Monet Kim helped me with altering the length of my wedding dress. She was able to do it in 2 weeks and she was the only tailor that picked up the phone on a Sunday. I was frantic to find a place to alter my wedding dress as it was only a month before wedding but she was able to do it soon. I am very appreciative for this quick turnaround!

I had my heart set on wearing my Aunt's wedding dress for my special day. It was both cost effective, and holds sentimental value to the family but I was nervous about the fit. The dress was too big in the bust and waist, and needed some alterations to the train. Compared prices at a few local alteration shops. Best Tailor was able to give me the best price, but above that, I got the feel that they really specialized in wedding dresses and I trusted they would not ruin the dress. They finished the job ahead of schedule AND got it right the first time around. If you need a wedding dress altered, these guys know what they're doing!

I was in a pinch because my wedding was just a few weeks away and I needed alterations on my dress! The dress itself was beautiful with a lot of detailing and beadwork. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to get my dress tailored properly. A couple places I talked to said they would not be to do the work by the date I needed it. I called Jenny at Best Tailor and she told me not to worry and come in for a fitting. When I brought my dress in I noticed that a lot of care and thought had gone into remodeling the whole place. Jenny and her staff were accommodating, kind, and efficient throughout the entire process. They did an amazing job at taking in my dress at the waist/bust and also shortening the length of my dress to make sure my dress didn't drag with my flats. I was so satisfied with the quality of work done on my dress that I asked Jenny and her staff if they could do some minor alterations on my wedding party's tuxedos and bridesmaid dresses. They were able to accommodate our needs and timeline. I have been a regular at Best Tailor since! Highly recommend.

I never been to a professional tailor, just kept going to the dry cleaners with the quick alteration.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel obligated…read moreto share it. I brought in several Crate & Barrel curtain panels valued at approximately $900 for dry cleaning. Because of the cost of the curtains and the fact that they were in excellent condition, I specifically asked the owner, Sam, about potential risks before signing the waiver. During that conversation, Sam told me that pilling was a possibility, but he also stated that he had never personally encountered a situation where a customer's curtains experienced an adverse outcome from the cleaning process. He reassured me that everything would be fine. At no point did he mention shrinkage as a potential risk. That distinction is important because if I had been informed that shrinkage was a realistic possibility, I would not have proceeded with a nearly $400 dry-cleaning service on $900 curtains. I would have simply replaced them. Unfortunately, after cleaning, the curtains no longer matched in length. Panels that previously pooled slightly on the floor are now hanging approximately 3-5 inches above the floor, and the lengths appear inconsistent from panel to panel. In addition, the curtains appear to have been pressed improperly. The fabric no longer hangs straight. Instead, the sides appear narrower near the top and wider near the bottom, creating a noticeable billowing or hourglass effect. When I raised this concern, Sam acknowledged that the pressing issue was human error. I should note that I was unable to pick up the curtains for approximately a month due to a medical emergency. However, the condition of the curtains upon pickup does not change the fact that the shrinkage and pressing issues occurred during the cleaning and finishing process. What ultimately prompted this review was not just the outcome, but how the situation was handled. I spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone with Sam attempting to discuss the issue calmly and professionally. Rather than addressing the specific concerns I raised, he repeatedly insisted that I had been warned, despite the fact that shrinkage had never been mentioned. The conversation frequently drifted into broad generalizations about waivers and customer responsibility rather than the specific facts of what had been disclosed to me before I signed. When I explained that there is a meaningful difference between being warned about pilling and being warned about shrinkage, he maintained that shrinkage fell under the general umbrella of possible damage and that he could not be expected to list every potential outcome. I disagreed. When a customer specifically asks about risks, they deserve enough information to make an informed decision. I also found it unreasonable that I was told I could receive either a $50 accommodation for the shrinkage issue or have the curtains re-pressed to correct the acknowledged pressing error--but not both. These are two separate issues. One relates to the cleaning outcome, while the other relates to admitted workmanship during finishing. Perhaps most disappointing was being told that providing any additional accommodation would essentially amount to "running a charity instead of a business." After spending nearly $400 on the service and receiving curtains that no longer fit or hang properly, that comment felt dismissive and unnecessarily insulting. Had Sam simply acknowledged that shrinkage should have been discussed, shown some empathy, and worked collaboratively toward a reasonable solution, I likely would not be writing this review. Instead, I was left with damaged curtains, no meaningful resolution, and a conversation that left me feeling unheard and blamed for an outcome I specifically tried to avoid by asking questions upfront.

They guided me every step of the way, kept me updated, and were always responsive via text, which made everything feel so easy and stress-free. I had purchased a gown from saks a few days prior and needed alterations in a pitch. The night before going into Yvonne Alterations, I pinned the dress to where i thought the dress should end. Which was right above the bottom of the floor; slightly above where my heels touched the floor. When I arrived, around 10am, a gentleman and woman mentioned i should try on the dress w/ the heels i was going to wear to the event. To verify I was certain of the length of the gown. I agreed. Once it was on,w/ heels, they suggested a different slightly longer length. I miss pinned it to a slightly shorter lengths. Which in my opinion was the best thing to ever happen. If i would have not tried on the dress, &heels, i would left with a dress hitting way above my toes (weird length). When i came back around 4/5 pm, i tried on the dress, once again, and the length was just perfection.
