Sujin is amazing! She's so nice and she did such a great job on the two wedding dresses I had. She even helped me to get them cleaned and pressed. My dress was a sample sale, so it was extremely delicate and had about 6 layers to it. It had an embroidered layer, the inside lining was falling apart, and the skirt had structured underskirts to give volume. This dress was also a size 10 and I needed to bring it down to a size 6. I had Sujin bring in the dress around the abdomen and adjust the sweetheart neckline as well. She knew to match the neckline and back so that nothing would be out of proportion. I also had her hem the skirt. She spent lots of hours and labor on this, but the dress looked good as new and she finished in time for the wedding. For my second dress, I had a silk dress that was delicate as well, for this i had her bring in the abdomen as well and the dress was perfectly tailored to me. She's so skilled! I would trust her with any of my alteration needs! Definitely call ahead to make an appointment!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Kim's alterations!! They are so so nice, and do amazing work! I brought in my very delicate lace wedding dress and they tailored it to fit me like a glove! I also had a short dress that I changed into and they altered that perfectly as well! Thank you!!

Kim's Alterations is amazing. For my birthday this year, I had an idea to take a long-sequin skirt and turn it into a two-piece set. Ms. Kim did a fabulous job of accomplishing my vision with style. She custom-made a crop-sequin top with straps and a low-rise sequin skirt; she made my wish come true. She is reasonably priced, works fast, and does a great job every time (I have been coming to her business my entire life.) I am so grateful for this unique set and her beautiful sewing.

Mesh illusion dress altered by Kim's Alterations & the suit too :) they're amazing at what they do!

Had good experiences when i asked for something super simple like getting pants hemmed. However,…read moreRecently i had a bespoke dress made for me and i took it to get altered, and Grace the seamstress there kept complaining to me about the fabric of my dress being thick. As she was pinning it on me i kept getting poked by her pins and she was apathetic when i mentioned it. In general, the vibe is strange, i noticed she spoke english better to an older white man getting a suit, but to me (mixed asian) she didnt bother with proper sentences or looking at me/asking if it was good. The cherry on top is, despite leaving my information, when i came more than a week later to get my dress, she hadnt worked on it at all and said she was sick. I trust that she was, but come on, at least text me or something. I'm going elsewhere for alterations.

My wife and I have been going to Glady's for over 20 years. The original owner is no longer there…read moreand it's changed hands a couple of times. The reason for the 3 stars is the customer service and now, the price. I don't remember the owner's name but she does know what she's doing. The problem is, she doesn't have a filter of any kind. She's very comfortable with telling you how fat you are and that you've gained or lost weight. If this was a one time deal, ok, but almost every time we go in?! I'm not someone who is grossly overweight either so going in to get pants hemmed and being told, " you fatter now" is less than ideal. I kept going despite this because of her knowledge but the last time we went in, she did not do what I asked for and the price was very expensive. I had to point out that she wrote down what I asked but made a mistake. She was not pleased as she had to redo several pants. I've managed to find another tailor that seems happy for my business and their prices are more in line with what they should be.

    Sam’s Cleaners - Perfect replacement!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel obligated…read moreto share it. I brought in several Crate & Barrel curtain panels valued at approximately $900 for dry cleaning. Because of the cost of the curtains and the fact that they were in excellent condition, I specifically asked the owner, Sam, about potential risks before signing the waiver. During that conversation, Sam told me that pilling was a possibility, but he also stated that he had never personally encountered a situation where a customer's curtains experienced an adverse outcome from the cleaning process. He reassured me that everything would be fine. At no point did he mention shrinkage as a potential risk. That distinction is important because if I had been informed that shrinkage was a realistic possibility, I would not have proceeded with a nearly $400 dry-cleaning service on $900 curtains. I would have simply replaced them. Unfortunately, after cleaning, the curtains no longer matched in length. Panels that previously pooled slightly on the floor are now hanging approximately 3-5 inches above the floor, and the lengths appear inconsistent from panel to panel. In addition, the curtains appear to have been pressed improperly. The fabric no longer hangs straight. Instead, the sides appear narrower near the top and wider near the bottom, creating a noticeable billowing or hourglass effect. When I raised this concern, Sam acknowledged that the pressing issue was human error. I should note that I was unable to pick up the curtains for approximately a month due to a medical emergency. However, the condition of the curtains upon pickup does not change the fact that the shrinkage and pressing issues occurred during the cleaning and finishing process. What ultimately prompted this review was not just the outcome, but how the situation was handled. I spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone with Sam attempting to discuss the issue calmly and professionally. Rather than addressing the specific concerns I raised, he repeatedly insisted that I had been warned, despite the fact that shrinkage had never been mentioned. The conversation frequently drifted into broad generalizations about waivers and customer responsibility rather than the specific facts of what had been disclosed to me before I signed. When I explained that there is a meaningful difference between being warned about pilling and being warned about shrinkage, he maintained that shrinkage fell under the general umbrella of possible damage and that he could not be expected to list every potential outcome. I disagreed. When a customer specifically asks about risks, they deserve enough information to make an informed decision. I also found it unreasonable that I was told I could receive either a $50 accommodation for the shrinkage issue or have the curtains re-pressed to correct the acknowledged pressing error--but not both. These are two separate issues. One relates to the cleaning outcome, while the other relates to admitted workmanship during finishing. Perhaps most disappointing was being told that providing any additional accommodation would essentially amount to "running a charity instead of a business." After spending nearly $400 on the service and receiving curtains that no longer fit or hang properly, that comment felt dismissive and unnecessarily insulting. Had Sam simply acknowledged that shrinkage should have been discussed, shown some empathy, and worked collaboratively toward a reasonable solution, I likely would not be writing this review. Instead, I was left with damaged curtains, no meaningful resolution, and a conversation that left me feeling unheard and blamed for an outcome I specifically tried to avoid by asking questions upfront.

Flawless execution, to a point where you can truly feel the attention the detail & appreciate the skills needed for this kind of service. So I'm very fortunate to have this business close by. PRICING: Totally fair. I was pleasantly surprised to have been charged $25 for an original hem. To my understanding, it's more labor intensive compared to a standard hem. Sam helped me from the intake and even recognized me during my pickup. He's kind, polite, a real stand up guy running an honest business.
