We were in the area and decided to try this place out. I haven't been to a Chinese buffet in a long time. We went during lunch and they were busy but seated promptly. This is one of the bigger one I've see and was clean. I took samples from a lot of different items and tried different soups. They were all good and no complaints. I my opinion, you need to go to a busy buffet so that all the food is replaced and not sitting there. They have your basic sushi that you would find in a buffet, different types of soups, a lot of regular food that people who didn't want to eat Chinese food, a Mongolian grill which has a lot of items. They had a big dessert section. I couldn't tell you all the items I got but it was good and I would go back if I was in a mood for fast cheap food. Oh yea, it was a reasonable price compared to restaurants that I have eaten at lately. I gave it a 4 star because I can't give a buffet 5 stars since the food good but not exceptional. read more

Used to come in a couple times weekly, until the service got to be nonexistent last year. We still came by once a week until the food started tasting cold and like left overs. We stopped by 2 weeks ago and the prices were over $20 a person! We laughed and left. We came on a weekday and it's still over $17 a person, before drinks?? Our Y group had our Tuesday luncheon at Asian Buffet Grill in Fairfield/Forest Park. As always our group enjoyed the food, both in quality and variety. Our server was polite and efficient, even offering to take the group photo. I think the only complaints I heard was of being too full. First of all, this was the most disgusting place I've ever stepped foot in. You walk in to a sticky floor and smells like old stale rank. The food was absolutely atrocious, and I think that's an understatement . I tried the crayfish, I love crayfish.. the meat inside was BLACK. So I tried some peppered chicken, barely cooked, slimy and just foul. The sushi was most definitely a couple days old if not longer. We each made one plate, and took a handful of bites before shivering our way out. On top of that, our waitress still charged us 36$ after watching all of that unfold. We usually go during lunch (we average once a week) and love the food! We have never had a dish that was cold or unappetizing. The food is always warm, cooked to perfection, always replenished, a great variety from soups to dessert. Service is great from seating to final check, drinks are quickly replenished, and used dishes removed in a timely manner. If you haven't been to the Buffet, you definitely need to try it. The food was average. We have our monthly luncheon in their party room. The service was bad. I sat for a long time without silverware nor drinks. I finally went out to the buffet counter to ask for silverware. The waitress disappeared for a long time. Another friend went to get the same waitress and finally we got the drinks and silverware. After the meal I paid with the exact change of $17. My bill was $16 ( considering the bad service and we had separate checks). The same waitress insisted that I paid her an additional 10% tip because of the large party ( which she hardly served). So I gave her $20. She gave me the change and again insisted on the 10% tips almost in a threatening tone. Being a senior citizen, I felt threatened and gave her the 10% tips. Wow, so surprised that this buffet was so fresh and tasty!!! I took my granddaughter and my husband to Fairfield for this location for lunch. Not nearly as crowded as Twin Dragon to Tylersville, but every bit as good and plenty of choices. I had the hibachi and I kept it healthy (reducing the fried stuff!). I had steak and chicken with loads of veggies. I really enjoyed this buffet. Try this place. Excellent Asian buffet. This is under new ownership and vastly better than the so-so one years ago. Came on a Wednesday's around 6pm. We enjoyed the hibachi immensely (only tried raw shrimp and loads of veggies). The house sauce and brown sauce were good. The hibachi, dim sum steam buns, satay, and miso soup were favorites. Enjoyed the California roll, simple. My toddler ate two egg rolls and a whole satay, which was crazy, so yay! We'll be back, enjoyed the higher quality ingredients. The food tastes alright. No better or worse than the competition. There is more to choose from than most. I usually have the same problem no matter where I eat Chinese and that is the diarrhea that always follows and this time it lasted 3 days. The problem stems from a Chinese cultural habit of not washing hands that often. They bathe regular but tend to not wash hands when needed any other time. Touching various kinds of raw meat spreads germs quickly. That is not my complaint today although what I just mentioned did happen to me. On this occasion I only had water to drink and drank a sip of it so I thought I did not have to leave a tip. The waitress first tried to charge me for dinner prices and did not want my coupon although I arrived during lunch and only ate the old lunch food that had been out for hours. I explained my coupon was good because I had arrived before dinner and she saw I was right when she checked the time I came in so she adjusted the bill. Now the weird thing happened next. After I paid she came back and picked up the receipt I had filled out and saw there was no tip and gave a short shake of her head. She then cleaned off the table completely while I was talking with my family and the last thing she did was to grab the 2 fortune cookies from the table since I had left no tip. I thought that was rude. As for new management - I doubt it. The same people have been there for years. Perhaps one brother sold to another brother of his because the wait staff and cooks and front line management are the same. Best Chinese buffet. We've been going here for years then they shut down due to covid. We were SO UPSET because it was the only buffet that was good and had things I could eat, my spouse could eat, and my kids would eat. It's hard to find somewhere that taste good and has things for all of us. When they Re-opened we were so excited and happy! We love that they have sushi, and also shellfish free sushi. Food here is hit or miss but mostly a miss. Large selection but not always fresh or hot. They really struggle to keep food hot on their steam tables. Also cleanliness of restaurant is not the best. The front door to enter the building is in terrible condition and needs a good cleaning. Restrooms were ok but again could probably use a good top to bottom cleaning. Pretty much none of the employees speak English or little English so communication is a challenge at times. Servers not the friendliest I've ever encountered. I wish there was a rating lower than 1 star. This place was beyond gross, it might be dangerous. Some of the food reeked like cleaning chemicals had been spilled into it. To be specific it smelled like Pine-Sol. There was a weird metalic chemical taste in some of the food. I am really hoping I do not get sick. I had the waitress smell the food and she apologized and offered to get me more. No thank-you. Much of the food on the bar was overcooked or undercooked. All the flavors seemed to be off. As if the cook had no idea how to prepare chinese food. the sushi had no sushi vinegar. The ginger was spoiled and awful. Much of the food either had no flavor at all - as in unseasoned.
