I went to Keystone with friends for a relaxing night out. I decided to choose valet for parking and was met by a friendly staff member that quickly helped as soon as we arrived. When we entered, the space was so beautiful. All of the great jazz artists were displayed all over the walls. Checking in was a breeze, no lines and was seated quickly to a comfy booth area that seats 4 people. The waiting staff were helpful and pleasant. They offered recommendations for food and drinks and overall the food was great. Lemon drops were not on the main menu, but they said they can make almost anything if they have the ingredients. The most beautiful male wait staff member changed clothes every time he returned to the floor, he gave us a show of his own honey!!! I get hot super easily so I was happy to experience a cool space inside. The AC was cranked up, so if you get cold easily, bring a cardigan. Entertainment was superb, got to interact with the performer and even met with him after the show was over. If I had to list any cons about my experience, it was the staff constantly going back and forth as I was recording the performance on the stage. I had to cut so many of my videos because someone walked directly across the shot. I know they have a job to do, and they do it WELL! Friday night 12 am We came here to dance. That's it. There is a late night menu with wings and fries . I only wanted to dance. Friday night is house music 11-2am. It was not packed but most ppl come in groups or duos. You seat yourself at this hour. Bar or table tops. There is not a dress code. I would come here after dinner to burn some calories . The music is really good if you like today's hip hop mixed with 90s house and bmore club music. Even the restaurant manager was dancing and he was elderly . Now cleanliness was not the best. We came in on a Friday night. The music was great as was the ambiance. I can't speak to the food but the cocktails were enjoyable and the bartender was friendly. However, he was thoroughly overwhelmed since he was the only one working so service was on the slower side. Also, the layout of the venue is curious to me as there are several spots in which you can't see the stage due to the columns obstructing the view. I'm glad we got a good spot but it could easily have been mediocre had I been seated a couple of feet over in either direction. Nevertheless, I recommend catching a show here when you can. read more

Recently patronized for a show. The layout is decent but, I'd suggest getting tickets closest to the stage for a clear view of the performer. Tickets are sold individually but, you will be sharing a table with other attendees if your group isn't large enough to fill a table. You are required to purchase at least 2 items from the menu. Can be food or beverage. While here I had the crabcake cake and fries. Both were good. Crabcake was tasty, nice meat and minimal filler. Fries were hand cut and crispy. I also sipped on Prosecco. Dropped in to check out the Late Nights event here at Keystone Korner & enjoyed. Was pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was still open & ordered their Honey Old Bay Wings with the Sweet Potato Fries. I enjoyed them both & appreciated the amount I was given. Some venues are "skimpy" with their portions. They have a DJ spinning & that was definitely an added plus. The crowd there was really enjoyed themselves which added to my experience. The staff all seemed very pleasant & my Server, one of the Managers there, was super pleasant and even shared with me info on ownership and whom manages the Day to Day operation. I love this spot for a night out with great live music, strong drinks, and a good time. I've been to a number of shows here and always have an amazing time. The music is LOUD, but they luckily have ear plugs at the host stand in case you need some extra hearing protection. I usually buy bar seats on the stage side because the view is great and pretty cheap. The service can be a tad slow but generally pretty good. There is a 2 item per person minimum if you're ordering from the menu, so beware! Usually I'm ordering at least a drink (or two) and a snack, but you can't get just one thing. They have events for everyone, I've seen tribute bands for Erykah Badu, Usher, and Michael Jackson. It does tend to be an older crowd though, I usually find myself to be the youngest in the room here. read more

I came here for my birthday and Keystone gives me the Natalie's vibe from NY Undercover(if ya know, ya know). They have a great eye for selecting the performing talent! The new DJ they have there is amazing as he truly DJs for the crowd and not himself. Definitely gave me all the 90s feels! We will definitely be back to see DJ SoYourDolo!!! There is a late night session from 11-2a. It's their best kept secret! Get there early as seating is first come first served. If you attend a show you do have the option to select a seat for yourself and your guests. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and super efficient. Drinks were amazing! I came on Saturday evening with my family and we had a great time. This was our first time at the venue and the place was clean, had good service and good food. We sat at a booth that is supposed to have no obstructed view but, we could only see part of the stage. However, it wasn't really an issue because there are a bunch of TV screens and its not as if the performers were doing anything onstage besides standing and playing which would could hear throughout the venue and see on the screens. The only thing I will note is we ordered burgers and on the menu there is an option for regular fries, sweet potato fries or truffle fries. One person in our party ordered truffle fries and when we received the bill there was a $3 upcharge. This was not indicated on the menu or via the server. I had an awesome experience here. Treated a good girlfriend here for her birthday. She loves Chrisette Michelle. We arrived early and landed a free parking spot. The inside entrance was full when we arrived but, we were early. We were the 1st set of people outside of the door waiting to enter. Check in was easy. Our party was two but we were at a table that seated four but, we arrived first. Although we had obstructed view seating because we arrived 1st we still had a decent view. I didn't like that the table water was very warm and we had to ask for ice. But, that wasnt a big issue at all. I just ordered a pitcher of white sangria and it didnt disappoint. It was more than enough to share. My good girlfriend ordered the crab cake and wings and allowed me to taste both. The crab cake wasn't bad but, I wasn't a fan of it. I would pass on the fries as well. Now, the wings will definitely be on my radar to get next time I'm there. Chrisette Michelle gave an excellent performance. She really has a beautiful voice. Fantastic music and food with smooth service. I wondered what to expect when visiting this jazz club with a restaurant inside. Having dined at most of the Robert Wiedmaier restaurants, I had high expectations, which were met, and in the case of the butter cake, exceeded. My date and I took our seats in the warm lounge, which had warm lighting and elegant wood tones. Beautiful. Our servers were prompt and took our orders and requests with ease. Both of us ordered burgers with fries and some cocktails, which we enjoyed. Now for the music: blown away. While I wasn't particularly focused on the jazz, the vocalist was so talented that I had to pay attention. It was that good. I'll have to assess whether that is true in more cases, but in this case, the tickets were well worth it. Back to the most crucial element: the butter cake is the best dessert my partner and I have ever had, with a rich salted caramel sauce that blew me away. I plan to return just to order it again! OVERALL: The music is great, the vibe is great, the service and food are fine. It's just all about the ambiance at the tables (which is the entire club) and talent on stage! The tricky thing with venues that have a minimum order requirement is I feel compelled to rate them also then on what they're making you do, not just what the venue's real heart and soul is about. FOOD AND SERVICE: I've been here a few times now and the food and service are consistently 3 stars. It's a limited menu with entrées averaging around $30, apps and cocktails generally about $15. Some of what comes out doesn't actually match the description on the menu, which is further disappointment. But that's not why you go: It's all about the ambiance and the jazz music. I've been to some venues that require a minimum order and some that don't. My biggest issue is if it's a rule, it NEEDS to be communicated when you're paying for your tickets. It's currently not, and that's one of my biggest gripes. We first found out about this req only after paying $200+ for our non-refundable tickets, specifically, at our table when we opened our menus to order. (We'd bought 4 tickets as a gift; our friends were on a budget; and half of us weren't drinking, so we'd just planned to share an appetizer or two. None of us walked in expecting to drop an extra $40/person--an unpleasant surprise.) FYSA they also have a silence policy during shows, so if you want to chat, plan to arrive in advance of the show. Wasn't an issue for us and is very reasonable to expect, but noting here since it's also not actually mentioned on the website, and if you're new to the scene, you may not realize that. I had my first experience at Keystone Korner for the sold out Destin Conrad show - we had a great time and look forward to another opportunity to visit. The entry process into the venue was really straight forward and smooth - we arrived about 40 minutes ahead of the concert and were led very quickly to our seats at the bar. They were very well prepared for the event - there were alot of staff, bartenders, and waiters catering to guests needs. The food and drink options were really nice. I had the burger, which was GREAT, and my girlfriend had the brisket sandwich which she really enjoyed too. The fries might've been the highlight of the meal though; they were wonderfully seasoned and fresh. I kept it simple with a bottled beer and she had a reisling - no complaints at all on our drinks. Shoutout to our bartender; she was very attentive even though the space was completely sold out. I like that the majority of the seats in the venue have at least a partial view of the stage. For those seats that are out of stage view, there are plenty of TV screens scattered around and above the bar to give everyone a chance at viewing the stage. I do think that the sound quality could be improved - we sat a little ways away from stage and definitely fought through some distorted or unclear sound. Maybe a speaker or two in the back of the venue would help. Perhaps it was because Destin's show was very popular, but we had ALOT of trouble buying our tickets online. Their site stalled or crashed several times while we were trying to purchase tickets. Would've loved to have a smoother purchase experience. I attended a tribute to Mary J. Blige. It was my first time at this jazz club, and I was pleasantly surprised. I think the stage could probably be a little bit bigger because there are seats where you can barely see anything and you have to use the screens mounted on the wall. But it's such a small cozy intimate club that you want to be able to see the stage and not use the screen so make sure you get your tickets early so you can get the best viewpoint. The performer was OK. The stage area was a little bit kind of antiquated, but the rest of the club made up for it. Our server was so attentive and sweet. The drinks were good and the food was amazing. I had a burger and the actual meat patty itself was seasoned...like homemade. What a gem of a place this is! I went here for the first time to see Kenyatta the Band play and I was so happy that I finally got a change to come by. It was a sold out show. It's a Jazz restaurant with the perfect lighting, vibes and jazz artwork nicely decorated throughout the area. I sat at the bar and loved the soft glow of the lights up top once the band started to play. The food was delicious, service was great and the stage set up was perfect for any seat in the house as they also have big screen tvs so you don't miss a thing. This is the perfect place to watch an intimate jazz performance and enjoy some good food. They have a great lineup of performers throughout each month and now that's I've finally made it here, I will definitely be back! read more

Came for the vibes, stayed for the saxophone. Service? Top tier. They treated me like I was Beyoncé's cousin or something. This was my first visit to this venue. It definitely did not disappoint. Parking can be challenging, I recommend taking Uber if it's a feasible alternative. The interior is a moody lounge jazz speakeasy vibe. There's complimentary coat check by the front door. The drinks were delicious, the food was good, the service we received was so-so. Our server never looped back around to check in on our party until it was time to pay the bill. Unfortunately I have experienced this before in venues where the gratuity is built into the billing. I got a pasta dish that just tasted like rushed pasta. Very disappointed considering it was $24. After fine dining in Baltimore my sweetie pie took me to Keystone Korner to see live music, it's my fave! We were seated in what appeared to be the VIP table but nope we just got lucky and were seated on a high top, center stage. (He picked the seats because we did prepay, good job baby) The ambiance is that of a typical venue that has music. Restaurant, stage, pictures of all the most popular music artist from all decades. Loved that! We started with cocktails, they were good! After about an hour we locked eyes and well we both wanted to try something off their menu. I asked for Butter Cake, he opted for Char-Broiled Chesapeake Oysters. I was presented my Butter Cake and I was in Heaven. I first made love with my eyes and then I devoured the whole cake. I did share with my baby, he closed his eyes and made a loud love grunt. (Mmm Mmm Mmm ermahgerd - he said it while he had the cake in his mouth) He is not even a big sweet eater but he liked this one. The cake was to die for. Cake should not be that good. I yelled OMG a few times. May have praised God in there too with my praise and worship hands up in the air. Yeah, it was that good. His oysters must have been a hit because by the time I finished loving on the cake, I looked over and they were gone. Food was a hit from the two choices we picked. Drinks were great! Music a hit! First, obviously, yoj will attend the most incredible concerts with genius musicians. Then, you are going to wolf a more than enjoyable meal. The roasted chicken was so delicious, cooked to perfection crispy perfectly cooked with that honey sauce that was very satisfying and melting potatoes and tomatoes. The banana bread pudding was one of the best desserts I've ever had: perfect! After my neighbors saw me eat mine they both ordered it and wolfed even faster than me. I've never been to this restaurant and I jumped at the chance to go. It was cool, sophisticated and smooth. The band was pleasing to the ear playing music from Quincy jones, the gap band and Brenda Russell to name a few. One player I swear played every instrument known to man up there. The band was introduced by the restaurant's owner who is a legend in his own right. The waitress was friendly and prompt. I had the deviled eggs, Caesar salad and lemon drop martini. I feel like I should write a review just about the butter cake alone. It was warm, buttery and crispy on the edges topped with cool smooth vanilla ice cream. Great smooth jazz show! It's been a minute since we lasted visited. They now have a 2 item order minimum with a 20% gratuity charge added to each check. The seats we got were good. The first row of tables near the stage. They have other seats with good views BUT they also have seating with obstructive views as well. To make up for that, they have monitors around so you can still see the show. I would encourage you to look at the seating chart when ordering tickets to ensure you get the seats you want. We ordered the buffalo wings, which arrived sort of lukewarm, a Baltimore Sour, which was a really tasty alcoholic drink, and two Coronas (we had to each satisfy the two item per person minimum). When I come to venues that serve food, I never plan on eating a full course meal, so the app and drinks were the way to. If you are not the alcoholic drinking type, they have soda, coffee, and juice as well. The performance we saw and heard was outstanding! They have a variety of artists and you can peruse their full calendar of events. They even offer some concerts for streaming, if that's more your thing. Maybe I had too high of expectations of this place. The photos online gave me the impression that it was an intimate jazz club vibe. That's not what I experienced. The layout is just off to me. Feels like just a regular bar/restaurant with a small area in front of the stage. I'm sure you have to pay extra for those "VIP seats" and be there very early. Visited this past Friday for a tribute to the late Phylis Hyman. Had to look her up, but the band did a great job, and I enjoyed the music and the company. I did not enjoy sitting at the bar and having to mostly look at the performance via the TV screens at the bar. It was very awkward. Occasionally, I was able to look at the stage but still felt far away. They have a limited food menu. I wasn't too hungry anyway. I got the bread pudding, which was decent. I had the "Baltimore Sour," a whiskey based cocktail topped with red wine. It was ok. I felt service could have been better. The main bartender seemed a bit annoyed. I'm sure it was overwhelming having to deal with so many people. Parking wasn't too bad. Found street parking, but there's also some nearby garages. Keystone Korner is a jazz supper club that hosts a wide range of acts from local to world- renowned. In addition to an intimate music setting, this place has great food and drinks. This night, I just had a burger and upgraded to sweet potato fries. I asked for a med-rare burger and told my server I was serious about that temperature and they delivered. The bun was also really soft. The server asked if I wanted to upgrade to sweet potato fries and I'm glad I did. I like soft fries but these fries were both soft and crispy. I saw the regular fries on another table and I look forward to trying those when I go back. In the past I have had the salads and they are also very good. The menu is not very large, but you are there for the music. Now the drinks. There are some specialty cocktails. I started with an old fashioned because that is how I judge most bars. It was very good. I moved onto an espresso martini for dessert. It was very good and didn't skip on the alcohol. It was all alcohol but not too strong. Definitely check out Keystone Korner. It moved to Baltimore all the way from San Francisco. Most of the acts have a charge and there is a two item minimum per person at these shows with a 20% service charge. I would have given a higher review. But I was appalled that the manager was so dismissive and insensitive about a mouse running around by my foot. He could have said he was sorry and sent us wine or a dessert. Instead, he said "it's Baltimore, we are over 4 feet of water" as if dining with mice was not an issue. My husband became an exterminator last night and killed the mouse. The guests clapped and thanked him. The bartender was very nice and offered my husband a drink. This manager said he didn't care if I wrote a bad review. So here it is. You're welcome. Never going back if this manager is still there and if the mice are still there as if they are guests. This place is a gem! I have been going since they opened with Maestro Ron Carter in 2019. Have been back 20+ times since. As good as any Jazz club in the world. This place is pretty awesome! I don't see many venues in Baltimore offering live jazz and if they do, it's a pretty niche thing - maybe once or twice a month. Not at Keystone Korner. They have shows all the time and everyone is sooo talented! One of my favorite parts of the night was when they had an open mic portion of the set where young musicians could sign up to get on stage and play together. Many of these kids didn't even seem to know each other prior to that night which made their seamless improvisations even more impressive. They also serve food and have a full bar here. We didn't order anything to eat since we had just come from dinner but we did get some glasses of sparkling wine. Sadly, the service was pretty slow which is the reason it wasn't a five star experience. We had to chase down our server for the check and waited a bit longer for our glasses of wine than I would've expected. That said, the food smelled really good and I've read that the chef here has earned a Michelin star in his past so I'd be down to come back and see what the food menu is like. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone seeking jazz but maybe come on a night that you have plenty of time to sit around and chill - with how good the music is, you probably won't want to leave anyways. read more
