Popped in a day before a wedding I was attending. Yvonnes' alterations saved the day/the dress with the best heming of all time!! I had purchased a gown from saks a few days prior and needed alterations in a pitch. The night before going into Yvonne Alterations, I pinned the dress to where i thought the dress should end. Which was right above the bottom of the floor; slightly above where my heels touched the floor. When I arrived, around 10am, a gentleman and woman mentioned i should try on the dress w/ the heels i was going to wear to the event. To verify I was certain of the length of the gown. I agreed. Once it was on,w/ heels, they suggested a different slightly longer length. I miss pinned it to a slightly shorter lengths. Which in my opinion was the best thing to ever happen. If i would have not tried on the dress, &heels, i would left with a dress hitting way above my toes (weird length). When i came back around 4/5 pm, i tried on the dress, once again, and the length was just perfection. read more

I went to get 2 pairs of pants shortened and hemmed in early May 2026. The seamstress was busy away and her husband was the one who measured the length of pants and pinned the length. One pair of pants had a simple hem and was $14. The other pair were jeans from LG and the original cuff was not a simple fold and hem. The husband asked if I wanted to keep the original look as it was $25 instead of $14. I kept the original and he told me it would be about a week. They were a lot of other garments in the shop and so I could see why it would be awhile. I told him there was no rush because I think I had the jeans just sitting in my closet for a couple of years. He asked if I preferred a text or a call when they were done and he texted me they were done 4 days later. The pants fit great and was worth the price as I had asked what a few other neighborhood places what their costs would be and they were in the lower side. I would recommend the place but neither the seamstress or husband is named Yvonne. read more

Yvonne's alterations came in clutch when the in-house seamstresses from my wedding boutique were no longer available to assist me in altering my wedding gown. I had a much more difficult dress to alter (Maggie Sotterro Molly dress). My dress had an intricate lace pattern that needed to be hemmed at the bottom along with adjusting sleeves, adding bustling, and covering the bodice to make it more modest. She only had about a month to make the alterations but she pulled through! The dress came out amazing and I received so many compliments from it. GSR My body shape is not easy fit to any off-selves cloths and many time its requires extensive alterations. I have used a few tailor before I found her. She even fixed other tailors that made mistakes, but she made last minute alterations that need to be done by next day so. The quality of her work is impressive and professional. The lady fixed my wedding dress. It wasn't easy job as the material is all lace. I needed it to be hemmed and altered to my figure. She charged me twice less what other tailors asked. The lady is super nice but it is hard to communicate with her. The quality of work isn't the best. The dress was slightly big in hips, she fixed it but she didn't cut the extra material so it's visible since the material is lace. Also, I'm going to take it to another tailor as I found that a length of the dress isn't equal when I hang train on a bustle. read more

This place is the best! The nice lady fixed a major mistake made by another alteration shop. I had my new suit taken in so that I could have it before my interview. I took it to another alteration shop down the street and they totally did not do a good job. Although they had made some changes to the suit, something just didn't feel right when I put it on. So I looked for another shop to help me fix the problem. It turns out that the previous shop did not have a clue what they were doing. The lady at Yvonne's told me that they had previously did it the fast way and not the correct way. Instead of taking the taking the suit in from the sides, they just cut it straight from the back. This left the suit feel lopsided when I put it on. But the reason I give this place 5 stars is because she fixed the suit within two days right before my job interview.
