What a wonderful spot to have coffee in a very spiritual atmosphere! No cussing, no hip hop, no rock, just a blessed establishment! The service was pleasant and very welcoming. My day is filled with content creating, recording, and editing, and it's a challenge to break that routine! But wifey took the day off and wanted to try something new. Yes, it was a push for me to step outside of my routine but it was a chance to spend a little time with the wife. Normally she's working long hours as well and that makes it easy to get my studio time done. But to be honest it was odd not being in my regular routine. It was quite the change, and it was nice. My husband and I frequent Chapel Coffee often since we live nearby and usually stop in during our daily walks. There's definitely a lot to love about this coffee shop. The location in downtown Murrieta is great, the inside is beautiful, and the menu offers a really good variety of coffees, specialty beverages, and food options. I also love that they have a spacious outdoor seating area and games for kids, which is a huge plus for families like ours with two young children. That said, there are a few reasons I can't give it 5 stars. First, the music inside is consistently WAY too loud. It's honestly difficult to have a conversation without practically yelling across the table to hear each other. Because of that, we almost always choose to sit outside when the weather allows. Second, while the outdoor area is a great concept with plenty of seating and kid-friendly games, I really wish the ground wasn't entirely gravel, rocks, and dirt. It makes it uncomfortable for kids to play in, and they end up covered in dust and little rocks in their clothes and shoes every single time. Then it all gets tracked into the car afterward. I think the space would be so much more enjoyable if it were paved or had grass or artificial turf instead. It would make a huge difference not only for children, but also for dogs. We bring ours along often, and the gravel is uncomfortable for their paws and for laying down, so they usually try to squeeze onto our laps instead. Lastly, the rewards program could really use improvement. We come here often, usually ordering at least two drinks plus food, and after many, many visits we still aren't even close to the 100 points needed for just $5 off. It feels like you have to spend a significant amount of money before seeing any real reward, which makes the program feel a little discouraging. Overall, this is still a nice local coffee shop with a lot of potential and many things we genuinely enjoy, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved to make the experience even better. read more

The salted Carmel cold brew was tasty not overly sweet either. Lots of searing inside and out on 3 sides of the building, covered areas and umbrellas also. Some games for the kids to play. THIS PLACE IS WORTH A DRIVE! The shop is amazing and so relaxing. There is some beautiful and unique merchandise with games for all to play, right when you walk in. Stopped by on a Friday morning to try their coffees. People were arriving in groups and families with their kids and pets getting comfortable on the front yard where there were yard games and chairs to accommodate outdoor dining. I ordered two pup cups, a strawberry latte, a dirty chai and turkey croissant sandwich. It was a bit of a wait because of the crowd abs orders ahead of me. The place seemed popular amongst the Old Town Murrieta location! My pups give 10 stars for their pup cups, by the way and their only complaint was that it wasn't enough! Haha! Parking on the street side was convenient, the walk isn't bad at all as the businesses surrounding old Town Murrieta were filled with small shops and restaurants. Great Place to go!!! I finally got to stop by after years. Everyone there is very nice and really seem to care about their customers. I like all the merchandise they have. There is a lot of things to look at there. The decor and set up for the shop is good. Even though the merchandise takes up a lot of space there is still a lot of seating whether you want to sit inside or outside. The matcha was good but I think they don't have 2%? Was able to snag a nice little corner table with an outlet, but there was plenty of space and solid outlet options. It can get super busy, but noise wasn't anything crazy if you have good headphones. Chapel Coffee proved to be a very pleasant introduction to downtown "old" Murrieta. I had never been in the area before, but after a so-so meal, my friend and I wandered over to the spot. It sits along the main street with pleasant, if Spartan outdoor seating. As it was the middle of winter, the weather was perfect. And what we found once we entered was a quiet, pleasant proselytizing cafe. It turns out that there is a chapel next door run by the owners, and the employees and swag are festooned with "Jesus loves you" messages. Bible study and other religious activities are offered. Admittedly, this is not quite my vibe, but service was both friendly and efficient. Better still, the coffee itself was quite good. My cortado was very well-crafted and the coffee itself has clearly been carefully sourced. My only small complaint was that they overheated the milk, which can deaden the flavor of the coffee itself. Note to the baristas: keep the milk in the 140-155 degree Fahrenheit range. But that one hiccough not withstanding, a really nice spot to sit and drink a well-crafted espresso. read more

I visited Chapel Coffee and ordered a plain latte with heavy cream. When I received my drink, it was a vanilla latte with heavy cream instead. I brought it back, and the staff were friendly and happy to remake it. Since flavored lattes cost more than plain lattes, I asked the cashier if there would be a refund for the price difference. She seemed unsure whether I still wanted the drink but never offered a refund until I asked. While the amount wasn't a big deal, I think it's good customer service to proactively acknowledge the pricing difference and offer a refund or adjustment. Unfortunately, when they remade my drink, it was made with regular milk instead of heavy cream, even though I had clearly requested heavy cream. Having my order made incorrectly twice was disappointing and made it seem like the details weren't being carefully checked. My recommendation is to double-check your drink before leaving, especially if you're ordering it to go. The staff were kind and willing to fix the mistakes, but paying closer attention to customers' orders would make for a much better experience. read more

I've been hearing about this coffee shop and finally got the chance to stop by with my brothers from our church, Temecula Hills Christian Fellowship! This place is awesome. Really great place to meet up for coffee, fellowship, do your own personal study in God's Word, meet up for work and so much more. Ample parking both around the shop and along Washington St. They have outdoor seating which I can just imagine will be packed during summer when it's not too cold outside. The servers/barista were very friendly and the coffee was great. They also have a novelty store inside where you can purchase a shirt, baseball caps, coffee mugs, journals, stickers and much more. Great little coffee shop in the cutest little city! This was our first time at CCC. The outside area is spacious & lots of tables to sit and sip your coffee. Walked right up and chose my items and ordered. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Our cappuccino & iced latte came out quickly. Both drinks were very tasty and of good quality. I'd much rather give small businesses my money rather than SB. While waiting we looked around inside the shop. Lots of cute faith based items for sale. There are a few areas to sit and relax if you'd like. We took our drinks to go. They did have a few items to eat such as a chocolate crossaints, cake pops, muffins, juices etc. We sat outside for a bit, then decided to take a stroll through the middle of the little town area to explore the other shops, & businesses.
