I love getting all my toddler's clothes here. I always find great deals and with brands I love. We've also bought toys that my son absolutely loves. We usually go here before we buy anything as we found we could most of the time save a couple of bucks. This place is a SCAM! I was excited the first time I shopped at this kid thrift store months back. Returned for the second time to "sell" my baby clothes in exchange for store credit. I dropped off a HUGE bin of new and slightly used clothes alongside a pair of shoes that were used once or twice. I dropped off on a Sunday and they don't "cash out" on Sundays so I waited for for a response which I received the very next day. Apparently they can't take anything in and I'd have to pick up my items within the next 3 days or everything will be "donated"... that's some bull. I've seen the items they sell and nearly everything is obviously used, stained, or not worth the price. The items I took in are new or practically new!!! Way better quality and in better condition than the clothing they have to offer. They'll gladly take in your clothes, lie to you and say that your clothing has no value, then leave you to decide whether you want to "donate" it all when clearly IT'S A SCAM! They resell your "donations." Just donate your clothes to goodwill, Salvation Army, or family/friends. This place will take your clothes and sell for their own profit. The customer service at this store is lacking. I called on Saturday Nov. 18th to inquire if they had any 16" bikes. I was put on hold for seven minutes. I figured they must have gotten busy, or forgotten about me, and hung up. I tried calling an hour later and got a recording saying "The party you are trying to reach has not set up voicemail." I tried again several times, two hours later, and got the same recording. Did I drive half an hour to their store to see if they had a 16" bike? Nope. If the store employee was too busy to look in the first place, she could have just said so. But to take the store's phone "off the hook" completely is poor customer service. read more

I used to like this place because they had decent clothing for babies, but I just lost respect for the business. They offer like nothing for the items you bring in. Additionally, it doesn't seem like they inspect the items which they purchase. We bought a baby gate for $60 and we were so excited to use it. You would be better off selling for cheap yourself. *** When I was in store waiting for the lady to presort my donation, I browsed. Kid snow bib was $41.99. What? At regular retailers like Target, Walmart, etc, it is only half that price. They have many new knick knacks but it is priced the same as if you went to other toy stores, retailers. Guess it would be a good place if you needed some stocking stuffers. They took over 48 hours to give me a price on my 9 items. I should've actually taken a photo of the things they took. Definitely took a loss on my items. Then on Friday at 630pm, I received an email about it. I felt that it should've been sent Saturday morning. If the store closes at 7pm on Friday, why send me a notification giving no time to take any action. It says that if you don't pick up your cash payout within 48 hours, then it will just go to store credit. I emailed them to let them know that I wouldn't be able to pick up until Monday. But I could see that if you didn't, you would just end up with store credit. (I called. They said that Monday pick up cash was fine.) They can donate your clothing for you. So if you just want a place to drop off kid stuff, you can. Don't expect to receive much of a cash payout. Many items that I dropped off were brand in plastic. I'm sure they will make a killing off of it. You'd be better off donating it while getting a tax write off. If you do need a seasonal red/white Santa dress, they have those. But you could also go to Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Ross for the same thing new. There were super cute baby outfits that unfortunately I don't have any babies to buy for at the moment. Inside, there are rows of row of gently worn kids' clothing and gently used toys. Everything was clean and well-organized. NOT WORTH IT They sell things like they are Nordstrom Rack. I could find all these items for cheaper AND NEW elsewhere. They give you about $2 per item/set and then resell for 5x the price. Honestly, I would advise to donate your items rather than sell to this store. The staff was friendly, except for the woman appraising the clothing. I understand that there is a markup and they obviously have to make a profit in order to stay in business. Having said that, after I got my items appraised, I felt I preferred to donate them instead of getting the small amount of money I was offered. I did have a bassinet that she appraised and was going to purchase. After I informed her I wanted to only sell the bassinet and take my clothes back she replied with "okay, well we're not going to do that" - verbatim. Firstly, what kind of unprofessional response is that. Is it retaliation because I chose to take some of my items back? If so, how is that professional? Maybe there is a policy where you have to sell them 1 or more item, I don't know, however, she could have taken the time to say that rather than replying in such way. Anyway, needless to say, I'm definitely not returning/supporting to this business and I definitely do not recommend it. Yes it's great for people looking for discounted clothing- although many of the items are very worn and with stains (i browsed while I waited)- but it's not worth it. You get better prices shopping online when stores have sales or even on reseller websites such as Children's Orchard. Also, they advertise that they give you a certain percentage from what they sell it for, which the percentage is not accurate. I browsed around to look at their pricing, to get an idea of what i would be offered- and it does not add up. Transparency is key, and there's definitely some false advertisement going on. Probably how they code items, as when woman went line by line with me, i noticed she coded some items wrong- probably to give a lower pay out. read more

They have such a wide variety of things from toys, furniture, and seriously whatever you can think of. The prices are half of the retail price and somethings are actually new. Truly disappointed... I went yesterday took 1 bag of clothes, food steamer and breast pump and was told they do not take these anymore . As far as the clothes they only bought 2 items and gave me $3.00 for both. I asked the 2 young girls yesterday why only 2 and was told it depends on the name brand and it was worn out . The clothes I took did not look worn out I'm not sure they even went trough it all or didn't feel like pricing . A lot of the bad reviews are from ppl selling their items. As far as the store, it's great for someone trying to save money. It's organized and well stocked. They did have a white board with needed items. Wish I had gotten a photo! When I checked out , they were extremely friendly, quick and attentive. My baby got a 80$ toy for 30$. Id come back. The store is actually quite expensive, sometimes more expensive than if the item was new. The resale amount they provide is very small. The return policy does not seem customer forward. We were in the neighborhood and I had always wanted to check it out and I'm so glad I did! Walked out with a ton of higher end brands for fraction of the price. They were WELL stocked. The cashier was also super friendly and she was very understanding of my overly excited kids. Also, just want to say that if your item(s) gets turned down, try not to take it personally. The store is clean and I would purchase items from here. They have a section for free items like unopened formula that folks drop off. They now will only take only the most specific items and offer you very little in value back. I dropped off about 70 items, they kept maybe 10, and of those 10 items valued at a total of maybe $200, they offered a cash amount of $33. Unpleasant Experience: Long story short, the entire experience was a waste of time and feels very much like a RIP OFF/SCAM! For items that were in great condition and of premium brands (Jordans, Adidas, Nike, etc.), I was offered a paltry $24. However, the issue is less about the low offer (which I somewhat expected understanding how resale stores opperate), and more about the fact that I had not even been given the opportunity to DECLINE the offer and receive my items back, before they were already put out on the store shelves. Additionally, the employee that handled my transaction today 1/28/23 was very unwelcoming and curt. Also, the process is very inefficient as I dropped my items off last Sunday 1/22/23, and never received an email notification that an offer was ready. I had to call MULTIPLE times for a status update, which is very inconvenient. I also regret allowing them to donate the rest of my items that they didn't buy, because I have a sneaky suspicion that there's a lack of integrity in that process. The service here is horrible. Came in on Saturday. There's two girls working in the sell area. The girl upfront didn't acknowledge us didn't say anything. We waited for about 10 minutes before she rudely said what do you need? I'm here to sell and she goes you log onto the computer OK well that would have been nice if you told me that when I was standing here for the last 10 minutes, no customer service skills at all!! Log onto the computer still don't know what to do. Ask the other girl and she says put everything in the bin and it'll take about an hour so they want you to stay in store for an hour cause I asked if we could leave and she said they won't touch your stuff if you're not in store, that's ridiculous!! What are you supposed to do with the toddler for an hour inside their store! Unfortunately, we will not be back here and from reading other reviews it sounds like they give you pennies for brand new tagged items!! read more

Have been bringing kids clothing her for a while now usually the buyout is decent but this last time I brought more than usual and all slightly used and some Brand new they offered me basically nothing doubt I'll ever come back there just talking advantage at this point I know everything is getting more expensive so I understand but $20 for good condition clothing was unacceptable I just feel like I don't trust them at this point because it made no sense at all I honestly am hoping they mixed up my drop off with someone else because when I came in to pick up my buyout the girl said someone else name and I told her I'm pretty sure my box was mixed up and she just ignored me and handed me the $20 my husband was waiting for me in the car only reason I just left and didn't stay to figure it all out but this place is getting more expensive and then buyout bas completely unacceptable for the items i brought in curious to see if anyone reaches out to correct this ....I'll wait read more

My complaint is with the buy process at this store. They claim to buy for 20-50% of the sale price. What they don't tell you is that they don't accept 99% of what you bring in. If there is any misunderstanding, the owner Steve will tell you he and his store are perfect and any misunderstanding is baseless and your fault. I dropped off two bins of very nice clothing. Lots of Carters, Gap, Gymboree, and H&M. I was shocked to get a buy price of $14 for everything. When I asked why so low, they claimed to only have selected 7 items out of the entire stock. I couldn't believe this as the items had some very nice dresses and sweaters in there as well as some barely used items. When I said I was upset with the buy, the owner Steve sent an email that basically said their buying process was flawless, and if there was any misunderstanding it was on my part and that it was baseless and my fault. I knew this was not true. When I went into the store, the staff were nice. The buyer Cera said that there was nothing wrong with the dresses. They simply did not need dresses. I was able to get a lot of my stuff back. However I will not be returning due to the yucky nature of the owner, Steve. The Kid 2 Kid franchise site says these stores sell over $700,000 a year. I would rather support a worthy cause than line the pockets of this narcissist for a $14 payout. read more

According to staff: items on the floor at about 50% of retail value so you get a trade in value of 30-40%. I can absolutely say that statement does not reflect what I've seen on the floor lately. I'm not sure if they encountered issues with people buying children's items and reselling them at the store and that's the reason why their trade in value estimates are so bad lately but it definitely gives an impression of bait and switch situation. This store used to be a good place for reselling & buying and now it's not. They have a queue visible on the tv screen and an electronic check in system but refuse to implement a text alert service instead of demanding re-sellers physically stand inside the store. What really disappointed me today was the fact that I voiced that I needed to go to my sons dr's office to submit some paperwork in Pasadena and would return back to finish the process since there is a long wait and staff said not only is there a new policy where you have to accept whatever amount offered but they would only provide service if I was in store. I was going to wait in my car while I filled out paperwork for my son who has a disability but was told no, I had to be in store. So I sat on the dirty store floor while they priced my items of course below 1/4 of retail price. The store counter has been consistently backed up for the last 2 years, if you do not have a waiting area which I wouldn't expect you to have, then let people wait in their cars so they can work on their other tasks! I will not be checking back for a response because I will not be returning but wanted to share my experience so that you can make improvement on your queue system for future customers. read more

We are obsessed. Kid to Kid is our go-to store for our 1 year old, and has been since she was born. They have an amazing inventory, everything is in great condition. So much less expensive than buying anything new. As a new parent, I never know what products will work for us. It's so nice to be able to buy things to try inexpensively and not stress about wasting money. I recommend this store to all of my friends with kids. Although a franchise, it is locally owned and operated. I feel good supporting a local family as opposed to a large corporation. read more

Be careful when you want to sell toys and clothes to the "Kid to Kid" store, as you only get pennies to the dollar and they are not careful with items. Beautiful antique christening dresses that had been dry-cleaned and carefully folded were returned to me in a jumbled heap, and a small dollhouse was returned with one hinge missing and the other broken. read more

Give it 2-3 stars tops. The cash payout is very very low. I'd absolutely recommend donating elsewhere or selling items on another market place. I'm not sure how they calculate the pay out. I'm baffled. I had multiple posh peanut, Hannah annderson, baby gap and H&M items that hadn't even been worn. LoveVery toys. All from 2022. Even a brand new winter jacket. Recently sold to them. I was happy with how much they paid me for my items however, I feel like they didn't take as much stuff as I would have wanted. As far as the items they sell. I would not purchase . Seem too high for consignment prices. I would rather make the extra travel to once upon a child. Items are priced more reasonable and the quality as much better.
