I had a very disappointing experience with Kim. I would put 0 stars if possible. When I asked for her professional opinion on whether to add darts or take in the sides of a garment, she ignored my questions. When I politely followed up, she was incredibly rude, telling me if I didn't like her work, I should go elsewhere. This follows a decline in quality; my last two alterations were poorly done, one had messy, "on-the-edge" stitching, and the other was taken in so poorly that the fabric flared out awkwardly. Between the rude attitude and the declining quality, I will not be returning. read more

Very very very overpriced. Charged $72 for 4 button holes and 4 buttons (2 dress shirts, 2 holes each). That's $36 per shirt. That's almost as much as the shirts cost. When I asked why so much (my husband dropped the shirts off), she said button holes are difficult. Ridiculous. read more

These ladies charge ridiculous pricing an didn't even do their job. I never leave reviews. I'm upset and disturbed on how they charge their clients. For a simple dress hemming she charge $50. To top it off, she cut the dress way too short. By an inch an half shorter than what we agreed on when we did the fitting prior to altering. On the second dress, was more work done, hemming length of dress with a little higher slit; take in the dress approx an inch an half on each side (original dress size 6, needed to be a size 4). She charged $140-145. She says because it's a two layers dress and it's a lot of work for her to do. So I agreed, and paid. When I got the dress back. She didn't take in anything. She ONLY hemmed the length of the skirt portion. She didn't adjust the back, the zipper was not touch. Nothing. It's really sad to experience service like this and meet dishonest owners. read more

Recently moved into the area from NorCal and needed 5 pairs of jeans hemmed since I'm a short person. I usually keep the original hem and it would only cost me $20 per pair for a hem when I used to live up in NorCal. I went to Kim's since it seems like a lot of people recommended them and said they were reasonably priced--boy was I wrong. The 5 pairs of jeans costed me $35 per pair, making my total $175. Some of the jeans had loose strands as well at the bottom of the hem. I should've just took my jeans and left when they told me the price but I just chalked it up and paid for them since I already tried them on and they pinned it. Definitely will be shopping around for a new tailor, probably will not come back. read more

Sujin is amazing! She's so nice and she did such a great job on the two wedding dresses I had. She even helped me to get them cleaned and pressed. My dress was a sample sale, so it was extremely delicate and had about 6 layers to it. It had an embroidered layer, the inside lining was falling apart, and the skirt had structured underskirts to give volume. This dress was also a size 10 and I needed to bring it down to a size 6. I had Sujin bring in the dress around the abdomen and adjust the sweetheart neckline as well. She knew to match the neckline and back so that nothing would be out of proportion. I also had her hem the skirt. She spent lots of hours and labor on this, but the dress looked good as new and she finished in time for the wedding. For my second dress, I had a silk dress that was delicate as well, for this i had her bring in the abdomen as well and the dress was perfectly tailored to me. She's so skilled! I would trust her with any of my alteration needs! Definitely call ahead to make an appointment! read more

Been to Kim's a handful of times over the last few years. It's convenient as they're located close to where I live. I've stopped in for well, what they specialize in... Alterations! I've had button up shirts and pants altered here. The ladies that I've interacted with here are all very friendly. Their unit is a bit cramped, especially if there're other customers inside, but no worries as they're efficient with getting customers in and out quickly. Every garment I've had altered has turned out exactly as expected. The pants I've had done here always come out great. If there's a hem in the pants, they always reuse the original. I've never had to return to have anything redone. I know they do suits and dresses as well. The price just like everything else these days currently has gone up quite a bit but, it's still worth it. Don't hesitate to bring any article of clothing you have needing alterations in! read more

I brought a wedding dress to Kim's Alterations which had very puffy sleeves that I wanted minimized. They were very nice and efficient and we scheduled a follow up fitting. They made three more adjustments before it was just right and I was very happy with the end result. The only thing that could have been improved is if I had been firmer about the first fitting being earlier on, since we were a little rushed at the end finishing the final details. They are very nice and do good work--it was always very busy when I went and I could tell they have many repeat customers! read more

I don't usually post a bad review, but was really unhappy with how I was treated. A few weeks ago now, i took in my wedding dress here to have a few alterations. They instead made all sorts of alteration suggestions. A lot of suggestions. In which I did not ask for. Just the length needed to be cut and my daughters selves of her dress shortened. When I asked how much it would be they quoted me $800. My dress was $60 off of amazon. This price included my daughters dress, that only needed 2 inches off the shoulders. They attempted to accommodate me by knocking off I think it was $100. When I declined saying again I'm sorry that's above my price range, they handed me my garments back but we're taking out the pins. I asked her for my daughter's dress so I could understand what I would need removed and she tried to yank it out of my hand. I of course yanked it back and took a picture. I feel like they handled rejection poorly. The only reason I went to someone other than my normal seamstress was due to timing issues. I will never make that mistake again because my normal trusted lady charged me a completely fair price and looked at my dress for half the time. I'm not sure why this business operates like this. But I would not recommend coming here and suggest shopping around before you pay an extreme amount of money. read more

I had a nylon sport jacket and a cuff was ripped from the sleeve when I was pulling it off my arm. Frankly, considering it was a nylon and threads completely sliced through it, I had very little hope that it could be fixed. These ladies did an amazing job for a very affordable price. Wow Susan saved my life haha. Had a disaster happen with my bridesmaid dress. They sent completely wrong measurements and wrong style of the dress I custom Designed. Don't ever buy a dress from Renzrags. Anyways, Susan was able to help me fix the problem in under a week. Did it perfectly and exactly to what I wanted.
