Are you the kind of person that, when at a buffet, worries that the waitress is subtly telling you that you're eating too much when she brings you the check right before you're about to get up for your 4th plate? You don't have to worry about that here, because you pay when you enter. This is one of the changes to this place after they recently came under new ownership, and I think the changes have all been for the better. Aside from not having to wait for your check, you also don't have to wait for your drink to be refilled--the drinks are self-serve. More importantly, they now offer seafood every evening, instead of only on weekends. The previous owners used to advertise having oysters on the half-shell, even though they didn't. I was very happy when I saw the huge pile of oysters when I came this time. The some of the other seafood they had, that I remember, included: - peel and eat shrimp (5/5, larger than you usually get at a buffet) - salt and pepper shrimp (4/5, fried, not that peppery actually, still pretty good) - steamed clams (5/5, really good) - Cajun seafood (5/5, included blue crab, crawfish, mussels, potatoes and corn, with very nice Cajun seasoning) - calamari (4/5, labeled as fried octopus strips, breading not too heavy, a little crunchy) - sushi and sashimi (3/5, typical buffet offerings, they had tuna, salmon, tilapia, and faux crab) - breaded and deep fried oysters, shrimp, and fish (didn't try) - salmon (didn't try) - snow crab is available on weekends only, and costs extra ($9.99/lb, didn't try) I didn't try the hibachi, but it looked the same as it was before the ownership change. You can smell grilled steak within a 15 foot radius of the hibachi grill. Most of the other food was the typical deep fried foods, the obligatory pizza, and stir-frys drenched in soy sauce. The cheesy broccoli was really tasty, I took some on 3 out of the 5 plates I ate. I'm rating this place 5 stars, not because everything I tried was good (the mac and cheese was gross), but because this buffet is significantly better than average relative to other Asian buffets in Cincinnati. It's clean, and they have a great seafood selection. read more

See all

Everything was cold very disappointed not very much too chew's from the Chinese buffet in Dayton Ohio on woodman drive is the best buffet around. I give the Chinese king a f+. read more

Simply AWEFUL. To begin with only about 1/3 of the dishes are Chinese....everything else is "Americanized " with cheese on far too many dishes! Imitation crab everywhere. Dreadful dishes like "creamy spaghetti ". Worst noodles I have ever had. I don't know how this place stays in business. To top off the worst buffet I ever had when I got Home I had horrible cramps and stayed up half the night. read more

Went here on Sunday with friends and got food poisoning later that evening. The California Roll had avacados that were brown and spotty. The womens bathroom was also disgusting. read more

Food was good, everything was fresh and hot when I went. Love the crab ragoon and hibachi. Only thing is the egg rolls are not chicken or just veggie. read more

Every time I go here the price increases. The food is not good enough to justify almost $20 per person. I'm guessing that's why there were only 3 cars in the parking lot on a Friday evening. It looks like they are pricing themselves out of business. read more

Hubby and I love this place! They have recently undergone a facelift and renovated. New owners also, I believe. But, alot of the same servers, which is awesome coz the one waitress always recognizes and goes out of her way to say hello. Keep the little card they give you, it earns free buffets rather quickly, cuz they mark it for each person in your party! So you go with a dozen ppl and your buying, get a dozen stamps!! Freebie earned. Anywho, they have crawfish on buffet that is major for us, we love them! And other . The hibachi is good and made to order, check out the steaks for dinner service!! Yum. They are little, but very good quality, and tender!!! Check em out, love this place! read more

Absolutely our very favorite hibachi/buffet. Be sure to get the punch card, it adds up fast to a free buffet. Everything is always fresh and delicious. They are the only buffet I've found with crawfish on the buffet and man are they good! The sushi is always fresh, the steak on hibachi at dinner is so good, thin but actually perfect size and grilled to perfection. They are one of the best buffet in the city! read more

absolutely terrible service and terrible food. waited just about 2 hours just to get my food and it tasted like caca. worst food i've ever eaten in my life and had to wait to write this review because i was shi***g my brains out all night/ puking i'm pretty sure i have food poisoning. just do yourself a favor and don't go here!!!! over priced for what you get too. read more

New managment did a wonderful job with the layout and how you pay first and grab your drinks. The food is also delicious and being a buffet usually not all things are fresh but everything I tasted was warm and just cooked perfectly. I would definitely give this place another try if you went before they changed it. It's 10x better then the last. Reason it's missing a star is due to one of the machines I went too didn't have all drink options or were out. I just got tea instead of soda. Fix that and it's a 5! read more

My wife and I LOVE this restaurant. It has become a normal date night! Love the upgrades

Filthy restaurant, horrible food, literally scraps. But they'll charge u an arm and a leg for the buffet that's literally almost empty. Melted ice cream for desert! Piss poor customer service. Soon as u realize there is no food at the buffet but already paid and complain.. Then they cuss u out and refuse to give your money back after robbing you!!!!! read more

As far as buffets go, this place is great. Huge selection, though I mostly recommend the hibachi grill and sushi bar. On the buffet, Chinese buffet options are pretty good and the cherry/mint flavored mousses are terrific. Our kids were sad they removed the koi pond, but we were glad they kept the lights and chandeliers. Really an excellent buffet for the price and a consistent kid pleaser. read more

Nice place to eat in. Small variation of desserts but very delicious meat and shrimps in coconut sous

Went for dinner and got charged full price but half of the offerings were empty and never filled. Complete rip-off for $16.

I loved the Hibachi Grill before it started going down hill. Thought I'd give Kings Buffet a try. We tried three different Sunday's and their food was luke warm at best. They have fewer options and the food just tastes like it sat there for a while. If the food was actually hot it may be better but I don't know if we'll come back again. They also don't clean or devein their shrimp. My husband had a cooked shrimp and had to spit it out because it was mushy and tasted off. He doesn't spit out shrimp. read more

Liked the menu of the Old Place better, They removed a lot of favorites like the Frog Legs and the Crab Legs on the Table, not impressed, Every Asian Buffet offers Bland Flavored crab legs except the King Buffet. They want to charge you an exorbitant amount on top of their high prices already if you want crab legs. not going back. read more

I don't normally bash on restaurants but if I could give this place 0 stars I would! The food was horrible.. it tasted as if it had been sitting for hours. In fact the same slice of pizza that had been on the tray since I had arrived was still there 45 minutes after I had finished... nothing that I consumed was the least bit of fresh and most definitely not hot.... disgusting doesn't serve justice for the description of this place. I actually would go as far as to say it's probably the worst food I've ever eaten, considering I made my self sick AS SOON as I got home. If you're thinking about going here, I highly suggest going else where. I would eat at McDonald's before I would ever THINK about eating here EVER again. read more

The first thing I had was crap when I bit into it it tasted bland and the crap leg had no meat in it I had to dig my finger in there to find it. And the snow crab was very very chewy and as well as the shrimp. And when I was getting a plate the food had clumps of food on it and that happened to 3 of the plates I looked at and it was overall nasty the ice cream had no flavor and the cheese cake was a bit weird and the chocolate fountain did not have much chocolate dripping but the chocolate hardened fastly I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing none of the fish was fresh and there was hair everwere. The bathroom was the worst part I walked in and walked straight out there was a poop smell in the bathroom and it was dirty the trash can in the stall was overflowing into the tolet. But if you want to try this place out go for it but I don't recemend read more
