Asian buffets generally don't last long in Colorado. I live in Boulder, but I went out of my way to try this one in Arvada. Glad I did, because for the most part it did not disappoint. We got there on a Monday around 3:00 and paid the lunch price. The adults were $14.99, and kids were $11.99. They don't charge kids by age, so I'd say that the price is a bit high for a 6 year old. The selection was decent. They were quick to replenish food trays before they ran out. You could tell most of the hot foods did not sit there all day. We got to try the salt and pepper crabs and prawns when they came out for dinner. A little salty for my taste, but that is pretty much to be expected. No worries, because I just peeled off the outside and ate the inside. My husband was really glad that they had unagi in the sushi section. Service was just fine. I wouldn't say they were quick to replenish our cups of water or grab our used plates, but all in a decently timely manner. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but if in the area, I definitely wouldn't mind stopping in. read more

It's safe to say that King Buffet is the best buffet I've ever been to in Colorado! This place is the bees knees. As soon as you step foot in here you know you're in for a treat. The restaurant is immaculately clean which is a sign that the management here really take pride in their business. I came here for lunch with one of my friends and we had a blast. The selection of food here blew my mind, there was hibachi, sushi, Chinese, salad, fruit, snacks, deserts and more! For a buffet the food was actually really high quality and tasted great!! On the first two rounds I indulged in mounds of sushi and it was all so good. The rice was fresh, and the rolls were really creamy. They even have a chocolate fondue fountain, how cool!! I highly recommend coming here if you're remotely hungry and want to eat lots of good food. read more

Wow!! We are here at 3:30 on a Saturday and the place is packed.., we popped in after a day of shopping... there is SO much to choose from it's crazy... I wanted to have high hopes for this restaurant, but it missed the bar by a LONG SHOT!!! After being taken to our seats, our waiter disappeared. This is typically fine, seeing as it's a buffet restaurant, but we only had water and would have appreciated a different drink. The food was your typical buffet food, nothing spectacular at all. I specifically came in this restaurant hoping to enjoy the crawfish and clams, but they were both AWFUL. The crawfish had the strongest fishy smell and the clams were extremely dry. Also, every crawfish tail I opened was grey and mushy. I cannot believe this restaurant is serving spoiled seafood. Overall, my family and I will not be eating here again. I am sorry. read more

It has been a while since I have seen a buffet like this! We wanted to hit up a buffet so it had a little of everything to accommodate everyone in our group. We came across King Buffet and I have no idea how we haven't heard of this place before! As soon as we pulled up, I appreciated the fact that there was ample parking. We walked in and we were greeted and sat right away. The place is surprisingly really big. I liked how they had everyone fairly spaced apart. The dining areas are a bit dingy-looking, which is why I just could not give them 5 stars. In my opinion, they would be much better off just ripping out that ratty carpet. Our server came up and got our drink order right away and we headed to the buffet. All of the plates that I grabbed were clean, which is a huge plus in my eating-out book. The buffet choices were endless and plentiful. They had every Asian dish imaginable. The first 3 long lines of the buffet were all kinds of chicken, beef, and pork dishes. They had everything from jalapeno chicken to beef and broccoli to sesame chicken and even crab legs. They even had fried shrimp and onion rings. There were easily 25-30 options just in this one area. The next area over was a full salad bar with every salad topping imaginable. Next, you will find the sushi area. There is someone right there making the sushi fresh in front of you. In the line, they had freshwater eel, tuna, salmon, crab, crab salad, seaweed salad, cocktail shrimp, mussels, and more! Now here is the best part....they had a full-on Mongolian BBQ area where you load your bowl full of fresh veggies, raw meats, and a variety of sauces. You then hand your bowl to the grill chef and he puts it on a large flat grill just like at a hibachi or Hu Hot. He chops, tosses, and perfects your dish before getting a clean bowl, putting your dinner creation in there, and handing it to you. It is such a neat thing to see at a buffet! Next to that is the dessert area where you can find individually wrapped ice cream cups in a freezer, soft serve ice cream to put in cones, jello, and even cheesecake. We ate a little of everything and it was all delicious. There were some items that seemed a little cold, but I think that is just because they filled the food at the buffet so full that the heat from the bottom could not reach the top. It was still really tasty though. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the sushi was. It tasted fresh and did not have a fishy taste or smell. Everyone in our group loved this restaurant and cannot wait to come back. At around $20 a person, you just can't beat it! read more

Was very crowded like most buffets are, not easy to get around with wheel chairs though as it is pretty compact. Worse time I've ever been to this place. I seen a cook or person who refreshes the buffet digging noodles out of the steam water that goes under the pans and putting them back on the buffet. My sweet waitress was yelled at in front of me and my family by the heavier cashier maybe she's a manager lady, idk but just because she accidentally showed me the wrong receipt when I asked for our itemized one. The food is below average for the high prices and after seeing that lady yell at her server and continue yelling as we were walking out just sealed the deal that we will never be coming back. With that said, very large selection of food, very nice Mongolian BBQ and sushi bar. Large salad and desert offering with a chocolate fountain adding a nice touch. But for $30.00 per person, only so much B quality food a person can eat without getting ill. Food is piled sky high and gets cold and stale. I love a great buffet, but this was NOT it! To prove that point I live in Littleton and drove to Arvada for lunch (30 min) to try this place. Obviously it's very important to eat at a Buffet when it's busy, so everything is fresh and hot. I arrived on a Wednesday at 12:15 for lunch and neither were true! I tried 4 types of chicken entrees and they were not hot, kind of chewy, and just didn't taste fresh from the kitchen...AT ALL. They all tasted like they'd been sitting there for hours and it was very busy. The sushi selection was good and really the best part of the meal, but that's not my main reason to eat at a Chinese buffet. Denver metro doesn't have a lot of options for Chinese buffets and yelp rated this the best in town and I wouldn't eat there again if it was 5 min from my house, much less 30. I never leave bad reviews (not my thing) but this was just plain BAD!! If it wasn't for the sushi option, it would be a 1 star not 2. read more

Honestly, it was OK. I mean it wasn't bad but I wouldn't go out of my way either. The Mongolian BBQ has enough but not an overwhelming selection. The sushi I didn't try because I don't like it. Tons of fried food which I want fresh tasting with veggies, not greasy. The sesame chicken was chewy. The prices were way more reasonable than the one that used to be where I live. It's finally out of business now. The dessert were what you find at almost all of them. The ice cream cups were a nice touch. This place is dirty and gross. When we arrived we were greeted at the counter and seated immediately. On our way to the table, we passed the drink station where the servers go to get drinks and it was absolutely filthy. The floor was covered in food, sticky syrup and trash. The dining area was a little bit cleaner. They are very busy, so they obviously don't spend a lot of time wiping down and cleaning anything. They basically clear off the table and bring in the next party. The serving stations look a little better. The bonus of them being so busy is the food is constantly refilled. The taste of it is not great & you could tell a lot of it is made from frozen and not scratch. Which is fine, It's a buffet, so they obviously save money where they can. They use spaghetti noodles to make their lo main.. It just doesn't taste the same. We did not try the mongolian grill or the desserts. It was a Saturday, so the cost was about $25 per person + $4 per drink. read more

They have everything, from orange chicken to chow mein to mussels, to sushi, to mongolian BBQ. Get ready to stuff your face. Their hot foods are plentiful although there were no crab legs, not sure if they have it daily until it runs out or just whenever they get it in. King Buffet seems built on the template of all other high variety/high volume Chinese buffets. Mongolian station, sushi station, cold salad and dessert station, and 2-3 hot buffet stations. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. Tables feel over crowded and tight, and the volume of people at the buffet madee me a bit anxious, but the food was always full and always hot. King Buffet is great, 15 bucks for an all you can eat chinese buffet along with a salad bar and Mongolian grill too, sign me up! I've been here a few times and each visit is just like the last, good quality food options and good buffet service replacing plates when you are finished with them. The nice finishing touch is the ice cream and the chocolate fountain. I'd say I'd there's a minor complaint it's that the place is too busy a lot of the time and it can be really difficult to find parking, but honestly a very minor critique, if any at all. 5 stars because if you compare this place to other Asian buffets in Colorado this place is GREAT. Pros: Mongolian station, chocolate fountain, continuous fresh food that comes out, great salad bar, soft-serve ice cream options and overall a CLEAN buffet. They are also fairly priced for both lunch, dinner and to go's. We've all been to the gross, grimey buffets and this is not one of them. I also do keep in mind that they are new and they are probably very on top of things but I don't foresee this place becoming a "dirty" buffet anytime soon. Cons: The fried foods are a bit dry, not sure if they are disability-friendly as far as how they seat parties( It was difficult to get back to our table every round) But that's really it. I'm a transplant to Colorado from NJ and one of the things that is hard to find out here is a good Chinese Food Buffet. I've tried a few restaurants along with buffets in the area and they all seem to follow the same pattern of having food that just isn't executed the same as we saw out east. From fried rice to dumplings, egg rolls and even crab rangoon all seem to have weird spins to them here. Well I finally gave this place a try and was pleasantly surprised as it closely resembles the same quality and execution from back home. These guys were fairly priced for a weekday lunch $18.55 for the buffet and a soda. People complaining about the price either are during dinner or weekend which is usually different food offerings and therefore cost more. But that is no different than any other Chinese buffet across the country, for what it is worth lunch is reasonable given today economic prices. Your spend this if not more at a fast food restaurant now for a single combo meal. The outside of this place has very limited parking as it shares its lot with numerous other stores, so from this perspective it's not that great. The inside is worn and dated with typical Asian decor but not as bad as some other places I've tried. The server wasn't overly friendly but did his job checking on you and offering refills of drinks. As for the food itself I can say it not the biggest buffet I've been to but from a food quality and offering was plenty. They also offer the hibachi grill, ice cream in prepackaged cups or a ice cream machine (which I admit was a little weird consistency). There is a chocolate fountain, other desserts. For main dishes there is some sushi but not tons, a good selection of chicken dishes. What stood out to me was like I stated earlier was it tasted very similar to back home. Grand opening today, so many options to choose from: Mongolian BBQ, Sushi, Chinese, Seafood, Chocolate fondue bar.... Most of what I had was the hand made sushi that was very fresh and had a quick turnover with most plates being refreshed within 15 minutes, flavors were great with more high end options that a regular buffet like eel, spicy tuna crunch, yellow fin, and shrimp. Mongolian BBQ station also had shrimp, beef, chicken all ready to be cooked to order. Main buffet had everything from standard beef and broccoli to baked clams, crawfish and fried crab. the place was busy, but spacious inside and not nearly as loud as you would think it to be for a restaurant this large This was part of the weekend buffet that will run a few dollars more then the weekday lunch, overall great quality of food and friendly service read more

We joined a small birthday party here, but chose not to eat as we had already eaten. After looking around, we were happy we'd skipped the meal. It is as one of the most filthy restaurants we have been in. Perhaps they are having trouble finding staff. It was jam-packed with people, and people were waiting to get in. I can only assume the food was typical buffet fare. The food looked decent enough, bur the floor was disgusting with litter and stains In the bathroom, my feet stuck to the floor and there were no paper towels, even after we told a staff member.
