Why did I not go here sooner? I have driven by this place a million times and never thought to stop in. I did, and I was not disappointed. They have so many options. They have a Mongolian BBQ, sushi (that is not half bad), an assortment of Chinese food, and other random things like pizza and cake. The vibe to me reminded me of Las Vegas. Not sure if this a good thing or a bad thing, but when leaving I could totally imagine stepping out onto the strip. Not sure how else to label the vibe, this is the best I can do. Anyway, I will need to go back and I will be prepared next time. Tons of great seafood, but also tons of great non-seafood options. The server was attentive and kept our drinks full and empty plates cleared. The price was not bad. Under $60 for two of us. I want to call this place a gem. My son and I went here on Sunday afternoon and it was very busy. I seldom visit all you can eat buffets but this was a place my son wanted to eat at. My first plate was small portions of many proteins and most of them were okay. I enjoyed the jalapeño chicken, pineapple chicken and fried catfish the most. There was a section for Mongolian.choices and a sushi section which my son partook of but I declined. There is a section with desserts and fresh fruits. I stuck with the 2 sections which included fish, shrimp, chicken, pork and beef. In summation the experience was okay, a decent selection of food, a fair price and they kept the refreshments filled. My son loves Kings Buffet and sushi is in his wheel house but not mine but I would go back again to try other choices. read more

The decoration in this place is beautiful, and has well thought behind it. The food is delicious! Spicy options, and non spice. Great options of food, and has great anti cross contamination measures between raw meat (photo of measures taken included) Overall a really good place, and definitely worth checking out. First time going to King Buffet and it will be my last. My daughter and I went for lunch. All the food didn't appear very appetizing. The only thing edible were the egg rolls and spring rolls. No cream cheese in the cream cheese wontons The garlic chicken was so over cooked it was like jerky. All the seafood looked very iffy. The Mongolian stir fry was not appetizing looking. The beef was tough. The egg drop soup seriously had zero flavor. The desserts were mostly ice cream. But they did actually have a Costco tuxedo cake cut into pieces. Service was good. This is your traditional Chinese Buffet with a great variety of dishes including some sushi and Low-Mein Noodles. Not really my cup of tea; as the food is very creasy and heavy. The Mongolian Buffet is rich in options (shrimps, fish, chicken, meat) and probably the healthiest choice. Service is efficient and the restaurant is clean. This buffet offers a wide variety of options to choose from! This business shares a parking lot with the surrounding businesses so I can get a little busy. Right off of I 70 and Wadsworth it has easy access. I love going to different buffets and seeing what they have to offer. This one has your classic Asian dishes, some American dishes, a Mongolian Grill, and a couple options for dessert. I really love getting to try a bunch of different entrées and learning what I like and don't like so when I go out to other restaurants, I'll know if it's something I want to order off their menu. The wait stuff was very attentive, picking up our empty dishes and refilling our drinks when they saw them get low. I was craving a buffet and this one was new to us and seemed to have good reviews so we said why not since we were in the area. Its about $20/person which is slightly cheaper than the one we usually go to. Right when you walk in you get a number and wait to be seated which took less than 10 mins. It was really crowded here so we thought it would be pretty good considering the crowd. It was kind of loud in there which is normal for any buffet but overall not bad. Just your average buffer experience Tastewise - well a buffet is a buffet and when you're cooking in bulk, not everything is gonna be seasoned well. The pineapple chicken was different and I liked that but the green beans were good the first time but then undercooked the second time I got them. The crawfish tasted like they were old so we passed after one plate. The ice cream machine was exciting but the taste and consistency was off but the fruit and packaged ice cream were good! King Buffet is my favorite Chinese buffet in Colorado. Where else can you get all you can eat sushi, chinese dishes and Mongolian BBQ you can eat for around $20, or even less at lunch time. It gets very busy, so the food is always fresh. One Sunday night there were about 50 people waiting in line. Its a big place so the line moved fast, and my wait was only about 20 minutes. No reservations taken. The Hot and Sour soup is so good! I've had Hot and Sour soup at other Chinese restaurants which was just soup with very little in it. At King Buffet its like stew, with lots of vegetables, meat etc, and so tasty! The Chinese food is decent. I've had better in San Francisco including dishes you can't get in Colorado (such as Tomato Beef Chowmein, and Hamyu, a salty fish dish). But for Colorado, its good Chinese food. You get eel sushi at dinner time. And there is Mongolia BBQ, where you load your plate with fresh veggies and meat, and sauces. Then give it to the cook behind the counter who will cook it on the huge round hot plate right in front of you. As fresh as it gets! King Buffet has opened in Aurora, and soon coming to Westminster. A Buffet made for a King at 5220 Wadsworth Bypass, Unit S, arvada, CO 80002 Six buffet tables, each one with different items such as fish, vegetables, chow mein, meats, fruit, sushi and the list goes on an on. You don't care for that? Then go to the Mongolian BBQ and have them make you a great plate of food. Feel like something sweet? No problem, the dessert bar is where to go! An unbelieavable selection of just about anything you would want including Ice cream and a chocolate fountain. Since I have been known to be the: "Buffet King", it takes a lot to impress me, I was definitely impressed! From entering the restaurant you see fabulous decor all over the walls, nice tables, a well designed buffet with plenty of room to navigate. Lots of employees that were constantly cleaning, checking on customers for drink refills, and chefs who were assigned to each buffet table monitoring the food. So how was the taste and quality? Incredible, outstanding, Wunaful! I definately enjoyed my meal and experience. I do want to address some of the other reviews. Majority are 4 plus stars but there are some that are 1 star, referencing to the handling of the food, rude servers/cashiers or how they got sick after eating here. I did not experience any of that. Each chef was constantly changing food as it got low, everything I ate was hot and delicious! My date who came with me (my 90 year old aunt), had no problems digesting the food, nor did I (for those who follow my reviews, I often talk about my delicate stomach). EVERY employee I had contact with was polite and nice. I was so impressed, I left a great tip. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND King Buffet. I'm not sure if I would recommend this place. I went today for lunch and it was decently busy but I didn't have to wait for a table. The buffet was well stocked and had a lot of variety. There was a Mongolian grill which was the best tasting in my opinion. I made a plate with noodles, steak, chicken, veggies and a couple sauces. Very tasty, would only eat that if I go back. The sushi part had me excited but I couldn't eat much of it because I have a shellfish intolerance and almost everything had crab (my stomach can't handle even imitation crab). The rest of the buffet was a wide selection of various fried foods, chicken, and Chinese dishes. I tried the general tsp's, sesame chicken, house special chicken, pork rib, fried rice, beef and broccoli and another chicken that wasn't fried that I can't remember the name of. The sesame chicken was cold inside which was very disappointing. The general tso's chicken was the only tasty item on my plate besides the fried rice. The more rib just wasn't tender or flavorful and the chicken was all pieces that make you question if it's actually chicken. The fried rice was solid though. I also tried the hot and sour soup and it wasn't bad, wasn't good. Way too much pepper. Went with my grandpa so only got one picture this time. read more

We visited Denver for about 4 days, and this was such a good buffet for our family that we came twice. The parking lot is large with plenty of parking. The first time we came was on a Friday night, and although they were busy there was no wait. The 2nd time was that Sunday, and they were packed, but the wait was only about 10 minutes. They carry all the standard Chinese Buffet fare, and everything was really tasty and fresh. The sushi station had a lot of different options. I also love the hibachi, and the fact that you could season your meat to your desire prior to them cooking it. The salad bar was large, and had some cold salad options that I don't usually see. The spicy seafood cold salad was so good. All of my kids, even the pickiest of them, found food items they loved. If I come back to Denver, I would definitely bring my family back here. read more

Kings buffet is like any other buffet but here's my honest experience, I went during a rush hour and despite all that staff was friendly and did their best to clean and make it around tables and seating people. As for food the fish was not cooked enough and the chicken just really lacked flavor and was dry so that was a bit disappointing. The sushi was alright though and the desserts were pretty good as well as the Mongolian noodles, so for a Chinese buffet all you can eat I say this place is worth trying out, maybe go earlier before dinner rush. read more

Only reason it has 4 stars is because the lady up front greeted us with such attitude. Asked for a booth and she said "ok whatever go sit wherever I dont care" so thats that. Stooped there for lunch this week and found i arrived a bit early. While making phone calls in my car, they opened at 11am and about a hundred people were rushing in the door. When i got inside i could see why everyone loves this place! Super great variety in foods, place was very clean and the service was excellent!! It is a large place so there was plenty of space between the tables and booths so you didn't fell rushed or crammed in. The Aurora location just opened. Packed in to the corner of a busy strip shopping center. Decor is nice. Good variety. They have sushi but no labels to tell you what kind. I love hot and sour soup and this was one of the worst I have had. They leave the heads on the crispy shrimp and the chicken dishes all taste the same. They have small crab but it is oil fried not steamed and is way over cooked, like baby food. Good desert selection for a buffet. They also have Mongolian stir fry. I was feeling pretty empowered after a therapy session and wanted to treat myself to dinner...but this place wasn't it for me. At the same time, though, I don't want to knock the buffet for those who enjoy it! The food is rather stale - you can tell it's been sitting around all day. With that said, there's a wide variety of it (American, Mongolian, Chinese, and even sushi). I'm familiar with slightly upscale dining experiences - the sushi was bland, the fried food made me sick to my stomach (food poisoning vibes), and the dessert wasn't appealing. The astronomical rate they charge ($22 after tax!) was a bit steep considering I had a plate and a half of cheap, fried food. I could see how this could be budget-friendly to families with little ones, though. The service was nearly non-existent. Aside from walking me to my table at the beginning, I didn't experience any assistance or service the rest of the meal. Buffet that offers a mongolian grill, sushi, and the regular hot items at buffets. Dinner on a weekday costs 18.99, not bad!! The mongolian grill was definitely the highlight, the chefs here know how to cook the vegetables until they still have a bite but not raw at all. The teriyaki sauce and chili sauce were also really good in the noodles. Sushi was standard, mainly imitation crab and the hot food items were also standard. Their coke/pepsi is also really good. If you're okay with buffets nowadays and you like Chinese food then this is recommended. First things first, we encountered great customer service. It's a buffet, which my husband was having but I explained my circumstances and the reason why I wouldn't be having the all you can eat, and they were happy to accommodate my special circumstances. I was able to get food from the buffet and pay for the plate by the pound (one and done, no going back). The other nice touch was that they provide disposable gloves for handling the serving utensils on the buffet lines. The restaurant was clean, the food was average buffet flavor; nothing was bursting was great taste. For better flavor you'll definitely want to stick with a non buffet style. Because it's a buffet, the pics are hard to rate for appearance but my hubby enjoyed and said that when he's up for driving out there, he'll definitely hit them up again. Take an appetite with you so that you can get the full AYCE experience. Downside, the handicapped parking spaces had all of the plowed snow dumped into them. Pleasantly surprised, I can't believe I never tried this place before. We went here for our friends birthday party on Saturday. Make sure you make reservations as it gets quite busy on the weekend. We had at least 30 people in our group with at least 9 kids. They have an excellent selection of seafood, salad & fruit bar, dessert station with chocolate fountain and soft serve ice cream. They also have a Mongolian bbq station which you must absolutely try. They had an amazing crew working that night, got our tables and drinks quickly. Very attentive and friendly. Me and my friends believed that this is one of the better or under rated buffets in Colorado, for the price we ate our best and left a generous tip. Definitely we will be back again! read more
