I took a shirt there, recently, to have the button holes put on the opposite side, because the shirt was made for a man. The owner did me one better. She put heavy duty snaps on in such a way, you would never know anything had been altered and it solved my issue with dealing with fastening not designed for a woman. I was so pleasantly surprised! I have been going to these cleaners off and on for a while (dont have a lot of dry cleaning items) and have never really had an issue until now. Brought in a flight jacket that was issued to me and needed to get Velcro for a patch put on chest. When I brought it in I showed the location of where I wanted it and when I picked it up it was not in the correct location, about 1/2" too low. Looking back I was kind of surprised that they did not safety pin it/chalk location I wanted it, they assumed I wanted it 7" from the shoulder down like the other side and not centered to the one already there. They did fix it which is good. But also when I picked it up there is an oil stain on the sleeve that they said was there already but it wasn't there when I dropped it off. We went back-and-forth, that they notified me a was there and I said "no you didn't it wasn't there", either way I left it to be cleaned and they got it out for a fee. This is my experience. They have cleaned comforters for us before and no issues. read more

I've been in the South Bay for 11 years and it took me 2 years to find this excellent dry cleaners. As usual as with 99% of all dry cleaners there are no stains that cannot be removed. I'm a stickler for my creases to always be sharp and perfect. I wear Levi's 501 straight leg. Now being Old School I like my Levi's creased. If you know anything about ironing 501's there is a trick (that I will it divulge here). Well let me just say that they do it perfectly with a cuff even. This, literally, is a Mom and Pop shop, they greet you by name and know your clothes like they were theirs. Keep these small shops alive. This is a great neighborhood store. I now live 15 miles from their store and I have attempted to visit others but keep coming back to this cleaner. read more

Seems to be a nice, newer facility right next to Fresh & Easy. All that I've had done here is to get shirts cleaned and pressed. They're on my way to work, park right in front, never a line or wait, always pleasant, fairly priced. I work downtown, so sometimes it takes a while for me to get home So far the best feature is that they're open until 7:00 for pickup. read more

We took in a wedding dress for Restoration that was over six months ago and I've been following up with Tanya on and off and she's been having me chase my tail for no reason... now she's not answering my calls and the men at the counter keeps telling me she's off. This place was absolutely awesome!!! I went here to get my dress altered for my wedding and Tanya did an amazing job!!! Do not let the appearance of the facility scare you away!!! Yes, it could definitely use some updating, HOWEVER, she is WAY less expensive than the bridal shop referrals and a million times more pleasant! She is just as good and definitely knows what she is doing! I 100% recommend this place to any bride! I got a designer dress at The White Dress in Newport, and Tanya made sure I had a designer fit! I obviously can't drop off clothes here weekly but there is not a person I would trust with my suit and shirt alterations (and even dresses if I wore them) more than Tania. She has been making me look like Puff Daddy/P.Diddy/Sean Combs for years (aside from the whole I'm-not-black thing). I don't usually review businesses, but felt like adding this review was necessary. I would have liked to give them 4 stars but I'm giving 2 and will explain why in this review. I've used them only twice and they're pretty affordable but first time when I brought my shirts home I noticed one of my shirts had a hole in it I never saw before, right sleeve back side of cuff. I thought it was possibly something that was already there & is one of the button-up shirts I usually roll the sleeves up anyway on, so I didn't give it much thought. I picked up another batch of dry-cleaning from them after work today and noticed a similar hole on another shirt - same size & pretty much same exact location. So I looked through all my shirts I took to this place past 2 visits and ended up discovering 3 shirts with the same exact hole, same location on all shirts. These are NICE shirts, too, expensive purchases - which is why I dry clean them. They seem like nice people & it's affordable compared to other dry cleaners that I'm aware of, but c'mon - this is a poor standard. I'll be going back tomorrow with the 3 shirts to show them the holes and see how it's handled. I'm pretty disappointed and unlikely to take any more clothes there again. EDIT: I'm keeping my review at 2 stars. Went back today & the gentleman I spoke with (one of the owners I guess) claimed that it wasn't their fault. He seemed to remember the shirts saying the holes were already there - but it's the first time I've ever seen them & I always check my shirts before & after dry cleaning. He didn't seem to have a good answer on why they wouldn't call me about it before cleaning the shirts. All I can suggest is anyone who has dry-cleaned long-sleeve shirts here recently check your right sleeves near the cuffs, or anyone planning to take their shirts here take a picture of that area of your shirts before dropping them off. read more

Surprised - Not in a Good Way! I've been a customer for more than 4 years now. While I don't dry-clean all that much, they've always come through for my basic needs. The asian ladies were always very helpful and friendly. Recently (maybe in the last year or so) I noticed a new slavic lady (Russian?) who seemed to do OK, until the other day. I came in to get my tux shirt cleaned/starched for my wedding - sure I put it off until late, but she was happy to accommodate my rush request. It was for my wedding after all. Then it all went wrong. When I picked up the shirt, I instantly noticed that the ruffles were not ironed flat, and the cloth around the buttons was badly wrinkled. She made some excuse about a poly/cotton blend shirt not holding & dismissed my concerns. I wasn't convinced, so I looked closer and noticed the entire shirt was covered in fine dark-blue lint. When I further complained, she quietly walked into the back got a lint brush, ran it over the pleats of the shirt (further wrinkling them), and then put the same blue-lint covered plastic back over the shirt! I figured I'd cut my losses at this point (the wedding was the next day) and asked her once again about the wrinkles, recalling that I'd had better success the last time I had starched it. She very rudely suggested that maybe I should go do it myself! For the record, I did just that and the shirt turned out exactly as I expected it (except I couldn't iron out all the wrinkles around the buttons that they'd somehow pressed into the shirt). While I managed to walk out of there without completely losing it, I don't recommend these guys if you need it done quickly and right the first time. I really just cannot believe how ludicrous this was! I told her it was for a wedding, you'd think they would spend extra care on it - but obviously they cut corners instead! And when challenged on it, they were obviously not interested in keeping me as a customer. read more

The owners are personable , hardworking and aim to please. Have been using them for few years and dry cleaning as well as alterations have been perfect. If you need something quickly it is done. Tanya is a brilliant tailor/ seamstress who saved my long mother of groom dress from potential ruin after boutique tailor had supposedly altered. When we need tailoring or repair service, we take our items to them. If we want faster service, we make a request and it is honored. We drop off our Uniforms once a week because we are very happy with this Cleaners..I have tried the cleaners across the street from Palos, ~NO COMPARISON~, "Palos WINS and has earned our business". The price is just perfect; Customer service is pleasant. Their Hemming service and price is AWESOME. They have reserve parking for their customers which makes it easy to get to their business, as this area does get packed and crowed for parking. Wonderful service! I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed and they did a great job in a few days for $30! When I came back to have the dress cleaned, they remembered my daughter and I and asked all about the wedding. This is just a small business but they provide excellent customer service and do a wonderful job with cleaning and hemming. The prices are really inexpensive too. I took mine in on Thursday evening and it was ready the following day. I took the dress in more than one year after my wedding day with a red wine stain and the dress looked like new after Palos cleaned it. And the price was very reasonable.
