A friend introduced me to this place a few months ago and I loved it so much. I've brought several other friends and family members. Every single person says "wow this is sooooo good" for just about every dish. The food is so comforting and delicious it has become a favorite place. The service is great and very quick. The restaurant is a little small but we've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't try this restaurant soon. read more

I love me some dumplings and bao buns. This is the first time I have ever eaten HOMEMADE buns. The buns are so soft and the meat so juicy and full of flavor. King Dumpling will definitely go on my Favs! read more

They dont know what garlic is. The food was bland and overpriced. Place was cozy and service was ok. My dishes were dirty. We won't be back.

Found this place by accident and I'm so glad I did! Really good dumplings and noodles! The service was excellent and the prices were very affordable. read more

We are visiting from California and we chose to eat here. The food was nice once we finally got it. The service was lacking, a lot. We were there for a long 2 hours because they forgot to put are order in. There were two waiters literally running all over the restaurant. The environment looked calm but really wasn't it was crowded with tables right next to each other. We had to ask for water and the waiters never checked in on us. The food was great though the custard buns were the best. FYI one of the waiters wasn't the best smelling. read more

My friends and I were sat down and were instantly served. There weren't that much people, but we went on a Monday evening. The food came out quickly and tasted great. The dumplings are bigger than average which is most likely the niche they're going for. I also enjoyed the restaurants' choice of interior design. My only reason for making it a four star is because of the table condiments weren't what I prefer. I prefer chili oil, vinegar, and soy sauce, but they had different options. read more

Found this place on the way to CU Boulder (go Buffs!!). Food is pretty good especially the dumplings. The chicken chow mein actually tastes home cooked. The fried chicken was dry. But overall I like it - probably relatively hard to find an authentic Chinese dumpling around this area. Service was attentive and place is clean and modern looking. read more

Clearly hand-made food and a decently run family business which did a nice job remodeling an unusual space in a strip mall. But reviewing on just the food -- was it tasty, will I go back again? Nope. Bland flavors, some things a little undercooked, others nearly burnt, the meat was very scrappy, prices were a touch high, etc. read more

What's not to love about scratch made dumplings. This is an absolute treasure! Do yourself a favor and go here! Authentic and amazingly tasty. We had so many different kinds and they all were wonderful. read more

Jumbo, juicy, delicious dumplings and buns are sure to fix your dumpling craving! A nice variety of steamed and pan fried. Homemade noodles are also deliciously chewy. The crispy chicken had a tasty mala spice and came with spicy mayo. Everything came out hot and fast! The space is bright and the server friendly. You make selections on a dry erase picture menu. There's a lady making dumplings in real time; they're never frozen. The portions are generous and we way over ordered, but just had to try everything! Very excited to have them in the hood! read more

Really disappointing Togo experience. We had been several times dine in that have been good. Today the wonton soup was off and the wontons were extremely doughy. The beef noodles were also very doughy. Nothing was edible. Ended up tossing out 50 dollars of food. read more

I've had a great time catching up with my girl friend here, and it's turned into our go to spot - we come here at least once or twice a month. The soup dumplings are HUGE. Customer service is beyond excellent - it's a small dining space so can get loud during peak hours. When the weather is nice there is some outdoor dining available, as well. read more

Dumplings are freakin' outstanding! No words can describe how good the pork soup dumplings are. Don't be deceived by the strip mall location. Totally worth it! read more

Been wanting to try this spot. WOW. Food was amazing - everything we ordered, shrimp and veggie dumplings, pork bao buns, scallion pancake, noodle dishes, were exceptional. For the noodle dishes, you can select handmade noodles, and that is recommended. It is in a stripmall, and so kind of expected a stripmall vibe seating area. But, pleasantly surprised to find a very clean modern vibe, but without the annoying high decibel noise level of so many restaurants. I will be back, and bringing friends! read more

Food was good . server did a good job explaining food items . turnoff was the lady rolling & filling dumplings kept coughing into the lg container of ingredients . she should've had a mask on. read more

Absolutely delightful. We placed an order for pickup and were very pleased with the quality of the food. The woman who checked us out was super sweet and told us how the dumpling are made fresh daily! We ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings, fried pork dumplings, pork steamed buns, and cucumber salad. I'm used to sweet pork in steamed buns but there were more savory and aromatic, not my favorite but still tasty. My favorite item was the steamed shrimp while my boyfriend loved the fried pork. We're planning on getting a different mix next time we go because everything was very tasty we can't wait to try more! read more

They lost our order we waited over an hour for our food and they didn't offer to compensate us. They told us they'd "refund us and we can try them a different day." I replied we didn't even pay yet! And we are hungry we just want our food! So we waited another 30 minutes, definitely probably 90 min total. We were from out of town but I think they could have done a better job fixing their mistake. read more

I wanted to love this place. I am a Chinese immigrant and I always look for good Chinese dishes whenever I travel. The dumpling skins are too thick. We ate the meat and some of the skin, but where they close the dumplings, it is way too thick and dense. The scallion pancakes were the best tasting of everything we ordered. It didn't have all the layers that traditional scallion pancakes have, but the flavor was very good. The shrimp fried rice was very oily. And they added carrots. Which is a pet peeve of mine. You couldn't eat very much of it because it was so oily. The pan fried pork buns had too much bread to pork ratio. The bread was not fluffy but very dense. The meat was flavorful so we pretty much just ate the meat. The pan fried pork dumplings were the best dumplings we had. But the skin was a bit thick and dense as well. The fried squid tentacles were very good. Flavorful and not greasy. The right amount of breading. The shrimp dumplings with the spicy sauce was ok. Again, the skin was thick and dense. The flavor was good. The steamed shrimp dumplings were huge. But the filling was dry and the skin was very dense and thick. This one was the worse of all the dumplings. I really wanted to like the soup dumplings. The meat they used is the same that they put into the pan fried pork dumplings. They just added the soup jelly to it to create the soup. The skin was not as thick as the others, but the skin is dense and not smooth. It was thick at the top where they close it off. The soup jelly that you normally use is clear when you bite into a soup dumpling. It's suppose to be clear. This one is not which means that they don't take the time to make the broth properly. All in all, it was not a bad soup dumpling, just not very good. We had one jasmine tea, one ginger tea and a Thai tea. Nothing special. They must use tea bags since they don't use loose tea leaves to steep the teas freshly. So don't expect freshly steeped teas. The Thai iced tea was good. But you can't really mess up a dry tea mix. To sum it up, I won't be going back. The thickness and denseness of the dough on all of their dumplings are not anything that I can overlook. It's so unfortunate. I was really hoping for an authentic dumpling place. read more

This is a great addition to the mcCaslin area of Louisville. We had pork fried and pork steamed buns and Dan Dan soup. All of the food was fabulous read more

What a surprise! We live in a city with some truly delicious Chinese food, but we all agreed that if King Dumpling were near us, we would never stray. For lunch, we tried 3 kinds of steamed dumplings, scallion pancakes, cucumber salad, salted crispy chicken, Dan Dan noodle soup with handmade noodles -- all perfect. Amazing was their housemade sriracha/garlic chili sauce -- ridiculously good. The service was top notch and the owner came out to check on us (sat outside on a lovely day). One word: Go! read more

The food is outstanding, everything is handmade and everything extremely well made. Everyone is extremely friendly and kind and we were lucky to try some dessert dumplings. The restaurant is very clean and nice, this definitely worth a visit . read more

Went here when they opened, it was ok. My coworker wanted to try this place so I went again, huge mistake. The dan dan noodle had a very off putting smell of old pork, the shrimp fried dumplings I remembered being the best dish they had was bland and had a tiny single shrimp in it, the kind you'd use for bait when fishing. My buddy ordered the soup dumplings that had no soup in them. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she just laughed and said sometimes they're not careful when they put them in, so they lose the soup. Well now you lose some customers, and likely many more. $35 for a lunch that was one of the worst I've had in years. Save your money and go elsewhere.... read more

Great dumplings and amazing service. The women who makes the dumplings always sends extra time playing and giving dumpling dough to our kids. Can't recommend a better "gateway" restaurant for young or in experienced foodies- or anybody who likes food! read more

Service was great. Food was excellent. Gotta try the chocolate dumplings. Was a bit pricey but won't be disappointed.

Love this restaurant! Authentic food, wonderful and friendly owners. Somewhat limited menu but everything that I've tried on it is great!

Wow! Our family of 4 tried King Dumpling for the first time last weekend for a late lunch, and we LOVED everything we ordered! The food was delicious, the table sauce provided was so good we wished we could buy some, and we also got mango boba tea, which was the best we've ever had. We will absolutely be back - what a hidden gem! read more

Had lunch here with a friend who is also a dumpling aficionado. Their dumplings are larger than other places, for those who are griping about price/cost. The dumplings are made from scratch (you can see the auntie making them behind the counter!) and the wrappers are just the right thickness (not too thick). The filling is tender and juicy. We had the soup dumplings, fried buns, scallion pancakes (more of a crispy vs flaky texture, but I enjoyed it) and the beef noodle soup. We asked for chili oil and that was the perfect accompaniment. Just a heads-up, their cucumber salad is the sweet kind, not the chili/sesame oil, garlicky kind. Eager to try their other dishes next time! read more
