My friend told me about this spot over a sesh so I decided after to satisfy my munchie craving . When I showed up I was a little confused at parking I guess u just find a spot and throw it in P. Inside it's very mom and pop ish few tables for you to dine clean and simple, good service straight to the point . I ordered the house fried rice it was bomb tasted fresh no hard rice or anything like that . I also ordered the beef kebab and it came with like a side of salad type stuff together it was the one! Tasted great and the meat was tender and juicy with the crisp from the salad paired well with a lil sriracha also . I also ordered this noodle with veggies and beef that's where they won me over tasted very authentic and flavorful they also hooked it up with a bone broth soup I never tried before super bomb the taste threw me way off as it was unexpected delicious. Definitely coming back .

Solid noodle spot. I haven't had their rice dishes. I need 85 characters to post this review

A sweet place to get comfort food. This local spot has been around for years. Even though it's new owners, it's still a great establishment with the same great taste and recipes. My favorite go-to is their Hainan chicken or beef loc lak. Ice coffee is 5/5, you just have to try it for yourself. Service is always quick and everything seems to always be cooked fresh. The ambiance is very comforting and well-maintained.

Chewy almost inedible beef

I was hesitant to write a review, in case the food was good. I went and first off customer service was horrible. I asked for rice and beef w/ broccoli and stir fry noodles with beef. She then repeated noodle soup so I said no soup, stir fry. She said she didn't understand, understandable but she tossed the menu at me saying just point. The total was almost $36. Which was iffy to me but whatever. Fine okay, when she hands me my order I asked if there was soy sauce, she never once looked up at me and said in there. I asked for chopsticks ( seeing as how there's two people and two plates) she tossed one on the counter still not looking up and I asked for another one. She then tossed them on the counter without saying anything or looking up. When I got home there was a chicken soup on top of my two plates, so she charged me something I didn't want. The noodles WERE HORRENDOUS. I had to pull them apart by hand, they were sticky and all stuck together (picture provided after I tried pulling them apart myself) there was only one soy sauce and the beef was super chewy and hard to break down. This was a very horrible experience here.

Nothing but Cambodian goodness! Soup was great, noodles excellent, broth was clean, soothing, and tasty!

Picking up Mama Lê's favorite dish for her birthday seafood egg noodles. I got the Phnom Penh noodle soup, and chicken chop suey. Broth was perfect for this rainy weather in Cali this morning. The famous Noodle Shack was packed, so I went up the street to another small local favorite to try theirs for the first time, it did not disappoint! And for $8 a giant bowl?! That's a steal. Dad hasn't eaten much lately and hasn't enjoyed his food, so he has lost a lot of weight. He ate his whole bowl!

Went here because my son recommended it. Had the Beef Lok Lak delish! Came with a soup (don't know what kind) clear broth. Good as well.

Hai Nam Chicken w/ Bai Chai Steamed Chicken with Fried Rice

This place is such a hole in the wall. It's a small restaurant with only 8 tables so it's best to come early in the morning. Especially on weekends. I always order the Hai Nam Chichen with Bai Cha. (Steamed chicken with fried rice instead of white rice) my partner introduced me to this combo and it's a game changer! It also comes with a small side of bone marrow broth, cucumber, and a delicious garlic sauce. My partner orders the Beef Noodle Soup, it's packed with flavor! Just make sure to add lime, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and the bean sprouts. For drinks, we order the Thai iced tea and Iced coffee. 10/10. Service is good. There's always one woman handling the front so if you come here please be patient, and kind!

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / June 8, 2023

Since I have eaten there I have not seen any outdoor seating. Maybe during COVID-19 they may have had it but I never saw any tables outside.

Anyone knows if they change ownership?

Yes they also accept card now

Delicious dependable dispensary of Khmer noodles, with AND without soup!…read more When you get there, use the kiosk so the staff know how many are in your group. When seated, enjoy. My usual order is their house special soup (SO good, get it)!, but this time I decided to try their fish noodle soup (not bad). When ordering a noodle soup, you can get the soup on the side ("dry") - and if you do, there'll be a pork bone inside! I was lucky enough to get a big honking pork bone with lots of fat. So I ended up getting a fish soup to cut down on my pork intake, but ended up with a pork-y soup. As one does. Friendly, attentive staff. Credit accepted. Street parking. They've got an app that provides discounts, but I haven't tried it yet.

She had a long, exhausting day, and the interaction came across as very pushy and lacking patience. I understand restaurants get busy, but customers should still be treated with respect and kindness. I also noticed another situation where a customer walked in asking about splitting tables while standing nearby, and the response felt rushed and dismissive. My dad has refused to eat here before because he felt the service was rude, and after experiencing it myself, I can understand why. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the experience either -- the soup was bland and not memorable enough for us to want to return. I'm sharing this because I hope customer service can improve and better reflect respect for the community.

The flavors are authentic and invoke nostalgia in the older generations and reconnection to their roots for the young. For those not well versed in cambodian cuisine, what this restaurant is making is not easy and the quality they are able to provide is impressive. Outside of the well known dishes with kreung - lemongrass paste, there are other dishes you won't find anywhere except in the the old world. Things like like the nhom svay- papaya salad with dried fish, or the Machu Srae - farmers fish soup, are complex with a unique mixtures of ingredients like banana blossoms and lotus, that deliver the familiar southeast asian sweet, sour, and salty umami flavor but with a signature that is uniquely Cambodian. You won't find this place recommended on infatuation or tagged with a Michelin bib gourmand simply because nobody understands Cambodian cuisine. But the community does and Cambodians from across the US and even back in the old world knows of this place. It's a must visit. Restaurants come and go. They get sold off remodeled and change for better or worse. I just felt compelled to write a review about it's current state so hopefully more people are aware and can enjoy what it is now because if we don't, places like these will go extinct.

I can't count the amount of times (over the years) where I couldn't hear my server or even my own family I was sitting with. Service is fair. Staff is usually friendly. Sometimes it can be hard to get their attention, even if the restaurant isn't super busy. Also, parking in the main lot is tight and almost never available.. We stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp then headed here based on the pictures. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and we were seated immediately because there wasn't really anyone inside on a weekday afternoon. We couldn't decide between what to get because everything looked so good and we were hungry, so we ended up getting the beef sticks, beef larb and angel chicken wings. The beef sticks were probably one of the most flavorful beef sticks I have tried in my life. You're instantly hit with so many different flavors while it's hot. This is something we would get again. The beef larb was a little too tangy and sour for my boyfriend's taste, but he still enjoyed it. He also said the beef in the larb was a little chewy for him, but it wasn't a big issue for him. I enjoy eating sour foods, but it did have us sweating inside haha. I loved the combination of veggies mixed in with the larb and the cabbage definitely helped cut out some of the sourness. The angel chicken wings! Probably one of my favorites because of all the lemongrass and turmeric added inside. The chicken was crispy on the outside yet so juicy on the inside. I also like that they cut up the wings into pieces for you. I'm glad we can across this restaurant on Yelp and got to try it. Next time, I would try the soups like the babaw (porridge) or the nom banh chok (fish rice noodles) because they were items I was deciding between that's still lingering through my mind right now.
