BBQ pork. The shao mai had a nice bouncy texture and cooked well. Shrimp Lo Mein had the flavors of the Chinese American classic, it looks like the noodles were hand made too. Only miss was the shrimp dumplings. They were too close to each other and they stuck together. The wrapper was also overcooked, but somehow the shrimp was not. Nearly impossible to pickup with chopsticks, because the wrapped just fell apart, even with a delicate touch. Worth a stop and probably tastiest Chinese food in the neighborhood. It was getting crowded and there was a wait by the time we left. However it was Denver restaurant week, so not sure how it usually is during the week.

Prices are a bit high, 4 fried dumplings, 3 small steamed dumplings, and a Vietnamese coffee (which was largely ice) plus tip cost just under $40. The smothered Colorado green chili dumplings were the star of the meal. They had good pork flavor and the pickled onion and jalapenos added the extra flavors. Service was a bit slow, it took about 25+ mins for my order on a weekday when very few people were counter ordering. The milk market has great vibes and it allowed for our party to get different meal styles. The atmosphere is pretty casual. I would save this for a fun group outing where meals are shared. Service is self service order at the counter and they text you when it's ready. There is very little human interaction.
