A few months ago I needed a dry cleaners who could clean my son's suit that we just purchased for his prom. I needed it right away and they were able to accommodate the quick turnaround time. The suit looked great when I picked it up. I have since been back 4 additional times. Each time customer service has been fantastic and items have been great! I'm not really familiar with pricing of dry cleaning, so I can't speak to whether or not the pricing is good. If you are planning to get alterations done from this place please don't waste your time and money. Please look for another place who can do a better job. I gave them three jeans for adjusting the length and they messed up the brand new jeans. I told them that some places didn't do a good job so I specifically told to make sure the jeans doesn't stick out after the alternation. They agreed to it and did exactly the opposite. I have attached the picture for reference. Instead of taking the accountability the owner of the store tried to gaslight saying that they jeans might came crocked and they didn't mess it up. He even asked me to return the jeans to get my money back for the jeans but who will refund the money that I paid them even though they messed it up?? For someone who has a business like dry cleaners and asking to return the customer jeans for refund instead of fixing the mess up is extremely awful. Edit: Updating the review with a response from the business owner. I had multiple discussion with the owner regarding this mess up at the store. He has been repeating the same story again and again. He seems to miss the point that it was communicated before handing over the jeans that it should not stick out after the alternation which he seems to have chose to ignore. A general statement of "Your jeans do not have the same taper all the way down" is not acceptable considering the mess up is with three jeans and also I don't have any problem with how it looks on the left side. I have a problem with just the right. You cannot say that all three jeans have issue with the taper on the right side. Also, he suggested to get them tapered but with a reduced width which makes the jeans tight to wear and he forgets to mention in his response that he stated that jeans might still stick out even after the taper as well. Fact is your tailor did placed the jeans side ways while sewing under the machine. I don't mind giving another chance as long as you guys can promise that the jeans won't stick out like that after the taper. read more

I haven't used a cleaners in quite a few years. The last establishment I used completely turned me off from ever using a cleaning service, again. Fast forward to a few months back, I was getting married in 2 days and completely forgot that I needed my wedding gown steamed... with so much going on, I didn't even think about it, but thankfully my sister in law did! I brought my gown in and discussed my dilemma with the guy at the counter. He was super helpful and put my anxiety at ease, as he saw the fright on my face. He initially told me that they had just turned their steamers off, but told me not to worry, he'd take care of my gown and have it ready within a few hours. He called to tell me my gown was ready. When I arrived, they brought my gown out and I was amazed at how beautifully they packaged it! It definitely surpassed my expectations! It was not in the standard "dry cleaning plastic." They had it draped around a dress form and safely tucked inside a thick plastic dress bag to further protect it from not only the elements, but any accidental spills. The pricing was excellent and totally worth the value of the service. The customer service, let alone him going above and beyond to ensure my dress was ready for my wedding spoke volumes! This is definitely a place I will be continuing to visit for my cleaning needs. If I could trust them with one of the most important items ever and they did a fantastic job on it, I can only imagine how they would take care of my other items. I had some alterations on a coat. This is the 3rd item I've had alterations completed here. ALL 3 times I was up charged on the cost. I was given an "estimate" to shorten the sleeves. Each time the estimate was $32.99. Each time I was told I'd be given a call on Monday with the price, which had to be approved by the owner. Each time I had to call them and each time it ended up being $39.99. 2 of the items were light jackets that didn't even cost $39.99 and the most recent one was a heavy coat. They did an acceptable job on the alterations and I only came here because I couldn't reach Toyo on 9th St. I know it's only $7.00 but it's the principle as it seems like a common practice here. And in my opinion, that is not a good business practice. read more

Studio Cleaners is located north of Ralph's on Western. You can't miss it, the building is blue. I first sought out this building due to another cleaners nearly ruining my two toned blazer dress. I gave them a call and it's a family owned business. Very personable and professional. I dropped off my two toned blazer dress and it was fixed to my liking. This time around I brought in my comforter and let's just say it wasn't returned the way I dropped it off. For some particular reason when I lates my comforter out it was bunched up in certain spots and it looked like a little kid had made my bed where they forget to smooth the covers out! I left a voicemail and I was told to bring my comforter back in for them to (try to fix it). Keep in mind I've had my comforter cleaned once prior to studio cleaners and this has never happened. They offer to fix for a third time as the comforter was ruined. I ended up purchasing another comforter. 1 star for customer service 2 stars for fast turn around 3 stars requesting to bring my comforter in a third time to fix it! Hi Kevin- as stated nearly ruined by the other cleaners, however.. with the two toned black and white blazer dress the white side was still not as bright as I wanted it to be which was discussed with your father. On a lighter note, I expressed to your father and Cam that I'll continue to bring other garments but not comforters. This place deserves its flawless reputation. I brought in two wool pea coats that had been hung on a coat rack for a few years (don't judge me, I live in SoCal, when do I ever need a coat?). When dropping them off I chatted with the gal at the counter about some possible repairs to the lining on one coat (which I ultimately declined since it would have been more extensive than it was really worth) and some buttons to put back on the other. During this process she discovered some mold on one of the coats. Yikes?? How did this mold?? They were sitting on a coat rack?? Embarrassing, but apparently they've seen worse since she apologetically told me they absolutely could clean it but they do charge a small fee for treatment of mold. Well, that makes sense, it takes more work. No problem there. She took my info, gave me a claim check & approximate pickup date & I was on my way. She did tell me at the time that it would take longer for the second coat, since it needed to wait its turn for alterations. Fair enough, and I appreciated the heads up. A few days later I got a text message that my clothes were ready - just the first coat, which I went and picked up. Wow, they did such a great job! I got this coat from a thrift store so there's no telling how old it is - and I've had it for at least 12 years, but it looked brand new. The wool was super soft, smelled nice, and absolutely no trace of mold. The last cleaners I took this to didn't do anywhere near as nice of a job - I noticed the difference immediately, especially in how soft the fabric was. It took about another week for the second coat to be ready, but I wasn't able to pick it up immediately because my car was in the shop. I got a reminder text message at the 14 day mark & called in so they'd know I was still coming. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was super nice and friendly & told me it was no problem when I explained about waiting on my car. Picking up the next week was no problem, and the second coat was just as nice as the first one. They did such a good job cleaning these up, I'm super impressed. I don't have many things that need dry cleaning but this will be my new go-to spot. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly & helpful, and they obviously really care about making sure you're happy with their work. It's unfortunate, as this is the closest cleaners to my home. I brought in a shirt with a stain and when I picked it up, the tape to designate the stain and the stains were still there. I was informed that they tried but they can try again to remove the stain. I do not think they even tried the 1st time, cleaned the shirt, in which the stain set. The second time I picked it up, most of the stain was gone, but as the stain had set, there is still a slight stain. I will not be going back. My first meeting was the owner and his son. They were friendly, courteous, and professional. My clothes were cleaned to my standard and satisfaction so I was excited about dropping off my second order of clothes. The second order contained quite a few items that had been stored away and had yellow or brown spots on them. I was hopeful that the garments could be saved but would not have been disappointed if they were unable to restore the garments to their original luster. Ha. To my surprise and satisfaction they were not only able to address the discolorations but these clothes look like they are brand new! several items that I left in my previous order were not ready because the tailor was meticulously restoring the tears and I didn't mind leaving the items there. I have high standards when it comes to my clothes and I must say that those standards are exceeded each time I visit Studio Cleaners. Genius wizards of cleaning! They cleaned and restored a sequined and beaded formal gown that had gathered dirt and mildew in the garage. Now it looks brand-new and gala-worthy again (the gown, I mean, not the garage -- that's still a mess, LOL!). They replaced the heavy-duty brass zipper of my elderly friend's wool jacket when I found that the job of repairing it was beyond my skill. They cleaned and restored my purses and handbags (fabric, faux leather, and real leather), and they washed and cleaned a bunch of my clothes that had been soiled and damaged in the same garage disaster as the formal gown. If I could give 100 stars, I would. 5 days before my sister's wedding, my sister and i had to buy bridesmaid dresses as our planned dresses didn't show up. However, they needed alterations. Studio cleaners agreed to make the alterations in such a short time, and they went above and beyond for us. These dresses were covered in beads and then had to hand sew everything. They stopped taking alteration orders for a few days so that they could ensure they would finish our dresses. They were extremely accommodating, friendly, hard working, and gracious. I'm really disappointed to have to write this review, but with such poor customer service, I have no choice. I brought 2 pairs of new pajama pants and 1 pair of new leggings to be hemmed. I received a notification that they were ready and when I picked them up and brought them home, I immediately noticed the leggings looked different. They were a shiny material, however now there was no more shine on the leggings. When I put them on and looked in the light, I could see drip marks from the where the shine in material was coming off. There are spots all over the leggings. Of course I was upset because I had paid $50 for the leggings and another $20 to have them hemmed and now they are ruined! However, I was optimistic when I took the leggings in and showed the younger gentlemen working. He assured me they would make it right UNTIL the owner was notified. He came over looked at the leggings and saw the damage. He told me all they did was steam them....(why? when they were just to be hemmed?) He took them over to the steamer and went over the leggings but the leggings are already ruined so you won't be able to see any more damage. He told me they would do nothing other then give me a credit to have another pair hemmed....No thank you, why would I want that. I continued to ask him to please make this right and provide good customer service. Even asking him to refund me at least $30 towards the leggings (I paid $20 just to have them hemmed!) No, he said, he would not be refunding me anything and he already knows what I'm going to do....(write a poor review?) It's really a shame that this is how this family run business treats their customers. ***In response to the owner's reply about "witnessing the steaming"...the owner showed me he steamed at the top of the leggings and had me feel it was still warm and nothing happened....the last picture I'm adding shows what happens after it cools. You can see the same effect has happened to the top of the leggings where he steamed to show me. I would at least like a refund if you are unwilling to have my leggings replaced, not a credit to risk having more clothes ruined. read more
