What a great find!!! I was spending the day with my sister and she brought me here. I had never ever really hung out in Eagle Rock before but sure glad I did this day. We strolled in and to our delight were captured by all the interesting things in this store. They specialized in children's articles, clothing, toys ect. The store is a consignment one but also carries new items. The owner happened to be there and was very friendly and welcomed us. She explained to us how their consignment process was. I just could not get enough of this store. I ended up walking out having bought many gifts for my three grandkids. I will definitely recommend this store to all my family and friends. I wish I would of had a store like this when my kids were little. Now my grandkids will benefit from this find! I'll be sure to be back.

Thanks for lion costume Green Bean!

For a parent that is wanting to find high quality used clothing/shoes at great prices, this is the place! We have a two year old, and feel it's responsible to not buy everything new- this place is a great resource. She is currently wearing a pair of shoes we got there for under $10, and they have held up for a few months of daily wear. Last October we even got a fantastic used lion costume for Halloween, see the picture :)

Love this store for gently used kids toys and clothing. Prices are fair and transparent.

Also, I forgot to mention that the owner, Traci, is the Queen of Eagle Rock, as far as the under 5 crowd is concerned.

I have been shopping here for years, I always find the owner and the staff to be so pleasant and helpful. You can tell that the store is loved and that the buyer (who I think is the owner) is inspired. What I especially like about this store is that all of the clothing is super high quality and is often sourced from other small businesses who are committed to their craft. I have dresses that I purchased from Dotter years ago and I wear them constantly, but they still look like new. The prices are super reasonable especially for the quality and longevity of the items. I love to go here whenever I need to pick up a gift for a friend, I always find the perfect item. I am so happy that Dotter is open again, I've missed being inside of this special store!

I drive @45 minutes to get there and had actually selected a jacket for myself. I tried on the jacket and noticed that there was a $32 discrepancy between the coat on line versus in the store. I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.

It will likely be your last, because they have a stellar selection of kids toys (many great for childhood development and fun) and the cutest kids clothes. You can save yourself hours at a mall or one of those nasty chains you probably don't want to go to. I recently went in there and came out with a several gifts, all in about 30 minutes. The customer service is top notch - they're friendly, know their products, and can give good advice on what to pick based on your needs, and the kids' ages/interests. For winter holidays, they have both Christmas and Hanukkah themed gifts (clothes, pajamas, knitwear). They carry Mini Rodini, one of my favorite kids brands. They get bonus points for being well staffed - having enough staff to give 1:1 help to customers even during the holiday rush. Great hours, they open early enough that you can grab a gift before brunch or whatever else you have going on for the day. These people are a godsend. I'm rating this best kids store in L.A.

I went in searching for a gift for a 5 yo and had no clue what I wanted to get. The woman behind the counter was very helpful in pointing out a variety of potential options and then gave me time and space to browse. I love that they carry some clothing and books that are more local to LA, which made the gifts feel more unique and personal in a way. I would also much rather support local shops than massive e-commerce companies. So, I'll be doing more gift shopping here in the future!

And asked the cashier to please use my phone number so that my purchase would be registered to my account history.. Long story short, he didn't. And it caused a disaster !! And instead of taking accountability as a store employee made a mistake, the manager blamed me!!! Fast forward to today 1/26, as I proceed to return the item as it didn't work out for me. The original tags were still attached.. The manager Arely was disgusting rude, as I was never given the receipt and didn't know the exact date that the purchase was made. Although she could tell the item was newly purchased, in fact it was new item that had just come out. She blamed me the customer, stating that I should have been aware of what card I used to make the purchase. Like who shops and remembers exactly what card they made a purchase on? Instead of holding the employee who didn't use my customer account accountable, she blamed me, stating that if I didn't know the registrar it was purchased on, and the day and time, that I had to keep the unwanted item. Instead of offering me a store credit. She made me wait about 45 minutes pretending to look for the item in the backlog. When in fact a portion of the time she was upstairs walking around ... Not to mention, I have a disability, and my body became faint and I almost passed out waiting for her. I had to actually sit on register top because she was intentionally taking so long walking around upstairs. The way she spoke to me was disrespectful and disturbing. Not once did she apologize for the employee not properly checking me out.. She in fact became indignant in her efforts to blame me! Not sure how she is in a managerial position, as the employees at the registrar exercised more professionalism and courtesy than her... She needs to be fired immediately!
