This place didn't even have a listing on yelp but that he fact that they were open when we wanted donuts at 3am I thought I'd help em out by adding them to the yelp world lol Wifey had a random craving for donuts and milk after we came home from a long day. Based of my Google map & yelp search there are no other late night/early morning donut spots open in Murrieta. I would say that's disappointing but nothing is open really late must Mexican food (ones about 3 doors down) in this nice quiet town lol. Anyway we arrived at about 3:30am and to our surprise almost their full selection of donuts were freshly made and out for pickings. A guys before us was leaving with about 5 dozen donuts and seemed pretty pleased as the service was pleasant. My wife got a nice warm cream cheese croissant & milk and I got a fresh glazed crumb donut and milk. Both were a craving served right! Both were fresh and baked perfectly. We both were happy campers. :) Btw Idk if its just me but their donuts looked HUGE haha. Possibly because they were just baked but either way they looked awesome. Another donut mission: stopped by to try their cream filled and then some. Ok the cream filled passed the taste test. Pro: Very airy and fluffy on the inside, flaky on the outside. Filling was good. Con: Could have used more filling. Also donut was small. One bite and my donut was gone! :( Cinnamon twist was big and delicious! Very soft and not too sweet. Just right! Coffee was good. Pairs well with a donut...or two. ;) Friendly service and clean shop! Just a note: they are open until 6 pm but looked closed. You might want to call before you go in after 2 pm. We stopped on a Sunday morning as we were heading home to Northern CA mostly because it was next door to a Starbucks. I had an Apple fritter and my wife has a chocolate covered buttermilk bar. I am a fritter fanatic and this one was as near perfect as I ever had. It was the perfect crispness on the outside and moist and fruity on the inside. The dough was perfectly done in every way. My wife said the buttermilk bar was also moist and not dry like some we have had at other shops. This shows me that Donut King knows what they are doing and will be a must stop next time we are in the area. read more

I've been going to Starbucks or 7/11 because of their rewards program rather than coming to this place. I mean why would anyone pick this small restaurant rather than going to a big chain? Let me tell you, for starters their coffee is amazing. I don't get the acidic taste of Starbucks in my mouth, or the ball of fire in my stomach from7/11s coffee. Yes, it's highly recommended that you use cash to pay, because of their 50 cent surcharge for under 10$ purchase. The food never disappoints. The menu, includes donuts, and different types of breads like bagels, croissants , and regular toast. They are prepared with egg, cheese, and meat per request. Their generous portions, compared to Starbucks, keep me full until 3p. No, this place doesn't have a rewards program, but I much rather go for great tasting, cheap food, that's gonna keep me full through the day than going to Starbucks, and wait 15 minutes for a tiny meal. Ask them to warm it and for less than a couple dollars you have a delicious donut. I ordered a glazed donut and a maple bar. This donut shop is terrible . Not only is it a pain to try and get into the parking lot, once we finally arrived they literally had 12 donuts available and said this was all they had. Since I'm an early riser (3am), finding ANY place open is almost impossible. Enter King Donuts. Stopped here this morning and OMG am I glad we did! Fresh, warm, gooey icing, with tons of flavor. Decided on this donut shop after our usual one down the road was unexpectedly closed. The shop was busy, the ladies working there were friendly and the donuts were fresh and reasonably priced. We noticed the section of the display case with the jalapeño cheese croissants was wiped out so my husband took that as a good sign and decided to try one. My new favorite place for boba smoothies. I used to love going to Neo's down the street but when they closed down I was on the hunt for a new place that served awesome boba. This place is even better than Neo's. I'm disappointed that I didn't try it sooner! The taro boba smoothie has great flavor and the boba is so fresh. I walked in and was barely acknowledged by the older gal at the counter. When I gave her my simple order of a donut and some donut holes, she mumbled back the order to me, and I couldn't understand so I asked her to repeat herself. I was traveling a great distance and stuck in traffic. A hankering for ice cream overwhelmed me and I had to find it as quickly as possible. Went to get donuts here during the posted open hours but was very disappointed upon my arrival to see that they were dark and closed. I checked the sign in the window that lists their hours to see if yelp was wrong, but it confirmed they should in fact be open. Being so close to a freeway ramp I and neighbourhood I can only imagine many disappointed donut seekers have ventured here and left emptied handed due to inaccurate hours. Came here once at 4am for the boba. Good price for a large iced coffee boba less than $4. I actually didn't like the sour coffee taste. But there was so much boba, I was able to fill the cup with more coffee at home and drink. I'd go easy on the ice next time. 2nd time, I had to come here because all the other donut places that open at 4am didn't have any Apple Fritter donuts ready at 5:30am. I came here on a whim just because I got off early from my graveyard shift. I am so glad I did! It was about 3:30am and to my surprise they were open. I only do the raised and glazed so that is what I ordered. 90¢ donut, fair price. Headed back to my car and scarfed that donut down instantly. It was still warm and was conforming to my hand as I was holding it. I felt guilty to immediately buy another because I knew I was going right to sleep when I got home.
