This place is fun. Coffee mugs are rough clay and decorated. No normal coffee mug here, instantly you know the food will be good because they care what the mugs look like. And I was right. Lots of different Mexican breakfast offerings. I had the chilaquiles burrito and it was spicy. I added chorizo and would do it again. My wife's scramble look Ed great but I didn't get a sample. Her beans were gone quickly, so they must have been terrific as well. Our server was very good and let us catch up with r friends for over two hours. Never rushed and refilled cups many times. Parking is very limited but there is a lot on the lower level next door if you get there before 10am it will be empty. Highly recommend and would go again. read more

This place exceeded my expectations. Their menu has a huge selection for Sunday and we ordered the carne asada and the mole chilaquiles. The meat was seasoned so well and the mole was thick and rich, with a touch of spiciness, which I very much appreciated. I can't wait to go back because I'd love to try their pancakes. Very nice ambience and very friendly staff. I had the chilaqueles with chorizo. It was excellent, especially the salsa verde. My wife had the machaca con huevos and the handmade flour tortillias. I had the agua fresca mango. I did not get much of a mango flavor and i would not choose that again. But the cafe de olla was quite good. I have been going to Kikey's for a few years and will continue to support this local business and their family for so many reasons, highly recommend! The food has always been fresh made with quality ingredients. My favorite is the Eggs Benedict with a little touch of Mexico. It really hits the spot with the chorizo! My husband loves to try something new from the menu pretty frequently and there hasn't been a plate he didn't finish. The fresh juices are delicious as well as the cafe con leche. They do have dinner options if you're not looking for brunch. There can be a wait so head over early or wait till after the lunch rush. I wish you could order online for pickup but sadly they discontinued this service and have not brought it back yet. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Upon arrival, it was supposed to be a lengthy wait but they got us in very quickly. I got the carnitas eggs benedict from a recommendation and it was a great decision. It was perfectly cooked and had a reasonable amount of sauce and meat. The mimosas were also well balanced with great flavor options including Jamaica (haven't seen that anywhere else!). Very cool atmosphere as well, and family friendly. My primary complaint was the service. After we ordered, we did not see our server again until it was time to pay. Therefore, though we never received water, we didn't get a chance to ask either. I saw this recommended a number of times and finally got to try it. Very much glad we did. Fortunately we got there early enough to get a table, by the time we lefts there were several parties waiting outside. It does get a bit noisy when full, but the food is certainly worth it. I ordered the Chiliquiles con Mole and added Chorizo! We also ordered a stack of pancakes, which is really why I was there. All were delicious and I would have them again, no questions. The staff a great, variety of drinks, and overall a winner. If you are in the area and want breakfast or lunch, give it a try! The Horchata Latte was interesting and my new favorite. Ok this restaurant is one of my favorite places id eat breakfast. I have only eaten breakfast here so far. I love their breakfast, Rancheros, French toast, delicious coffee. The fish is just always fresh and good. It's like authentic Mexican food. We moved here from Cali and it's been hard to find good Mexican food. I did bring my husband one time and I can't remember what he ordered but that was the 1 time out of 10 times that the food wasn't impressive. We went here on a busy Sunday morning, around 11 am. There was a bit of a wait and little space for waiting. The hostess suggested we could leave our phone number and wait in our car, but it was pouring and the lot was full so we were parked around the building. We waited right outside and it seemed like people who stood inside (and stared down the hostess?) got tables faster so we ended up moving inside to try the same tactic. (And it worked!) The service was good but not great. My coffee never came. When the food came, the waitress came and asked if we needed any condiments, I asked for ketchup for my potatoes and mentioned that I never got my coffee, but it was fine, I wanted to drink it while we waited for our food. She apologized profusely and said she would take it off the bill, but never brought the ketchup. She was super friendly though! I think she was just spread thin, it seemed like she was rushing around. The dining room was loud (two screaming babies at two tables near us!) but I think that was the time of day, I saw another review mention doing work on a laptop and I imagine it would either need to be a much quieter time of day or you'd need some great noise canceling headphones. Lastly, the food was excellent. I had "Eggs Benedict with a Touch of Mexico" and it was delicious. My husband had the Breakfast Parilla and a side of extra-crispy bacon which was also great. The service was quick and attentive, and the best part was that they gave a free tamale which was delicious! Our waiter (unfortunately didn't catch the name) would let us know whether a dish was too spicy or not, with great recommendation what sauce would taste good to try. I got the Carnitas Chilaquiles with Mole sauce and refried beans, and the flavor of it was not too spicy. It had a bit of a kick with a slight sweetness and from each bite of tortilla in it gave a pleasant crunch. Along with the drink I got, Marzapan Latte, was sweet but not too sweet. Mmmmmmmm! This place is amazing!! The food is authentic, tasty, and everyone that works at kikeys has always been so friendly and kind. Very accommodating with the baby and booster seat, the pancake was surprisingly SO good you can tell it's not a cheap nasty boxed batter. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast burrito with a pancake on the side. Very solid breakfast burrito packed full of flavor. Pancake was crisp with a thin caramel topping. Orange juice was some of the best I've had. Freshly squeezed served in a cool cultural mug. My service was fine, but I could see how it would get a little slow if the establishment was full. We've driven by this restaurant so many times in Burien and thought it was just a simple Cafe. No, this is an amazing Mexican breakfast restaurant, and I love Sunday brekky. I had the Chilaquiles Rojo. I was introduced to Chilaquiles in Mazatlan and I love it. This was a little different, but I really liked the beans, eggs, tortilla chips soaked in the red sauce. The flavors of the beans and red sauce were delicious perched on the tortilla chip. I also ordered a fresh orange just that was delicious and a champarado, but they were out, so I settled for coffee. My wife ordered the Parilla skillet with Chorizo. It had chunky potatoes and the Chorizo on the bottom, eggs all smothered in sour cream and Pico de Gallo. The textures and flavors were a great blend with the heat of the Chorizo making this a memorable dish. She also had the fresh squeezed orange juice that she loved. Our son, in a signature move, ordered a burrito with only Carne asado and cheese. No salsa, nothing else. We keep hoping he will grow out of this phase. Kikey's Cafe is a fun place to eat breakfast in Burien. There are a few parking spots in the front, but there are tons of spots behind the building. They are open early (7 AM) which is wonderful, but I didn't get there till 10 AM. They were pretty busy, but I only waited a few minutes to get seated. They have tons of tables and I was really happy that they are spaced far apart. My table had a QR code where you can see the menu on your phone. I was a little confused because I didn't know that you are only supposed to look at menu (but not order online). After a few minutes, a waitress came to my table and took my order. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Taste of Mexico: toasted English muffin, poached eggs, grilled tomatoes, hollandaise sauce, and choice of chorizo or asada. It is served with house potatoes and green mixed salad. I enjoyed my food. I order Eggs Benedict a lot, and I liked that this version had a Mexican flare. I also ordered a drip coffee. I had been meaning to try Kikey's for a long time, and out of town visitors looking for brunch was a great reason. There was a small wait, but Kikey's has an online waitlist that lets you know where you are in line. Our estimated wait was much shorter than expected and we were seated in about 10 minutes. Kikey's has a great selection of Mexican dishes for breakfast/lunch, as well as several coffees, limonadas and agua frescas. I went with Chilaquiles Christmas style (red and green sauce) and a mango limonada. The platter was served with refried beans and a half bolillo roll. The red sauce was spicy and delicious, and the limonada had chunks of mango in it. One of my guests had a giant breakfast burrito that was enough for two, and around us families were enjoying carne asada and big sandwiches. The atmosphere is lively and the service is friendly and helpful. Colorful murals adorn the walls, including the bathrooms. Kikey's is definitely worth regular rotation! read more

I hate that Kikey's is not up to my personal standards. I used to love the potatoes, but they taste somehow more sour and bland at the same time. These were my favorite and although they're simple they were done so well. Granted, I haven't been in about 6-8 months prior to today so it may have been an older change, but they are absolutely different. The veggies in the fajitas were on the very uncooked side and tasted less like seasoned cooked veggies and more like plain raw veggies. I got a carne de res torta and the meat was unexpectedly unpleasant. I regret the $70 spent.
