I am a dissatisfied customer. We have paid your company the rat bait box fee regularly and for over a year your technicians did not service the boxes. We called to address our concerns several times and were told it would be corrected. Month after month it never was corrected. The rat population grew, the bait boxes remained empty, the feces and urine accumulated. The car was infested with a rat who caused $4000 dollars worth of damage and your company never reimbursed us the lost service for a year, plus the damage to the car. The feces and urine was promised to be cleaned but never was by the owner himself. I live at 21978 Via Regina, Saratoga, CA 95070 and manage over 30 rental properties. These folks are always great. Super helpful on the phone when I have questions, always available within a week, and have been willing to cancel a job on short notice when I had concerns about my child being home. At one point I also had questions about how exactly they'd solve the ant issue I was having, and Danny, the tech in Santa Clara, spent all the time I needed answering my questions, about how the chemicals worked, safety, etc. Also used them for termites (good price) - they subcontracted a fumigation but the job was done well with no issues. Subcontractor was actually great, willing to return when I was being neurotic about moving into a post fumigation house, and literally walked me room by room with the measuring equipment to prove there was no gas left. read more

It is never a good day when you discover bedbugs in your home. I called Killroy right away, and they put me in touch with David Colombo who is their bedbug specialist. He took his time and answered all of my questions over the phone. I found him to be well informed and very pleasant which helped to calm my nerves about this situation. He came out today, and he was able to size up the situation quickly. He did the first treatment and made recommendations such as removing the old mattress and rug, washing all linens & clothing in hot water and drying on high heat, etc. David's professionalism and good humor went a long way toward turning this problem into one that is manageable and soon to be in the rear view mirror. read more

In checking the attic, I asked her to please put the cover back on correctly and with a tight fit (no opening). Lauren did exactly that she made sure to close the opening exactly as it should be. This company seemed all great to work with, until after the inspection of our home. First, we had wanted to pay for the inspection (their initial inspection is not free), since we had a coupon for $30 off. The technician said there was no need to pay- even after we told him that we were shopping around for services and really did want to pay and avoid hassles if we did not choose their service- to which he said - THERE IS NO CHARGE. Secondly, we had asked the technician for a quote, which we never received after the visit. ZERO follow up. Fast forward almost 2 months later and I get a very rude call from an accounts payable person at Kilroy who told me my account was past due. Excuse me what??? I explained to her the situation and was told that we still had to pay- and our coupon would no longer be honored. This is extremely unprofessional behavior - and frankly, makes me glad that I did not go with Kilroy's for my needs. read more

We have had Killroy service throughout our duration of homeownership, the first 9 years at a townhouse, followed by the last 18 years in a single family residence. Did a lot of research before calling Killroy, to take care of our Argentine ant invasion. Liked they were local and close and 5 star review. Their dispatch answered the phone quickly, gave a competitive quote of $195 with 60 day warranty. Technician arrived on time on the appointment date, in a new looking service truck, answered my questions onsite about where to spray etc. He covered the entire perimeter from ground into the roof eaves, placed some bait stations and spot treated in the house. No upsell which was a nice change. Within two days the ants were gone! I had looked into getting my own professional level chemicals and doing it myself but for the cost it made sense to use the pros. I may have them spray quarterly. Recommended. read more

I use Killroy Pest Control ("KPC") for both my home and the home that I rent out. KPC, and in particular Eddy, is very knowledgeable. KPC helped me with an unexpected rat problem (the rat was trying to chew its way into my house). KPC also helped me with a persistent mole and/or gopher problem by installing little traps into the tunnels. And, KPC spread pellets on my front and back lawn to kill the grubs underneath the sod. Apparently, raccoons were ripping out my sod to find the grubs underneath my lawn. Very annoying raccoons. I really feel better now that I have the expertise of KPC on my side. read more

I am reducing this company to 1 star. I did speak with them about my old issue and nothing really got resolved. But now, for a whole different matter, I am dropping them to 1 star and am so very upset about them, and suggest you think twice about them. Here' why: I was on a once every 2-month service plan with this company. Typically I would get a call in the late afternoon of the day before someone was to visit my home. I repeatedly asked to get a heads up a few days in advance. This never happened, so I would often not be able to have the inside of my home sprayed. Anyhow, as I have pets inside, I didn't make it a big issue. Then one day I noticed that I have been having tons of spriders and bugs inside the house. And I realized... I had not been visited by the company for over 6 months!!! I called them to ask why my rep had not been calling or visiting me. The answer I got: they apparently changed their software system and in that process, I was not transitioned to the new system. Therefore, in their system I was no longer a valid customer!! I guess my bad for not recognizing for over 6 months that I had not been sprayed. But now I had a bug issue, so I asked the lady how do I get started right away? Their response is what earns them a 1 STAR! According to the lady, I had to go through an evaluation and an initial service that all new customers go through... And I had to pay over $200 for that alone. And then, after that, my monthly rate would increase by over $20! This was absurd, and I told her that. I had been a customer with these guys since like 2007, and I was being told to pay a new initiation fee and an increased rate. I was not having it. I told her I was very disappointed and that I demanded a manager call me. Guess what... no one ever called. I went to home depot and bought my own spray and hit the perimeter of the house and things are better. But I was hoping to get back on a system with these guys. They really did me wrong! They have been over a few times. Once to get rid of a wasp nest, which my husband wanted to take care of himself. He ended up stung by a bee with his arm swollen for weeks. Killroy took care of it in a matter of minutes. We've had rat and move problems in our attic for a long time and had others come to find the points of entry. They didn't find all of them and we continued having problems. Rick and Joe were here and found the areas others missed and closed the up. They are very professional, capable, and personable. What are they processing? Administration then attempts an argument saying that they always quoted $205, and I, a first-time customer, heard wrong! And these knuckleheads wish to continue doing business in the bay area, well not for long unless they massively revamp their customer service. Reporting to BBB as well. After a month of service, still have horrible rodent problem. Droppings all over our deck. We only get excuses. They loose our checks when we send them in and then they blame us. I recently purchased a new home in the Santa Cruz area and quickly began a war against ants and spiders. I finally relinquished and set out to find an environmentally friendly pest control service to fight my battles for me. After an exhaustive search, I found Kilroy Pest Control. They were friendly, professional, and thorough with the intake interview over the phone. Ms. Lauren Kersten was put in charge of my service, given that she is in charge of the alternative pesticide methods for Kilroy. After answering all of my questions via phone about the types of plant-based pesticides being used, Ms. Lauren scheduled an appointment for a few days later (a very quick turnaround from my initial call to home service call!). Ms. Lauren showed up at my door wearing a friendly looking khaki uniform and holding a long pole with rounded bristles on the end (for spider web removal). She was friendly, highly knowledgeable, and reassuring that she could get my pest issue under control. After a thorough spraying of my property and extensive web removal (imagine Halloween type fuzzy webs everywhere!), Ms. Lauren checked back in and told me that she would be the one in charge of my account for all future needs. David Flowers came today to check out a stair landing tile sinking for termites in the underlying structure. He went under the building thru a crawlspace to examine this area but was unable to access it. He found no evidence of termites in the areas surrounding the landing.
