I think it is the mark of a responsible and accountable business manager when they choose how they're going to respond, not to easy situations, but to difficult ones. To the credit of the owners of King Pelican, they rose to the occasion, accepted their part in it, and did everything they could to make it right. For what it's worth to me, nothing instills confidence better to me than seeing when a restaurant or a retail space shows how committed they are to making sure that their customers are whole after a difficult interaction. I also like that they use cards so you don't have to worry about change or cash. There are several sizes of washer and two sizes for dryers. There are chairs and benches and TVs while you wait. The only thing I don't like is that their parking lot can often get full even when there are not many people inside and there's not a suitable place to park for over flow. A few times I've actually just left and come back at another time when I see the lot full. These are the rates for self wash as of 12/11/25: 2 load - $4.59 4 load - $6.79 6 load - $8.75 8 load - $11.19 Dryers for 10 min: Small - .75 Big - .90 They also have drop off and fluff and fold services, which are actually pretty reasonable when you do the math.
