This is the best dog walker in Chicago!! We have large dogs and one that can be difficult at times to allow others to walk her. Danny, Kim, and Liz have all been wonderful taking care of them. We are now moving and I hope to find another walker as good as Kim has been. Thank you for everything, you will be the first call if we ever move back! Thank You! read more

So I fell down a mountain. True story. Broken leg, cast, surgery, all that good jazz. Needless to say, I can't so much walk, let alone walk our dog right now. To the internets to search for a dog walker! One email to Kim, a response within two hours, some details about Kaspar and timing, and Alessandra was here the very next day. My dog has decided Alessandra is his new girlfriend and now spends the time it takes Alessandra to get upstairs sitting by my front door shrieking with excitement. If it weren't frowned upon by society, I get the feeling Alessandra would do the same. It's clear she loves our little dude. And he loves her. He gets his little midday walk in with someone who really enjoys him, I don't have to accidentally fall down three flights of stairs to let him out. It's a win-win. read more

Kim Walks Dogs - I mean, look at this guy. That's the face of a happy pup. - Dog Walkers Near Me

Kim is an excellent communicator and very reliable. She and her team clearly love what they do and our dogs loved their walker. Highly recommend Kim's service! read more

UPDATE: While definitely disappointed to hear that our dog was being taken to the local community garden and let free to run around, and not "walked" per se (as mentioned below), I am changing the stars on this review to 3 because of kims follow up and customer service. She has let me know that the walker mentioned has been let go, and that she was shocked to hear of it. I realize that it is hard to find the right people to walk your dog, and appreciate her response and attention to our concerns, long after the fact. Thank you Kim for your actions - updated 10/15/13 --------------------- Original review: We were with Kim Walks Dogs for a couple months, joined because of reviews on yelp. So many to choose from so you really don't know until you try. We quit a couple months ago because we did not think the service was worth the expense of (after a price raise or two, I can't remember how many) what turned out to be $16/ walk. In addition to being constantly reminded about the weekly payment, and late fees being threatened, our neighbors reported that one of our dog "walkers" sat on the park bench while the dog sniffed around and peed in our community garden. We trusted that our dog was getting exercise daily, yet could not figure out why he was gaining weight... There are plenty of other services out there, make sure you really ask about the kind of exercise your dog will be getting. read more

When we first got our puppy, Wilson, we had no idea what we were getting into. He was 8 weeks old and hyper as can be (and still is!). That's when Kim came into the picture. At this point, we were still figuring out how to be dog owners. One day, two weeks into adopting Wilson, we ran into Kim in the neighborhood. She immediately focused on him and told us about her services, etc. Within days, Kim came for an official meet and greet so that we can make sure Wilson was in good hands. Our pup immediately warmed up to her (and started grabbing mouthfuls of hair)! Kim took it all in stride and at that moment, we knew she was the one for him. In the past year and a half, Kim has truly impressed us. She helped us socialize our pup in addition to helping him learn how to walk. She also keeps us updated with pictures during the walk and leaves us fun notes from the perspective of Wilson each day afterwards. (If you haven't already, I would check out her Facebook or Instagram - it's definitely a highlight of my day to check out all of the pictures of the satisfied pups.) Outside of walks, we have used Kim for overnight services for whenever we are out of town. I remember for our first trip, we were freaking out on leaving Wilson and did not want to board him. We contacted Kim and she ensured that a walker stayed overnight with Wilson so that he had someone to cuddle with at night. Now, whenever we plan to go out of town, we always contact Kim. Also, I cannot say enough on how much Kim truly cares about her clients with her business. I know that she makes it a point to seek out only the best walkers to be a part of her team. We've absolutely loved everyone that has walked Wilson - from Kim to Gracie to Andre and then Nick. With all the people that use Kim's services in Logan Square, I know that sometimes it can be a bit difficult for whoever is walking Wilson that day because he'll inevitably run into Kim or Gracie or Andre or Nick and freak out from excitement. The fact that Wilson has loved everyone that has been a part of Kim Walks Dogs really allows me to fully trust and support Kim's business decisions. Kim is extremely flexible and I know that she always exhausts her options to make sure that our pup is taken care of. There have been a handful of times that I've had to ask for a walk last minute, and she has always delivered. Kim is always the first person we reach out to for dog advice and after having her in such a pivotal role in Wilson's life, we are happy to say that she is now a part of our family. You will definitely never regret the decision to go with Kim for your pups (or kitties!). I cannot recommend her enough. read more

I had been interested in hiring a dog walker for months but I had so many questions? How do I know they actually walk for the full time or can I trust some stranger in my apartment. Well Kim and her professionalism put me at ease quickly. As soon as I emailed her she responded promptly explaining cost and how everything works. She set up a meeting with Chris who I and my pup molly immediately felt comfortable with. It's been 3 weeks now and I know this will be a great long time relationship! They leave little notes telling me how the dog walk went and what they did. They even send photos of molly on her walks! Chris even goes above and beyond to turn on Children's movies (as molly loves them) before he leaves! I am Sooo happy I found them! read more

I was really reluctant to find a dog walking company for about 3 years because my dog can be such a jerk to other dogs. I finally decided to search Yelp and found Kim Walks Dogs. I explained how my girl is the sweetest in the world to people, but needs someone strong and not afraid of hurting her feelings and putting her in her place. Kim was more than understanding and assured me that dogs are always walked individually and cautiously. Now, my girl is the happiest dog in the world! She gets excited when Andre walks her (I mean, she loves him) and ACTUALLY is nicer to other dogs than she used to be. I don't know what kind of magic Kim sprinkles on her walkers, but I know that at least half of the people in my neighborhood use Kim Walks Dogs and love it as much as I do! I know this sounded a bit like a formal advertisement, but it's not! I just love how well Kim runs her business! read more

Nothing but good things to say about Kim, her business, and her love of animals. I was referred to Kim Walks Dogs by an old friend, and couldn't be happier. She is willing to accommodate to any schedule and helps out with more than just dogs. I know my animals are well taken care of and loved when I am away. Thank you, Kim! read more

Kim and our walker Alicia have been absolutely amazing! Kim came through for us on short notice when signing up for the service and has been flexible and understanding of our crazy schedule and constant changes ever since. Our dog and cat love Alicia and she always goes above and beyond to make them feel loved and cared for when we are not home (as is also obvious in the constantly diminishing treat stash and their affection toward her every time she comes over). Highly recommend! read more

Kim was referred to us by a friend who absolutely raved about her. When she came over to meet our cocker spaniel, they instantly bonded and it was apparent that Kim has a warm and caring demeanor and loves dogs! She takes her passion for pets and gives the best care and service to our four legged "fur baby". Kim is extremely responsive to emails and texts and is very reliable! Having a dog walker should be "peace of mind" to know your pet is in great hands and that's what we have with Kim. The best part is coming home to a note letting us know how the walk went and often receiving a photo from their walk - it's heartwarming! We would recommend Kim to anyone! Amy T. read more

we have been using kim walks dogs for about 8 months, and we couldn't be happier. Riley LOVES her walker Emme. She is always so well taken care of, and Emme takes the best pictures of her. We also get a cute note each day about how everything went. Kim is super responsive and accommodating about scheduling etc. We wouldn't let just anyone care for our pup, and these guys definitely make the grade. read more

I can't recommend Kim and her team of walkers enough. Any email/text/phone call will be responded to within 30 minutes or less. We have worked with several dog walking companies and Kim's is 100% the best. Everyone that works for her genuinely cares about your pet and will go out of their way to make sure the process is as seamless as possible. read more

Kim Walks Dogs is a great company and we are so sad that don't service the area where we moved. Kim is extraordinarily organized and accommodating and her walkers/sitters clearly love dogs, are reliable, and truly seem to care about your pet like their own. We had Mike and Alicia as our primary walkers and have also used Alicia for overnights stays when we have gone on vacation; I'm pretty sure our dog may like Alicia more than he does me or my husband! I would highly recommend Kim Walks Dogs to anyone who wants the best care for their pets... read more

I have VERY high standards and expectations for not only myself but for my precious pup Atlas, Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poople mix) and she manages to surpass them and impress me on a daily basis. Since the pup was 4 mos old, I've had Kim come twice a day and she text often times with a adorable pic of my boy. It makes me feel reassured (ultimately less guilty) that my boy is taken well care of while I'm at work. She also leaves behind a cute / funny note on the counter with a summary of the daily potty 1 & 2 activities. New to Chicago as well as new to owning a puppy, I consider her my most valuable resource and a part of my extended family. She is my first call if I need help with Atlas. She always answers and accommodates my requests. Lastly and most importantly....TRUST is the most important favor when considering a dog walker not only for the proper care of your dog but the access you give them to your home when your gone. Kim allows me to feel freedom from worry. I can't put a price on the service and solace she provides. Thank you Kim! read more

I've been using Kim's dog walking services for about 3 months now. My greyhound Dale and I live in Avondale and our previous dog walker didn't tell us they didn't serve our area until after we moved! I was in a scramble to find a new walker and Kim was the first person I called. With a few other greyhounds on the routes of some of her walkers, I felt completely at ease leaving Dale in her care. Dale loves his walker Paul, especially because of his patience. Dale can be stubborn because he loves sleeping and isn't crazy about walks. But he loves getting treats and attention from Paul, and any other walker that might stop by. Kim is always flexible with my ever-changing schedule and always willing to help me figure out ways to schedule in new walks that I might need to add last minute. I think we'll be in Avondale for a while, and hopefully Kim's dog walking services will be always be a part of our time here! read more

If there was a special 6-star rating for extraordinary people, Kim would get it. As other reviews have mentioned, she is responsive, caring, and responsible. She loves your dog like he or she is her own. She keeps in touch with pictures and videos of your pooch, which I really appreciate. I have used Kim's dog walking and sitting services for a few years now, and wanted to applaud Kim for one extra service that she provides--jumping your car! When I left home for the weekend last week, my car battery was dead, and a new "no parking tow zone" sign had been posted above my parking spot--just as I was leaving for the airport. After I left, Kim offered to jump my car, managed to get it started, and moved it to a safe spot. I bet there's no other dog walking service in Chicago that would do that! Her fellow walkers and sitters are terrific too. 6 stars even without the car-starting service! read more

I have an old, difficult dog who has been banned from several friends' homes and two dog groomers (but he's nice to me). I was in a pinch and found Kim through Yelp. She's one of the few people my dog has never growled at or tried to bite! And she sends pictures every time she stops in. read more

I have been working with Kim and her amazing walkers for just about a year. Kim is beyond responsive and communicative about shifts with her walkers and scheduling. Her team is awesome and I fully trust them with my 10-year old Westie. I've recommended a few of my colleagues to Kim and they have all been incredibly impressed. read more

Kim is the only person we trust with walking our dog. She puts every worry at ease, and is truly passionate about what she does. We treat our Pomeranian as if she's our first born child, and we feel so lucky we have found someone we can trust to give her the level of affection and care that she deserves when we are away. Kim has a true bond with our dog and I can tell that she misses her on the days we don't have her scheduled. Highly recommend!! read more

Kim is wonderful! I used to own a pet sitting company so I have very high standards...but she meets and exceeds them! She is perhaps one of the most responsive pet sitters I ever met, which means a lot when you worry like I do about my fur babies :) read more

I have been using Kim Walks Dogs since around April 2016. Our dog walker Alicia comes and visits my bulldog Fitz everyday and even drives him to doggy daycare on Wednesdays! Fitz is an English bulldog so he doesn't do too much walking so Alicia works with his stubborn personality and mostly takes him to potty, cuddles, gives belly rubs, and gives treats and freshens his water bowl. It is so nice as everyday I get a note "from Fitz" after every visit telling me how he was that day and if he went #1 or #2. Fitz can be stubborn and sometimes may have an accident but Alicia is always so nice and cleans it and doesn't complain. Kim is great and easy to work with too in terms of scheduling. I've had last minute work dinners pop up or changes to my schedule & she is always quick to reply and very accommodating! Payment is also affordable and easy to pay via Venmo app. They often take a weekly picture so you can see how your pet is doing too..which is always so cute! We love "Kim Walks Dogs"! read more

Kim Walks Dogs is amazing! Kim is always available via email and responds quickly. We adopted a dog in January who is nervous around strangers and other dogs, but otherwise a sweet boy. Elena has taken care of him three times a week and I have always felt totally confident in trusting her with Chester's care. Kim clearly loves animals and hires people who do too, so I trust her and her team. We highly recommend Kim and her team for you and your pet read more

Kim helped me out at the last minute when I needed a dog walker for a week. She was wonderful. Completely professional, flexible, and easy to work with. My dog ADORES her. I have a high anxiety boxer who can be a bit squirrely when first meeting people, but the instant she met Kim, she crawled into her lap and just wanted to cuddle. You can tell that Kim is a dog lover because dogs respond immediately to her and love her. Additionally, Kim didn't just take my dog out to go to the bathroom, she gave my dog a good workout-type walk, which I highly appreciated. I'd highly recommend Kim Walks Dogs to anyone. She's great with the dogs and completely trustworthy. read more

A long overdue review for an absolutely fantastic dog care company! Since moving to Chicago Kim and her team of amazing walkers and sitters have treated my two dogs with the greatest care. Kim walks my pups daily and provides sitting services as I often travel. She is always responsive, flexible and responsible. Kim manages everything smoothly with email, texts and calls. I love how the walkers keep me updated with photos while I'm away and messages when I get home. Kim has saved me many times when I am in a bind! I don't have enough good things to say about Kim- highly, highly recommended. read more

Kim Walks Dogs - Walkers provide updates of each walk on a board Kim provides and sometimes artwork if you're lucky! - Dog Walkers Near Me

I can't speak highly enough about my experience with Kim and how she runs her business. We've been using Kim Walks Dogs now for a couple of months and we couldn't be happier. I'll be honest, I don't have much experience with other dog walkers or dog walking companies and quite frankly, I really hope I don't ever need to shop around. I've found her prices to be reasonable and fair, your designated dog walker leaves a note about how the days walk was on a white board that was provided by Kim AND they take pictures of your pup which she'll send to you personally or post on Instagram. I also absolutely ADORE our dog walker Andrew. I was initially a bit concerned when looking for someone to walk my 75lb Dogo Argentino/Pit mix because we had just recently rescued him and needed a walker who had a bit of experience managing a big, loveable doofus who was learning manners, leash walking skills and overall obedience and seriously, Andrew has been an absolute blessing. He also has 2 large dogs, one of them being a Pit and so he just gets it. I've never had to worry about our dog with Andrew - he always come within the 2 hour time frame we've set up, his notes on the days walk are hilarious and always make me smile when I get home after a long day at work and most importantly, I know our dog is genuinely being cared for. Over the past couple of months I've had a few last minute [really last minute] walking request's and Kim has always gone above and beyond to see if she can accommodate us and more often than not, she finds a way to work us into her schedule. And if she just can't do it she's honest and upfront about it right away. She's always been reachable by phone, text or email and let me tell you, she's responded to requests for walks via email more quickly than it has taken me to check out in line at Target. I'm not joking, this really did happen and I looked like a crazy person laughing in line because I almost didn't believe it. Selfishly I want to keep Kim and Andrew all to myself however I know that's unrealistic [and weird] but I wish nothing but the best for Kim and her small business venture, as I know Kim Walks Dogs is continuing to grow and it is beyond well deserved. read more

Kim Walks Dogs is the best! My boyfriend and I had never used a dog walking service before for our Sally Mae. When we asked our vet, Dr. Dylan at Blvd Vet, he recommended Kim Walks Dogs. She walks his dogs! That says a lot! Sally and I did a meet and greet with Liz, one of Kim's staff, and the rest is history. Sally loves her daily visits from Liz - seriously, I've been home before and her tail is going crazy as she jumps on her. I love that Sally is walked by the same person daily and I trust her in my home. Kim is completely flexible with schedule changes and the price is reasonable. I love my Sally picture updates on Monday and Thursday, and my daily Sally journal. I 100% recommend Kim Walks Dogs! read more

Kim is the best! My little girl, Chloe, LOVES Kim. I am so thankful to have such a helpful and reliable dog walker, it is so hard to find in the city. Kim has accommodated me on NUMEROUS occasions for last minute walks when things comes up. She is so flexible and does what ever she can to insure that Chloe is scheduled in for a walk when need be, even if it is at the very last minute. She also sends such an adorable update after each walk with a picture included. I look forward to this each week, because I can see how happy my little pup is with Kim. Chloe has also had the opportunity to socialize with another pup in my building that Kim also walks, which I really appreciate because Chlo is an only dog in our household so I really enjoy that she is socializing with other dogs. Kim also gives excellent advice on dog care when I need help with deciding on safe and healthy treats and chew bones. Overall, KIM IS THE BEST! I would be lost without her and she has certainly become a very important person to both myself and Chloe. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker in the city! :) read more

Hiring a new pet sitter can be a nerve-wracking leap of faith; but I found Kim mentioned with high regard on a Facebook neighborhood group, and she agreed to care for my pile of cats while I was on vacation. Kim was very responsive from the first time I contacted her. She communicated clearly about her availability and worked with me to draw up just the right schedule of visits. At our meet & greet she was understanding about all the different personalities and quirks in the bunch, and went out of her way to keep everyone comfortable. Kim personally provided photos and updates the whole time I was gone, and did a terrific job keeping me reassured. I arrived home to find the pets all healthy, comfortable and relaxed after their time in her care. In short: highly recommended, even if dog walks aren't what you need. I have used Kim's services for over a year both for daily walks and overnights. She is very professional, personable, very prompt and best of all my dog adores her! Kim has always been very accommodating to any last minute changes or requests I have had and that is rare to find these days with busy schedules. She truly does put her clients first. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for any pet services. Her passion and connection to animals would put any pet owner at ease knowing that they are safe and sound in her care. Kim is one of the hardest working entrepreneurs in the dog walking biz. She and her staff are so great to work with. If you are an animal lover and don't already follow her on Instagram, I suggest doing so. Her Thursday dog pics can bring a smile to your face on even the most rotten of bad days. I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review about Kim! She and her team are the absolute best dog care givers in the city. She and Danny have been taking care of my old man Scout for a few years now. He's a very 'special' dog in his old age and I would be lost without them to help. Scout has some cognitive dysfunction and has developed some anxiety related issues with other dogs and people. Kim and Danny are always so patient and kind to him. I always feel that he has a friend during the day that he looks forward to seeing which makes things so much easier because I know he's happy and comfortable. Kim and Danny are so intuitive with Scout and always know just what he needs and the let me know of the slightest changes in his demeanor and energy so I can better stay on top of his health. I have so much love and appreciation for them there aren't words! read more

You cannot put put a price tag on communication, professionalism and love when it comes to taking care of your pets - - and Kim possesses all three. This was the first time searching for a dog walker in the Chicago area, and proof that the top google results aren't necessarily the best. Kim had responded to my initial email in a matter of minutes and we set up a time for her to meet our shih tzu, Max. He instantly fell in love with her, and we knew she was the one! Kim is very friendly and attentive, and clearly has a love for animals. As well, we are out of Kim's normal area for dog walking, but she was more than willing to help out. She's great with communication, responding to emails and texts quickly, as well as sending pix messages while on her visit. If you're on the fence with who to take care of your pet, just set up a meet-n-greet with Kim, as you'll instantly know she's the one! Pros: - Kim loves animals, and treats yours like her own - Great communication is clearly important to her - Her prices are on-par, if not better than most - You KNOW who's taking care of your pet Cons: - Didn't find her sooner read more

I am a first time dog owner of a Goldendoodle (he is now 17 weeks old), If anyone knows anything about Goldendoodle's they are hyperactive and extreme ADD (kinda like me). Oliver is my world, and I would not trust him with many people. I was very hesitant of hiring a dog walker bc I thought they would not love him and take care of him like I di. Once I met with Kim, I knew she was going to be great! She listened to all my training cues, which was highly important to me. She also is very attentive when she walks him aka doesn't let him eat everything he sees. Not to mention she leaves VERY cute notes that make me laugh and make me feel at ease to know what happened on their walk. I can also text Kim anytime of day with questions concerning Oliver's nutrition/diet. I seriously cannot say enough! I HIGHLY reccommend her services to anyone who is looking for a dog walker that is as compassionate about their animal as they are! read more

Very impressed with the services that were provided for us and on such short notice! My gf and I have a 5yr old Shiba Inu named Buster we adopted. On short notice we had to leave to go out of town for an entire 24hrs. This is the first time we would not be able to bring Buster with us. We searched yelp for dog walkers and left voicemails on numerous dog walkers numbers. The only real response we got was from Kim and she responded right away! She was busy but still made the time for a meet n greet that very day and was taking care of our Shiba that very next day! Pricing was very reasonable and she even took care of feeding our two cats. She even sent pics while she was taking care of him :) This was our very first experience with a dog walking service and we couldn't be happier with the service we received from Kim. For us, there is no need for us to look for anyone else next time we need a dog walker :) read more
