I have been to this place over ten times and it used to be my favorite spot for AYCE until tonight. I brought my friends here to finally try the place I had been speaking highly of. We sit down and a server spills water all over the table and my friend's boyfriend. He doesn't apologize, a coworker makes a joke that that's "his second time today". Runs to grab paper towel to then have us clean the table off. We hear the staff making jokes and comments about the whole thing and rude remarks. It was down hill after that service wise. Having us pass each other hot plates and reaching over the table and my friends instead of walking around the table, plastic was in my friends boyfriends ice cream (that got the water poured on him) and the the ice cream we all got was so frozen we had to sit and wait for it to thaw out, we came in 2 hours before close and even called ahead to give them a heads up as there were 6 of us so we were trying to be polite and it seemed like they were trying everything possible to get us to leave which just ended up taking longer for us to be able to leave. Also waited for our check for probably 20 minutes and instead of asking our group of 6 how we wanted it split it was handed to us as one so then we waited again to be able to split it. They didn't offer any sort of compensation for having him sit there wet and charged us for the 5 leftover pieces instead! I literally got embarrassed for bringing them here which is a let down because again, I loved this place and the AYCE sushi is some of the best I have had but the service needs to be consistent no matter if the manager is there or not. read more

Walked in on a Friday around 1:30 PM looking for a light snack/meal. So obviously, we weren't there for 'all you can eat'. I loved the "catmosphere". Looking at the pictures of the place, it seems that they've changed the ambiance at least a time or two, but I was digging all of the cat stuff everywhere. Our order: Agedashi Tofu - Neither of us liked this dish. It didn't have a huge amount of flavor, and the little it did have wasn't super appetizing. Sort of sweet. Miso Soup - This was my favorite for sure. Lots of broth, and very tasty. Garlic Edamame - Next time we're going for the regular edamame. Was not a fan of the bland seasoning. Vegetable Tempura Roll - Not bad. A little too large for either of us to pick up with the chopsticks, messy, but pretty good flavor. I also had a chilled saki drink, since it was my birthday, which was too sweet in my opinion, but not horrible. I would've had the hot saki had it been a little later in the day. Gosh im sad to write this review but this was an abysmal showing. I only went once and got the all you can eat sushi. Generally, all the rolls relied heavily on salt and kewpie mayo for flavoring. There was little flavor or character to any of the the fish. The roe was flavorless and rubbery. At a price point of 32.99 for all you can eat sushi, I felt deeply disappointed with what I received. The staff were very friendly and courteous, and the ambiance was playful and unique. However, the food was worse than mediocre, im sad to say. Im not trying to be a hater, but it baffles me to see this place rated so highly to then have such a disheartening experience. If you do choose to go, do à la carte or some option other than all you can eat- i dont think you'll get your moneys worth. PS my wife said the soda wasn't very good. read more

Stay away from this place. We were ethically discriminated at by the racist server JD. The server JD refused to let us bring in our own water, yet JD let the people behind us bring lots of beverages inside the restaurant and that is OK? In a professional restaurant, I would not expect racism and discrimination from any server (JD in this case). Also, on more than a few occasions, they gave us sushi that was old and smelled quite fishy. However, their appetizers are great but the sushi is barely above mediocre. We were really pleased with our experience at Sushi Neko! My husband ordered a large hot sake, which was discounted for a "spring sale." We both ate all you can eat (AYCE). We ordered and successfully ate (we were hungry!!) 6 speciality rolls and two sesame balls and my husband had one piece of nigiri, so the price was worth it! Our favorites were the Pink Lady roll, Alaskan roll, House Crunchy roll, and the Dragon roll and Fantasy roll. So basically we liked all of the rolls we ordered with the exception of the fried one, but that was just a personal preference, it was still objectively good if you like warm fried rolls. Everything seemed fresh and we were pleased with the composition (rice to other ingredients ratios) of all of the rolls. We went Saturday night for a spontaneous dinner date. It was a loud and fun atmosphere, with cat decor all around and fun upbeat music playing. The service was good, if a tad bit overbearing- just know that it seems they do team staffing, so you'll have a constant wave of staff members walking up one after the other asking if you need anything, which is good for all you can eat since you each order one thing at a time. I was excited to learn an all you can eat place had opened in Arvada over a year ago now. But I haven't had the chance to check it out. I was pregnant and then life with a newborn. I never made it. So my husband and I finally made it in right before the new year! We went for lunch and learned that their lunch AYCE had a smaller selection than dinner. We'll definitely make it back to try dinner because they had some rolls we would love to try. And, in this case, while it was all you can eat, there are fairly strict rules and it's heavy on rice and light on sushi. We ordered in bite sized pieces and ate everything that was brought, so as not to be charged for anything left on our plates. You may eat absolutely every last morsel. That said, the sushi wasn't nearly as fresh as we've had elsewhere and the rice dominated every bite, so as to drown out the thin portions of sushi nigiri. We came here because we used to be a fan at the Sushi Nemo in Las Vegas! Yes, same names but no relation, lol. Both are all you can eat sushi. This one is owned by Koreans so their Korean specialties are really good, namely the bulgogi and kalbi. I got too escorted for sushi and ordered too much of them. So happy that there is now an AYCE sushi place up north. This is really a neighborhood gem and the food/service are amazing. They've only been opened for about a month and I've eaten here twice in the last 2 weeks. Anytime we go to an AYCE sushi place, I always like to see how their rice measures up... and boy, I really love their sushi rice here. Way better than the other AYCE places around town IMO. The rolls are generously sized and not all just filled with rice either... My personal favorite rolls are the tiger roll, the bulgogi roll, the spider roll and the handrolls (fill to the brim of the seaweed). The teriyaki salmon/chicken are a must and we love their tempura as well. All the nigiris were fresh.. a little on the small side but hey it's AYCE.. just order more right? Best AYCE sushi we've tried so far! Amazing value for the price, and the sushi is actually good sushi instead of just meh. We've tried Sushi Katsu, Eeeny Meeny Sushi Roll, and a few other AYCE, and Sushi Neko is the best so far! Gyozas are amazing, and I would recommend getting them, even if you're there to mostly eat sushi. The Miso soup is also very good, albeit strong in flavor than what some might be used to. All of the rolls we had were good. It's a joy to find a AYCE where there are plenty of special rolls to order from. I posted on Google already, but decided I want to clarify a bit more on here. I've been to this restaurant 5 times now. They charge for leftovers. I get it. Don't order excessive waste of food so that policy exists. I only do 1 round of food. Finish most of it. I should've taken a picture as proof, but I put my word on the factual accuracy below. I barely touched the "garlic edamame" because it's more like Korean sauce edamame and it wasn't good. They gave me a full mini plate of it. 50¢ I left one of the two "spring roll" uneaten. I wrote 1 on my paper, but they gave 2. Sometimes the portions of these food choices are very plentiful, sometimes it's a tiny 1oz piece of teriyaki salmon. It wasn't even a spring roll. It's an egg roll. Spring rolls are wrapped in rice paper. This egg roll with some sort of sauce that doesn't go well with it was served to me. I almost finished one, but the other remained. 50¢ I ordered 2 katsu pork, because last time my portion was tiny. This portion was small but I wasn't able to finish my second order. I left 3 strip pieces out of 4. Yea, kinda over-ordered. 50¢ I was charged $1.50 on top of my $43 bill (solo eater). I've been here 4 times before and each time I've tipped $15-20. Twice I paid for excess food because I over-ordered (I believe once I paid $5 and once I paid $10). Money isn't really the issue, but for them to pursue that $1.50 is just ridiculous. The food here is not great at all. Tokyo Joe's which is almost like fast food, is much better if you want Japanese food nearby. read more
