Lina altered my wedding dress this spring and I had a nice experience. At my first appointment, she meticulously pinned and made sure everything looked the way I wanted. She even paid special attention to my unique bust of the dress, which I had a hard time finding a bra for, and gave me suggestions for bras. She also has good attention to detail - she noticed that a small chunk of the seam of my bust was showing (like that from the shop) and she added a leaf of lace from my gown onto the bust to hide it, all without me even asking and I loved that. Parking here is kind of confusing. Street parking is easiest as the lot only has a few spots and is shared with a few other businesses. I also didnt like the dressing room - it was cramped and had some junk stored in there, which didnt make me feel very bridal as I was trying to put my dress on for her. It's a tiny shop - no bells and whistles, so it is what it is. But Lina is detailed and kind and I felt prices were fair. I spent about $650 - waist and bust taken in, adding a bustle, and shortening length were the three major changes though she also did some smaller tweaks. We were in town for a wedding this week and I got a last minute dress I loved and inquired with my sister-in-law for a good alterations person who might be able to hem a formal dress last minute. She recommended Lina's Alterations since that is where my whole family got their formal dresses altered. I called Lina and although she had a super busy week, she told me to come in and she would take a look at the dress. So I did just that. The location is hidden away so it was a little hard to find. It's located between a massage salon and an empty jiu jitsu location. Look for the big brown "Walteria Plaza 24431" on the wall and the alterations space is right next to it. The massage spot is Siam Wala Thai Massage at 24433. Just another landmark if you have a hard time finding the alterations place. I dropped off my dress and Lina said she would work hard to get it to me ASAP. I told her I would be happy to pay extra for the rush fee and the fact that she is being accommodating. The next day, my dress was done and I went to pick it up. She only charged me for the alterations, $45 for the hem. That's a bargain. The dress is fancier so I'm sure it took more work. And the material was chiffon which is so delicate. Lina did an amazing job in such little notice. She was amazing and so very nice to help me in such a last minute bind. Thank you Lina. I had my wedding dress altered by Lina for my wedding in Spring of 2025, and Lina did a great job! My dress was the Jenny Yoo Caleb dress, and I needed it to be hemmed and a bustle added. Lina was very kind throughout the whole process! Three fittings were included and Lina cleanly hemmed the dress and tapered the sides to keep the length of the original train. Lina patiently showed me all of the different bustle options, and we went with a one point bustle because it looked the cleanest. The space and fitting rooms are a little small, so it doesn't necessarily have a bridal feel, and parking can be tricky if the front spots are not available, so I would just recommend street parking. Her & her daughter are really kind people, and every fitting was such a pleasant experience. She was able to take in my dress so that it fit me like a glove, add cups, and create the most perfect bustle! I loved the bustle so much that I almost preferred it to the long train of the dress! :) Not only was Lina quick to get the dress to the perfect look (first fitting, 2nd fitting & final try-on!), but she was wonderful to work with & reasonably priced. I got two dresses altered with Lina for an event. I needed the straps taken in and the bottom of the dress had to be hemmed shorter. She also gave me helpful tips on how to comfortably wear the dress during my event. Very happy with the results! Lina was very accommodating and very transparent about when it would be finished. My fitting was quick and easy. I love that she schedules appointments to make it easy for everyone. Would recommend. Parking is in the same lot as the massage place, if you need help finding it. I would not recommend for wedding dress. Sofia bella bridal highly recommended Linas alterations. Sadly to say I was disappointed. Ruined my wedding dress. I took the dress to several places after to try to fix it but they said since the length was cut exactly to my ankles before the trim that If they removed the horse tail trim, the dress would be short. The length was too long. Instead of removing the horsetail trim(by unsewing it) , cutting the dress to length and then re-sewing the trim to the correct length with an invisible thread, Lina decided to cut the horse tail trim that was still attached to the lace and then cut the dress to length and reattach it with a white thread.(not even off white thread). So since my dress was lace, the bottom did not match the top patterns. It look like a complete disaster On a side note i needed cleavage coverage and she just left the added piece flapping and also did not fix the line of the v-shape so it just looked like a Mickey mouse add on I went to another person to have it fixed and they added more application to make it blend and now everything looks fine. We couldn't save the trim of the dress so we just covered the harsh line with beads Customer service. Lina responded to texts at a decent time but shes too busy to remember anyone's appointments even though she writes them down on her work calendar. I waited an hour for her to show up and she blamed me for not calling her a day before to confirm? It should be the other way around. Ontop of that I called her earlier that week to confirm and she did. read more

I went here for a quote for bridal dress alteration. She knows a lot about bridal dresses however, her shop is not an ideal shop for white dresses. It is dirty and real dusty. I went there with a new white garment bag on my dress, while I was fitting on the dressing room, I am not sure how she did not noticed but she just rolled her chair on my garment bag. I ended up with a real dirty garment bag and the train on my dress got real dirty too. I did not continue doing bridal alterations with her. If she can't take care of a simple bag, how much more my dress. I wouldn't trust her with a more important thing. read more

I bought a dress last minute and needed it altered. I chose this place since it was close to where I lived and seemed to have good reviews. I recognize part of it is my fault since I neglected to ask her how much it would cost until she had basically spent a half hour pinning my dress after which I felt bad and let her have the job, but it seemed a little exorbitant. It was a simple flowing dress with an empire waist that I paid less than $100 for, but was charged $150 (later changed to $140 after I protested) to take 2" off the simple hem and for some alterations to the bust since I'm small-chested. Again, totally understand that a lot of work goes into alterations, every piece of clothing is different, etc...just felt annoyed and bitter that I paid more for alterations than for the dress itself when I didn't ask for anything more intense like sleeves, lace, sequins, etc. read more

I reached out to Lina through the Yelp messaging option a few months ago and she responded very quickly, even made it easy to make an appointment with her through the chat. I took my dress in and made sure to let her know I needed it to be much shorter as I'm only 5'0 and I needed it taken in a bit from the bust. She was very nice, placed the needles all around to have me check for desired length. Super quick and easy! She gave me the receipt with a price to pay upon pick up and gave me a date for pick up. She asked me to call her a few days before pick up just to confirm the date and time of pick up so I did just that. Pick up was very easy and quick. Tried the dress on and it was perfect. She accepts zelle and Venmo as form of payment. I definitely recommend Lina for dress alterations. I didn't bring my dress in a bag or on a hanger, but she handed it back to me on a hanger and plastic cover which was much appreciated. Horrible. I was really hoping she would do a great job based off of some of the previous reviews on here, but that was not the case. I felt like the whole time I was there I was getting attitude from her, not very friendly. She hemmed a wedding guest dress I needed done and when I went to pick it up she didn't even have it done correctly. It was altered and hemmed totally uneven and she had to make me wait while she fixed it. Even after that once I got home it still wasn't even correct but I was not going to go back and have her mess it up even more. I didn't even end up wearing it to the wedding because of how bad it looked. She way overcharges as well for bad work. Almost 50 bucks to shorten a dress that wasn't even that hard to do? I was referred to Lina by Sophia Bella bridal for my heavily beaded, sequin, and lace wedding dress. The location of the shop itself can be difficult to find as it is tucked away in a small block of apartments but is a common occurrence for businesses in the area. She communicated everything with me from the beginning and made sure I was happy with the alterations, bustle placement, neckline, and height of the dress. I called Lina to ask if it's possible to open up my wedding dress that I wore (before baby) seven years ago. I am thinking about wearing my original wedding dress for a vow renewal next year (June 2022). She said it's possible to open up my dress a size. Since I have over 6 months before the date, this gives me time to try to lose 10 pounds in order to fit into the dress. If it doesn't happen, I can always go back to Lina. She gave me an affordable estimate for opening the sides of the dress (plan A) and if worse comes to worse, maybe a corset in the back (she said that option will be more expensive but it's the last resort). I'll get back to her next year in February-March to see if I need alterations on my dress. She's a very nice lady and I'll think about coming back even if it's not for my wedding dress. read more

Lina is great - we just discovered her earlier this year and we had a bunch of alterations for a cruise we were going on for spring break. Lina altered so much stuff for my daughter and I - from evening dresses to rompers. My husband also ended up taking a bunch of shirts to her to have them taken in.
