Purchased two pair of pants. One did not have the hook to fasten, further in it did have a button. I advised to take another pair that does not have this issue. Salesperson says "Don't worry, I guarantee it will be fixed". Was advised to come next day to pick up. Next day "We were busy, pants are not ready". Okay, I advise mom's funeral is tomorrow to stress the importance of completing on time, I rearrange a few things to accommodate. Pick up next day as instructed (2 hours after time given), again pants are not ready, have to wait a bit for them to finish up. Next day/Viewing day: Pull on pants, but hook is still missing. Had to only use button and all night I had to manage the pants folding over itself, not comfortable. Post Saturday funeral, take pants and ask to repair. Says come back tomorrow. Return next day and "Sorry, they are not ready". At this point it is already too many opportunities to do your job satisfactorily. I advised, please I do not wish to be upset, can you please advise a good date that this will be taken care of. He again says "Tomorrow, I guarantee it". Ridiculous statement at this point, then proceeds to tell me, "why make a bid deal about a hook. I said I will fix it!". I advised that I just need a good date for pick up, I do not wish to keep driving out for your mistakes and he repeats "It's just a hook!". And yes, I explained the importance of the pants and timing since the beginning and did not ask for anything out of the ordinary or special. The lack of understanding the importance of simply performing services that were prepaid is sad, but the unaccountable tone, attitude and actions are simply pathetic. For me this place/person was extremely poor service. And then to top off his incompetence, as I repeated - Please, just give me a good date, it can be three days or a week from now, I only ask for a good date. He says "Tomorrow" and I say okay. He then starts telling me "Have a blessed day!" (repeated 3x) with a tone and attitude of - F/off. I walked away before I also became upset and verbally sarcastic or deal out his passive aggressive b.s. Next day, my wife advised she will pick up and for me to avoid this person's attitude. Picks up pants, guy hands over bag and then as she opens bag to verify work was done, the guy then tells her "It was fixed!" and starts giving her disgusted looks for verifying that the work has finally been done. Visiting one shop 5 times for over one pair of pants. Again, extremely poor attitude, work ethic, and customer service. read more

I can't say enough good things about Pierre and just how much he was able to help me out of a serious bind! _________ + With just over a week until my buddy's wedding, I needed to have a suit altered so that it would better fit my body type. Off-the-rack, the jacket and pants that I bought were just too long for me. Leave it to Pierre and Alfa Moda to make sure that my suit was tailored to my specifications - the alterations were made with both exemplary timeliness and attention-to-detail. In fact turnaround time on my "rush" order took about five days (but keep in mind that this was borne out of necessity - so not sure if these types of requests can always be accommodated!) + Honesty and integrity go a long way with me. With that in mind, I was grateful that Pierre happened to notice that I had received the wrong suit jacket size as part of my online order (disclosure: the suit was ordered from another store, I brought it to Alfa Moda for tailoring). While Pierre could've easily gouged me with a laundry list of modifications for that original oversized suit jacket (and honestly, I'd never have known), he instead pointed out the error in my order, and I was able to exchange the jacket for the correct size. (Naturally, the alterations to the second jacket were much less of a budget-buster!) + I couldn't be more impressed with the tailoring job that Pierre and his team did. In spite of the quick turnaround, the suit's fit and overall shape was much more in-tune with my weight/height. His tailor's adjustments made me look like less of a child dressed up in his Dad's suit and more like a full-fledged, functional adult (though looks can be deceiving!). I've been to many tux and suit stores but this one is by far the best. This place has everything you need if you're looking to get a quality tux or suit. For one thing Pierre is an EXPERT tailor and he correctly sized me up the moment I walked in. Most places I've been to the "tailors" just wrongly guess my size and say I look good in whatever they got me even if the suit they got me was clearly oversized. This place is different, Pierre will be honest with you and get you looking the best you can with his expertise. He's not only an expert but he also genuinely cares about customer service. I say this because I was in a pinch and I needed to get an entire tux jacket/shirt/pants/shoes outfit for a wedding the NEXT DAY as a groomsmen and he accommodated me by getting the alterations finished within 3 hours of my visit. It was less than a week before Christmas and I needed to complete an outfit for going to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. This was when I met Pierre. I already had a bag full of shopping from some other places in the mall but, by the time I walked out of Alfa Moda I was heading to do returns. I ended up with some really great deals... For example, I purchased a pair of Stacy Adams black and white wingtips - the type that has the high gloss finish. Stunning! Also on tap was a pinstripe suit, sans the shirt, tie and socks. Pierre suggested that I purchase a vest as well to match but, I DID NOT LISTEN TO HIM. Once I got back to Florida, I knew he was right so, I ordered one and he shipped it to me. From here on out I listen to Pierre. PERIOD. SIDE NOTE: Most of the time when you are traveling, either on business or pleasure - and you get the chance to shop in a mall - that's usually all that comes of it . Your interaction ends with the receipt. Not in this case. I made it a point to call Pierre from time to time, usually when I was putting on a suit for going to a show. this guy is good and there was no way that I want him to forget how appreciative I have been. That night, in December 2012, he stayed late he made sure that my trousers were perfect and the overall fit and look was as best as it could be. Heck, he even sold me perfect hat. Now, fast-forward to 2016. Since I keep in touch with Pierre, he's familiar with who I am. So when I called him from a town about 30 minutes away, instead of more than 2500 miles away, he was glad to learn that I would be coming in to browse and, yes, shop once again in his store. So there I was, March 2016 again I am in Alfa Moda and again I purchased a pair of Stacy Adams shoes. This time I went with the black suede. I put them on and they felt so good that I wore them out of the store. Actually, kept them for the rest of the night. They were perfect. Four days later, I again put them on. Still no period of break in. This is why I swear by the Stacy Adams brand and knowing that Alfa Moda knows this too, I have NO PROBLEM continuing to pledge my loyalty to Pierre and his shop. read more

Sit down and I'll tell you about the heroics of Pierre. My best friend was getting married. We had gone to The Black Tux for a fitting not once but TWICE. Once our suits arrived, we were in shock. The suits were so poorly fitting that we looked like part of the 2003 NBA draft class. With two weeks left until the big day, we were wondering who could salvage such a fiasco of formal attire. The groom walked into Alfa Moda one Saturday morning, and the rest was history. He told me there was a man by the name of Pierre who instantly knew what was wrong with the rental suit and the remedy for the right suit. I couldn't believe it and had to take a trip to meet the legend himself. Once I was there, Pierre handed me a suit that was nearly a perfect fit (without measuring!) and educated me on the material and fit of his suit versus the rental. I noticed the difference and immediately felt better. The price to buy was even cheaper than renting from The Black Tux, and Pierre had it ready within 5 days of my fitting! The groom and I ended up returning the rental from The Black Tux and buying the suit from Pierre, not just for the big day but to keep for eternity. Not all superheroes wear capes.
