02/15/2025 - After reading so many positive comments & good raves I decided to give this place a try; BIG Mistake, My wife and I decided to check-out the buffet for dinner. I will have to say if you like Chicken this place is for You...I prefer beef or pork myself; The Bee's Buffet has No beef or pork products on the buffet; Why???....Dinner buffet extremely high priced but you do get free soda included. We usual go to Asian Buffet also in Fairfield because they offer Fresh chilled Sushi and Mongolian BBQ and they offer coupons to offset their prices. Also we sometimes go to China Garden in forest park. In our opinion, this place Bee's is a little pricey for what you get and you should try the others and compare yourself. read more

Your typical Chinese buffet ! They've got a lot of selections of every kind of food including non Chinese foods as well for those who may be picky. We went later in the day so it was a sorta empty minus a few people. The restrooms were a bit dingy unfortunately. Overall not a bad experience whatsoever and my favorite part was the fact that soda was included ! They had a pop machine you could go and fill up your own soda and switch out whatever kind you like each time. As someone who loves drinking a lot and is always thirsty the ability to fill and change up my drink at any point independently was fantastic. I cannot believe more places don't have have something set up like that. I would definitely come here again ! read more

We visited this Chinese Buffet during 2023 Christmas time (Dec 23, 23). I had been this area for my Ph.D 26 years ago. And this is the first time I revisited this place ever since then, with my family. We could not find some old Chinese restaurants - and this buffet was near Jungle Jims - a International food store. After a revisit of jungle jim, we found this buffer on web - which did not disappoint us. Like some other reviewers noted, the price for the buffet includes tax and service - is 15 dollars each, which is very straightforward. You do not need to calculate your bill at the end of the service. The food was delicious. We have been at many Chinese restaurants, we would rate this one as one of the best. The management team is very friendly. They overheard that we were looking for chopsticks, then brought us what we need. The seafood (we like seafood) we took were in super good quality - fish, shrimp, tastes all above buffet grade. We will definitely revisit this little buffet when we come back. read more

I'll pretext this with saying their pepper chicken (yes from the buffet) is the best I've had from my limited scope into Chinese food that doesnt include duck or pork. So, why do they have 3* on average and I gave them 4*? 1. Pay when you enter so you dont worry about feeling like a fat scum when they pick up your 5 plates. 2. Best pepper chicken 3. Soft served icecream!!!! Life hack: get the cobbler and put it in a soup bowl then hobble to the icecream maker and hit swirl... you're welcome. Downfall: their aquarium last time I was there had a fish snipping at the tilapia and tbh, knowing they'd be in a dish in a day or two, I felt bad. Also, rest of the food is just okay. Pros: they require masks to get food, have barriers, and have free gloves to use while picking your food. read more

My visit to Bee's was very pleasant and predictable. As others have mentioned, they make you pay as you enter. Self seating and self service. Plain and simple. They staff comes by to clear and clean the table regularly. They don't have a very extensive buffet offering, but the food was hot and pans were mostly full. While they have a nice salad table, they didn't have any peel your own shrimp for lunch. They did have a nice seafood medley containing medium size shrimp as well as vegetables. There were eggrolls on the buffet with I was there and they were pretty good. The Lo Mein and Vegetable Rice Noodles were also very good. Soft drinks and hot drinks seem to be the only beverage offering. They do take most credit cards as well. read more

I decided to stop at bees buffet to see what this place had to offer. It was nearing the end of the night and naturally their selections weren't fresh and they were finished cooking for the night at around 8:00 pm. The woman at the register gave me a few minutes to look around before deciding if I wanted to spend $12 on their dinner buffet. I opted for buffet to go and the food actually fine. Some of the items on their buffet menu were too salty, or too bland or just right. They have a variety of options. Each buffet item has a different taste. It cost $7 total but they weight it and if their is seafood selection they charge extra. Bees buffet also has a selection of foods that can be made to go it's not included on the buffet. I ordered the general tso chicken with fried rice. I thought it was tasty and ok for the price recommend it. I think for price and value it definitely is ok. read more

Not the best or worst Chinese buffet I've been to. Reasonably priced. Decent selection of items..tho I was surprised that there weren't any Egg Rolls or Spring Rolls on the buffet. The food itself is pretty good overall. The chicken is very crisp and flavorful. The wings are pretty solid. The sweet and sour sauce is pretty spot on compared to similar places. The staff here is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. I would say if you're into this type of food/buffet style environment..you'd be pretty safe in checking this place out. read more

This has been my most satisfying place for Chinese food my dining mate likes Asian Buffet but Bees is best.

It's a great Chinese buffet in Fairfield if you like chicken, there is no beef menu items there on the buffet ever....overall a family operated, family owned and where all the locals dine for lunch or Sunday dinner. Also, the buffet includes the drink for each person whether you go there for lunch or dinner and they require you to wear PPE to eat at there restaurant in Fairfield. So, I rated it two stars because they could add more beef items like sweet and sour pork and beef and broccoli on there buffet. read more

I've loved Bee's Buffet, every since they opened.. They have such a wide selection of Asian food too choose from. I used to order the buffet. Now I order from the menu, because of sodium restricted diet. You can tell them no MSG or added Salt. They will make your order fresh & you can carry out or dine in. Their dining area is really nice & they'll come around to pickup your empty dishes & even refill your drink. I've never had a problem with their restrooms, they do a great job keeping everything clean. The food is great, whether you carryout or dine in. I hope you find this review helpful. read more

Don't make the same mistake we did. If you like chinese buffets in general, don't go here. Everything (atleast 95%) on the buffet is fried. The soup is just hot liquid. There is no flavor at all. And if for some reason you thought you could just eat a salad think again. The only options are lettuce, olives, salsa & pickles. The price (10$ a person) would be worth it if the food was even partially good. I would have to be starving and not able to find bugs to eat first before I ever come back here. read more

Bees is always good. They keep items fresh and always have a good amount of vegetables and seafood option. I like the fresh salad options and they always have good pico (weird I know, but it goes well on the baked fish). They have a smaller amount of items, but they are always fresh. It's self-serve, so you don't have a waiter. A good spot for traditional American Chinese food. read more

I would not recommend this location. First you have to pay before you eat. In addition to that you seat yourself as well as grab your drinks and there were no wait staff. Fortune cookies were on the bar yet another bad sign. As far as the food was concerned it was American Chinese food which was sub par at best. Me and 3 of my best friends had walked for 2 hours at Jungle Jims and were hungry and that is how we found this hole of a restraunt. We left dissatisfied and will never enter this establishment. Ive been going to bee's buffet since it opened.. Used to go to the buffet about once a week, now that i live further away I get their takeout.. It is the only chinese restaurant I order takeout from.. They have a wide variety to choose from and reasonably priced compared to most chinese restaraunts.. SesAme chicken combo is my favorite, with bourbon chicken an garlic pork a close second.. If you have never been, I would strongly suggest trying their takeout at the very least.. This place is OK, but the food seems very stock and is not anything special. The food is definitely not authentic and almost everything is fried. The crab rangoon lacks substance and each of the chicken options are a bit mushy in texture. The best part about coming to this place is the soft serve ice cream machine. It isn't anything special, but it has a milky-ish flavor, which I love in my machine-served soft serve. If you want a stock Chinese buffet without anything special, this is a place for you. read more

We have been here a couple of times. The staff is nice, the place is clean,and my four year old daughter loves to look at the fish in the fish tanks that they have. They also have some turtles in a tank if you walk in go to the left and turn right. They are to the side of the hostess area. The food is your typical Chinese buffet style. I do know the food has been the best on Friday and Saturday evenings. Nice and fresh. This place has been here for many years. It's been there at least 20 years. It close to my house so I will be back here due to it being convenient for me. I would not go out of my way to come here. Not horrible, but not great. Food was greasy and many dishes were on the bland side. My family and I enjoy Asian food buffets for the variety, but this had an average selection with below average flavor. There was some "sushi" with artificial crab available and the strength of the wasabi was close to the low end of normal, but if you want sushi, I am sure there are a lot of better places out there. Arrive about 1230, not crowded. This a real hands off place. Only talk to someone when they take your money. Selection is small and the price is high compared to other chinese buffets i've been.
