Went in to sell the clothes that my baby out grew. I first heard about this place on an instagram ad. I was excited that I can basically trade my clothes for some old new clothes and it supports a local business. I waited the 30min and I shopped during that time. I brought in 3bags and they told me that they don't need much for that size. She didn't let me see what they picked out but the $cash offer was $15 and store credit was $18. Later on I looked at the receipt and it stated they bought 11 items. I looked though my clothes and as mother; we always know all the clothes her baby has since I bought them all, price at retail and they were all the ones that still had the tags or where Nike, and Jorden. That a $1.36 an item. Sorry but I'm not going back. They are selling their Nike and Jorden for 17.99 and $25. I will just donate my clothes and keep buying from Ross and Burlington read more

As a mom with an 8 year old and a 2 year old, kid to kid is my go to every season change or growth spurt. Both my kids find ample choices and I brought my husband along once and he couldn't believe the prices. All my friends that are first time moms, I blow their minds bringing them here because they can outfit a newborn with everything and a fraction of the cost. Love Kid to Kid Pasadena! So refreshing to not fully feed into the baby consumerism, especially when kids outgrow things absurdly fast. I've both sold things and bought things here, and feel that if you shop right, you definitely get a decent price - i.e. $4-5 for girls' jeans. At least for me, a little part of the reward is knowing that I'm not contributing to the ridiculous buy-buy-buy consumerism. You definitely do NOT get a lot for selling them items here, but again, for me, that's not the purpose. Would rather know that my gently used plastic blocks/toys/clothes/walkers/gimmicks have a second (or third or fourth even) life. It's really nicely organized by gender and size, and very clean. Easy and efficient process to sell clothes. I had name brand items and some almost new (worn once) items. I received about 10-15 percent of resale value for my items. $1-1.50, for example. If you are comfortable with 10-15 percent (more than you get donating), go for it. read more

This place was okay... a lot of their products are a hit or a miss. Some are in good gently used shape and some of them are in really bad shape. You would think that because they specialize in baby/kids clothes it would be a little bit cleaner, but everything is dirty,stained or dusty. One of the cashiers was super nice and friendly, she kindly explained the process on how to sell drop off items. One of the other cashiers was very rude and had a poor attitude. If you are looking for something specific and want to pay a cheaper price this is the place, but be aware the prices aren't always significantly cheaper than what you would buy in store or online. Also parking can be kind of tricky to find around the area, they will tow your car if you are not parked according to signs. read more

I stopped by on a weekday morning with 4 big bags and while I appreciate the easy street parking and staff were decently friendly, they only offered me $3. In terms of items to purchase, there was a decent mix, best for 1-4 year olds, although they did have a maternity section. Since they prioritize people that stay (and of note, it'd be nice to have a small seating area), I wandered extensively around the store and didn't see anything that I wanted to buy. Buy nothing is my normal go to for one use items, but it's understandably limited, so i searched for nearby secondhand shops and ended up at Kid to Kid Pasadena. Came in for Halloween costumes and found a gem of an outfit for my kiddo for less than a costume purchase online, plus seems to be good quality. Organization is imperfect, but they definitely put in a good effort. Decent selection for 8-12 year old age sizes which is normally not as readily available secondhand. Costumes are right in front right now, so that helps too! Staff if hit and miss. Asked someone stocking for help locating a price and they were helpful. Person working at the cashier was not however, they said no bags are provided and just left my items for me to gather myself, no attempt to fold or hand them to me. I found EXACTLY what I needed here. I swear, no one has baptism outfits for babies. Not ebem clothes that are just simply white and no designs. But this place did! While there, I was pleased and impressed with all the amount of clothes, toys, strollers, play pens, etc that could be found there. Ages from newborn to probably 6-10 yrs old. I got myself an account because I KNOW I'm shopping here from now on. Everything is good quality and clean. I also appreciate the fact I can donate back or sell things here in the future. They also have a points system with the account. For every $10 you spend, you get a point. Get so many points and you get discounts. Create an account if you intend to return or exchange. An original receipt is insufficient. I was not informed prior to purchase and this is not posted on the return policy sign. Upon trying to return, the store owner told me it's implied that an account must be created in order to receive store credit or exchange. I was given the option to resell at about 30% of the purchase price. However, an account plus ID also must be created to sell, because some resale items could be stolen and the store will hand over your information to law enforcement. read more

My first time dropping off some clothes and a new pair of slippers. Was told when I checked in that there may be a 30-45min wait and that because it was my first time, I had to wait in the store. So I followed directions a d placed my items in a bin they provided and walked around the store to shop. Came back to check on my stuff 5 min later and they were thrown into another seller's bin. The other seller said one of the staff did that because she needed the bin. I was a bit surprised that they would do that, how would one know what belonged to who? Then through the 2 hours I waited, yes 2 hours, not the 30-45in they said. I waited right in front of the registerand witnessed the chaos. They had many staff, but only one or two that were appraising. One of the staff pre-sorted my stuff, i only had like 15 pieces, some clothes and a pair of slippers. He picked out 3 pieces that they were not going to take. And then I kept waiting. While I waited, I noticed that 2 people that came in after me was appraised first. I complained about it and they unapologetically said that they were already appraising them and they had smaller packages, which was NOT true, at least for one of the moms, who clearly had more items then my pile. And also, why would they be already being processed when they came after me? I clearly remember who i signed in after and that mom was already out the door an hour ago. Anyway, when the appraiser finally got to my offer, she rejected almost everything g except for 4, and I got a grand total of $4.80. For almost new clothes and over two hours of my time. I even bought two pieces from the store, so I technically came up as negative... Will never be back, not worth my time and patience. read more

I had to park in a loading zone and .I simply asked the girl do you think it's fine to park in the loading zone while I transfer clothes to bins and she nastily answered me I do not work for the city of Pasadena and I can not control what they do you do what you have to do . I have been to this store a couple of times. Sometimes I get lucky and get really good items for a good price. However, there have been times where I find clothes and the price for being used isn't worth it. It just depends. I tried selling some items and felt that a $1 per item was not really worth it. Maybe I'll try it again in the future. I For the customer services, it's been good. If I ask for an item they are willing to walk me over to the area where I can find it. I also like that they have carts because then you are able to look around without having to worry about your little one touching or trying to go every where. read more

I took brand new toys unopened and still sealed to sell. I was told the appraisal would take anywhere from 2-5 days to appraise over a holiday weekend. I never received a call or an email. Turned out it was in my spam. The only way I found out was when I called to check on the status. They did not give me my cash nor did they give me my items back that I sent in. The store is a scam. I do not recommended this place. I'm sure I'm not the only who has accidentally had emails go to spam. Instead of calling they stay silent so they don't have to pay people out what they are owed and essentially steal your items. Do not sell or shop here!!!! read more

My first & last visit, for various reasons. - parking was an issue for me. Either you get lucky and find parking on the street, or expect to walk some distance with your bags & bins. Drove around a couple times and was able to find a street parking space by luck. -employees were nice, and helpful with signing in. -busy Saturday morning, so I had to wait around an hour for my appraisal. They have an option to drop-off but in the meanwhile I wanted to checkout the store. -prices on majority of things were at department store prices. So not much of a deal/offer. - took a bin full of clothes & some toys, and they only offered to buy 8 items, and I walked out with $9 bucks I was so embarrassed with my husband, he waited over an hour in the car with our children to walk back out with my full bin and not even $10 . - I understand they were being selective, and thought I had a great selection of things to offer. I was hesitant to sell my kid's outgrown clothes to them because of the numerous 1-star reviews but I'm glad I went in anyway! The appraisal process was fast (roughly 15-20 mins on a Wednesday afternoon) and I was satisfied with the appraisal amount. They gave me $74 for about 15 pieces of clothing and a Baby Bjorn bouncer. The clothes that they declined and returned to me were from "bargain" brands such as Cat & Jack and Old Navy, so I got the sense that they're only accepting clothes from higher-end brands. So if you have a bunch of clothes from Target, Walmart, etc, you're probably better off donating or selling on Craigslist or OfferUp. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience as a seller and prior experience as a buyer. They have a great selection of everything kid-related that you can think of! Some stuff on the shelves are brand new. As someone who is trying to live a more sustainable and eco-conscious life, I am glad that a place like Kid to Kid exists. read more

I would come back for higher end kids clothes shopping here. Pricing for these items was fair. - restrooms available Cons: - Sell back value seems to be low for consignment on clothing - they sell back "regular" kids brands like Old Navy and Carters at a price that seems more than what I would pay when browsing their sales rack. Came in for the first time ever to donate some new and used baby clothes and was talking Spanish to my mom while we waited, guy in the Hawaiian shirt looked at us with all the bags of clothes and just ignored us then came back and said clothes closes at 6pm and walked away, very rude and unprofessional. Not even a hello or how can we help, nothing as we were looking around him and another lady decided to talk bad because we had came at 6pm accident not knowing donation time closed at that time since the store closes at 7pm, I decided to walk away and donate my clothes elsewhere. You can def tell he was being racist because of how he treated us once we spoke Spanish , because he clearly decided to talk smack in English right in front of us. Brought 2 bags in with new with tags or slightly used and they bought 2 items ... when i asked why i had pretty good things in there even with tags I was personally told they no longer buy basic brands like cat and jack Gymboree, anything Walmart and a few others I can't recall. They said the buy back to re sell rate isnt the best i can sorta see that however when i walked the store most items were either junkie or huge name brand with a big price tag .
