Very friendly place. They've done a great job on my dry cleaning and a recent alteration job. Very fast and efficiently. Would definitely recommend! read more

Thank goodness for Chong's. Last year I lost a good 20 lbs and rather than buying a new wardrobe right away, I took my pants/trousers to get them taken in and hemmed. The woman who runs Chong's is very friendly and skilled and gets things done in a timely manner. She literally did everything perfectly. For as long as she stays open, I will continue to take my items there when they need to get hemmed or altered. read more

Horrible customer service. The woman didn't even let me say a word when she was already saying she's too busy and can't take any work. She didn't even let me finish or asked me when I needed it by. Nothing. I honestly just needed her to adjust my baby girls Halloween dress (on the waist line) because it's too big. It's really unfortunate because she lost me as a customer. I had been here once before and even tipped the lady who assisted us last time really well, she was sweet! Older, Asian lady. I'm not sure if this was the same lady because she was rude from the very start. But she is also an older Asian lady, so not sure. Don't think I'll ever be stopping by here again. Next time, at the very least let your customers explain what they need done and by when. A little kindness goes a long way. read more

Chong's Alteration - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Torrance, California

I have been coming to her for alterations and repairs for about a year now and she is the best in town. I knew as soon as I saw how carefully she pins the hem of my pants, that she cares. The quality of her work is the best and is thoughtful about recommending how to fix things and is considerate of cost. She will also hand stitch delicate fabrics. Highly recommend. read more

Tip: You should call ahead to make an appointment. My mom found this alteration store by word of mouth. Without knowing anything about this business she decided to give this place a shot. She was requesting to get her dress altered for my wedding. The quality and value of this place is worth driving all the way here. Because my mom liked coming here so much, she recommended that I get my reception dress altered here. Even though the wedding was only to weeks away, she was able to finish on time. I wish that I got my wedding dress altered here ! It's a small store but if you are looking for good price, great alteration, and awesome customer service, look no further! This is the place for you :) read more

We fell in love with this cleaner's today! Driven by it 1000's of times and finally stopped by today! We walked in because we needed 7 pairs leggings taken in a bit at the waist. Ms Chong was amazing and offered to fix a pair of them right then and there. I took her less than 10 mins... You guessed it... Perfect fit! She saved me from having to drive 25 miles to return all the pants! We took her advice about the best way to do the alteration. We were thinking draw string or some elastic. She suggested she add a couple darts and take them in a couple inches... She had a fitting room and my wife was able to try them on right away. Super happy with Chongs Cleaner's! read more

Ever since I moved I've been looking for a tailor/dry cleaner that's close by and affordable. Chongs checked both of those boxes! I really like how fast they were able to do my tailor as well as providing a really cheap quote. She also handed me a stamp card for rewards after 10 visits. Really generous lady and helpful in getting my clothes the care it needs. read more

I have been here twice now, and I am very happy with the service, the quality of the job, and the prices. I came here with two suits. I have had the sleeves adjusted and the pant legs brought up to a half-break. She asked me if I wanted a normal no cuff look, or a cuff. She recommended a smooth look with no cuff for a younger guy. The pants on my first suit were too big, so the rear was redone. Now it fits me perfectly. Regular pant hem $8 Sleeves $15 You can see what an ace job the sleeve alteration was in the picture I am posting. read more

Came here because of her glorious reviews. Had a pile of dresses that needed to be hemmed & taken in...but, she was very uninterested in my business & even rudely commented that "this dress couldn't possibly fit" me!! No, I'm dead serious! She didn't say it once, but twice! RUDE & INSULTING! read more

Love her. She's so cute and nice. Will be coming here as long as I am in the South Bay!

Just got my sons jacket back and OMG what great work she did I will def be back if I ever need any other Alterations :) very friendly and warming read more

Hours not as advertised. Arrived on Friday at 9:55am. Doors locked; building closed. Not good.

So glad I found this place. Ms. Chong does excellent work at very fair prices and her turn time is quick if needed. I have had many pairs of pants altered here recently, some joggers that i had the cuff unattached, shortened and then reattached as well as normal hemming and her work is impeccable. She even was able to lengthen a couple pairs that another tailor made to short and fixed a hem on some jeans that someone had screwed up and now the finish and hang perfectly. I'd give her 10 stars if possible. While I do not use the cleaners there, it is nice that I can get something cleaned/pressed that has been altered. read more

Local dry cleaning service, I took two hoodies in for dry cleaning and came out looking like new Affordable prices and great service !

Chong's Alteration does an excellent job altering and dry cleaning clothing. I've taken my suits here to get tailored and have been coming here regularly to get them cleaned and pressed. They are very quick and their prices simply cannot be beat. read more

Chong is a genuinely nice and honest lady. I came in to alter a new suit I bought and while I thought it needed altering, Chong advised against it and told me the suit fit me just fine off the rack. She provides friendly customer service and takes time with her customers. I'll definitely be back to get my shirts cleaned and pants hemmed from her. read more

Incredibly friendly independently owned (womxn/POC) cleaner and alteration shop. We brought in several garments in need of repair and cleaning and were given pricing that competes with any other cleaners and likely even less. Mrs Chong is the kindest and clearly outlines the timeframe for her work. Pickup was a breeze and all garments are in excellent condition and workmanship. Keep supporting small! read more

Great service by Chong. I will definitely keep going back. She completed some great alterations on some Pendletons that I purchased too big and some uniform pants. Great service and work. read more

I was in a pinch, and I needed jacket sleeves and a pair of pants hemmed. Chong came to the rescue. At the time, I did not care about how much I was going to be charged because I just needed the job done quickly. Most people would be a little annoyed with the last minute requests that I had, and understandably so. However, she was extremely friendly and accommodating for me. I repeatedly apologized for the last minute nature of the job, and she simply smiled and said to me with a smile on her face, "Don't worry. It's my job!" With anything customer oriented, kindness always begets kindness. Chong's location is super convenient to me, fair and affordable prices, with all the kindness in world, and the skills to boot. What more could I have wanted? She definitely got herself a loyal customer in me. read more

I went to many different alteration stores to find a good price to get my prom dress hemmed. Every store I went to charged a ridiculous amount of money. Mrs. Chong's price was very affordable. Not only that, the hemming was wonderful. She uses a special design and I couldn't even tell the dress was altered. It looked like I got it right out of the store. She's also very friendly and accommodates well. I came in on a time restraint and she managed to finish earlier than what I'd hoped for. The store is very small, might miss it, but it's quality work for a really good price. Will definitely be back if I ever need anything else altered. Thank you Mrs. Chong! read more
