Had such a disappointing experience here today. My grandmother, who resides in a nursing home, had requested my family to bring KFC for Mother's Day lunch, as she has always enjoyed their chicken. We ordered online ahead of time, in order was not ready at the desired time for pick up. Once we received the order, one of the lids for the gravy was not properly sealed, and gravy spilled all over the other items. On top of that, they did not include any napkins or silverware despite us ordering enough food for about eight people. I was hoping not to write this review. I was hoping for a resolution. But here we are. On August 04, 2025. I went to this particular location. I entered the establishment with my son. I was told to wait as they where busy on drive through. I waited and waited. My son went to use the restroom. Few (3) people came in of a specific color. Magically they weren't busy anymore. They attended them with such honor. While I waited. Not once they asked me if I needed attention other then when they told me to wait. That was the only attention they gave me. My son came out the restroom to his surprise I was still not attended. I never felt so belittled in a fast food restaurant. I was humiliated and embarrassed. What was worst is that my son saw the show. I told my son "let's go through" drive through." To our surprise they they said they closed the drive through but at the time we got there. Because of the color of my skin. I did talk to a Ms. Kita. She assured me she would get her coaching manager the heads up to talk about the issue but what has that solved? At what price. OK, I know I am not supposed to eat fried foods. The heart you know...But I'm weak: l love fried chicken. (Afterall, i was raised in the south.) So I finally succumbed to KFC's ads for their fried chicken sandwich. And when your gonna be bad, you might as well go all the way, so I had french fries and lemonade too. The verdict? The lemonade actually tasted like lemonade. The French fries were among the best I've ever had: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and super tasty! The sandwich. The bun was fresh, the dill pickle tart, the mayo spread perfectly and the chicken juicy, plump and with perfectly crispy skin. Only one problem, when added together it just didn't work for me; maybe it was just too many flavors at once. So next time, it will just be a good ol' bucket of KFC Extra Crispy please. This location should just close down and be something else. They don't have but 2 workers and keep the lobby closed then out of half the drinks to choice from out of hot sauce , salt , pepper. Why stay open taking peoples time and money. Sot in a drive through for 15 of your 30 minute break to get food with no seasoning and a drink you really didn't want. I was so disappointed, the cashier was dancing, yet nobody took my order at the window after 10 minutes So, I just pulled around assuming there was another place to order from. Nope. It wouldn't of been so bad if this three-piece dinner resembled remotely with the photos on the order screen look like. This is a combo Long John Silver and KFC one intersection west of I75 in Bradenton. The restaurant was clean and the girl behind the counter was very nice. She greeted me and quickly took my order. I asked for a cup of ice too and she gave me a large cup to get ice from the fountain soda machine. My order came up very quickly and the food was quite hot and fresh. The 3 Nashville Hot tenders came with a biscuit which I was not expecting. It was fluffy and hot. The tenders were not as hot as I wished but I asked for a few hot sauces and a ranch dressing and it was just perfect. The chicken was juicy but not messy. I was also impressed that the togo container is reusable and microwave safe. The crispy original chicken sandwich was ordered with light mayo but there was still a bit too much on the bun. The bun was fresh and soft but the pickles were missing and that was a little disappointing. Overall, good experience and I would return. read more

I want to say this place is a joke. We forgot to add two wraps and a cake to our order so when we got to the window they refused to let us add anything to the order. They were rude about it and said we had to go back thru the drive thru. I have never been to a restaurant that refuses to sell you more food so they make more money. I could see if it was a huge order but we were literally wanting 2 wraps and a cake that was pre-packaged. Horrible food. Horrible service. Last two visits they couldn't even be bothered to give me cutlery or napkins, and I had to beg for them. Last time the drive-through wasn't working and so I had to go inside to order and they were three employees with only a party of two ahead of me and they couldn't really be bothered to serve anybody. They were a bit hostile, asking if I ordered in the drive-through when the drive-through was not working and nobody could order in the drive-through, I can only imagine that they were hoping that they didn't have to input my order and they were that lazy, because all of them acted that lazy like it was a bother for them to help anybody at any time. today I used to coupon in the drive-through which was now working and the guy didn't understand my coupon and so he said, come to the window, and when I handed him the coupon, he stared at it for a long time like he didn't comprehend it or he couldn't read. When I got my mail, the oil that the chicken was cooked and tasted like it was not good and my sides were cold. He never did ask me which kind of coding I wanted whether it was original or crispy or anything. My chicken was greasy and was like it had been sitting there for a long time and it was downright disgusting. Even though my coupon was a good deal which was two pieces of chicken and two sides and a biscuit. I don't think I'll ever be going back there because it's just disgusting. The restaurant was clean, the cashier Willie was fast, friendly, and polite. The manager even walked the dining room to ask us if everything was ok. Willie soon checked in on us to ask if we needed anything. The fish I got was hot and fresh, and the 20 piece hot wings were hot and fresh after a 10 minute wait. If the food is hot and fresh, I don't mind waiting. Dining room was clean, bathroom was clean, fast, friendly service, and a lot of people in and out. I understand the other review being a one star, it happens, but our visit was a five star. Willie needs a raise! I forgot to mention this is a KFC/LJS, which is each of our favorites in one building. I waited in line for about 20 mins to even order then when I did the lady never told me my total or told me to move up so I sat there. Then waited another 15 mins to get up to the window. The lady finally told me my total and pretty much threw my food at me and don't even give me a straw. She was so rude. We went here to pick up a bucket of all dark meat original recipe chicken since there's no one else that makes it exactly like KFC! We didn't call ahead, we just went through their drive thru window and the staff were very kind, courteous and served us very quickly. We live several miles away so the aroma of the chicken drove us a bit nuts getting home to eat! The chicken was still very warm and delicious when we arrived. We are weekly patrons of this KFC. This week, we wished to pay with our credit card. I had been urged by my EMV card issuer to always use the chip reader to help prevent fraud/identity theft. This KFC is located off the interstate with a transient clientele; ripe for this type of abuse. "Unlike magnetic-stripe cards, every time an EMV card is used for payment, the card chip creates a unique transaction code that cannot be used again." I went to put my card into this operational reader and was instructed by the cashier not to use it. When pressed she stated that "they don't use it because it was slower." While that may or may not be true, they are obligated to comply with the new standards for consumer protection. I spoke to the manager who wanted nothing more than assure me it was broken and not connected. Clearly a mis-statement. I would have respected a simple, "sorry, we elect to be in violation because it slows up the line", than the lie from management. What else do they stretch the truth about in this operation? I write this review now to give others a heads up and as a record against any retribution from all parties involved. read more

I have been coming here for the last seven years. Accepted as always, they are ill prepared with fulfilling orders and you will wait for it to be cooked. Waited at drive through window after told to go around, because they failed to give me my receipt. In turn, they burnt my chicken on purpose. We had to repeat everything and couldn't understand what they were repeating back to us. The food was terrible and cold. The restrooms were disgusting. The eating area didn't have a clean table or chair to sit. The staff was just standing around doing nothing. One bright spot was that the chicken pot pie was good. Wow...how BAD can an operation be? Stopped in through Drive Thru at 6:56pm on 2/4/16...shame on me for being alone with no one to check the order. I spent $56.00+ on: 1). a 16 piece meal with half original and half grilled (all original and 10 pieces were wings); a Fill Up Box with Chicken Bowl (No cookie); 3 piece Nashville Tender Basket (didnt receive this order at all); was charged for a Large Pepsi ($1.89) of which I didn't order; and received a half-full side of green beans for $3.49. When I asked for the receipt the cashier said: 'it's in the bag.' A long line behind me and here I am fumbling through the order and looking for the receipt. She's giving me the glare so I pulled away...but not before she affirmed my question whether or not 'she checked the order.' After I arrived home and noticed TWO people out of 4 didn't have their order filled (no grilled for one and the Nashville Chicken was for the other) we ate what we had and I called the store (941-748-3353). Actually, I attempted to call the store as the phone rang busy for 20 minutes straight, followed by over repeated attempts of the phone ringing and no one answering...followed by busy again. I called the Corporate Office who owns this franchise and others in Manatee County and left a message. I called the Corporate Office again this morning, left a message. As of 10am this morning, not a single call from Ownership. Great job. Millions on marketing Norm McDonald as the Colonial, which is an absolute waste of the Colonial's name and money if while bringing me into the store to try a new product, you half fill my order, neglect portions, put phantom items on my bill and then make no attempt to make it right. I've overlooked my request for extra honey for 8 biscuits (and receiving 4 packets) as excessive on my part. I haven't brought up ZERO utensils in our order, or napkins, or even a straw for the ONE Pepsi that came with the meal. As hard as it may seem, I assure you I am NOT making this up! I must say, this was the absolute worse take-out experience...ever. On the other hand, this is what you expect and it's on me to make sure the order's right, right?
