In my eyes, they are more than just painters -- they are artists. Their craftsmanship transformed our home, and we could not be happier. I went to Yelp to review the painting contractors in my area who also did repairs for dry rot and siding. I selected three contractors with a rating of four starts and above and scheduled an appointment with each of them to view the house. Within a week I received all three proposals, and I reviewed and compared them to ensure the contractors were providing the same services. Two of the proposals came in with a higher cost and the third was lower for the same amount of work-- so I selected the latter, which was Rayco. In addition to the great rate, Tony L. arrived early to the appointment for viewing the house and we had a great rapport. After we selected the paint scheme and received approval from our HOA, we scheduled the work to begin the last week of June. Tony L. and his team arrived at 8 am with their equipment and porta potty. He introduced me to the team and said that the first day was to power wash the house. I asked him if he could also power wash our cement, and he said that it can be spotty. I told him that it was okay, and he obliged. Tony L. and his team communicated with me every day to let me know if there were any issues we needed to address and consulted with me about the paint scheme. The team was very professional and hard working: they did a great job painting, repairing the dry rot, and the siding, which was about forty to fifty percent of the work. Each day the team made sure to clean up the area to ensure its safety. It took a week to complete the job, and they even worked on July 4th. During this time my wife needed to paint the interior of her tea business. She had just signed the contract for her space and needed to get her business up and running within a month. Lucky for her I was already working with Tony L. and recommended that she speak with him. She scheduled an appointment with him, and they met at her new space. After they met, he provided her with a quote, and she accepted it because his cost came in much lower than the previous quotes. Tony L. and his team completed the paint job within a week. We have received so many compliments about the paint job and color scheme. In short, I would recommend Rayco because Tony L. and team are great, they have the expertise and knowledge to get the job done on time and on budget. Their work is excellent!

She offered to discuss the issues and have workers come out to make things right. By this time, but I had encountered the issues mentioned in the first review addendum. I accepted the reimbursement. I still regret hiring S&I to work on my property. I recommend you do you extra due diligence before hiring them. I don't trust their high-star rating.

This was a big 10-month project that involved coordinating with an architect and multiple engineering disciplines. I hired HHR on a personal recommendation, but also because I could tell that Jason cares first and foremost about doing quality work, and is a straightforward and honest communicator - not always easy to find in a contractor. The house looks great, tons of neighbors walking by keep telling me so, so it's not just my opinion - but also, several neighbors have commented on how nice and friendly Jason's crews are. That was my experience too, if you hire this company most or all of the work will be done by employees who - as best I can tell - like their jobs and the owner. That makes a big difference in how the project goes. Shout outs to Rafael, Costa, Santos, and everyone who put tons of work into fixing up the house.

Jason again coordinated the planning and permit process seamlessly and also worked with the City of Alameda to upgrade the electrical service to our house. There was excellent timing of the many stages of construction, with a smooth daily sequence of the teams of highly skilled and professional electricians, plumbers, carpenters and painters. We always received excellent communication for the schedule of work. There was hardly ever a weekday without substantial work taking place. All the workers were highly skilled, tremendously helpful, cheerful and professional. It was truly a pleasure to deal with the entire team. With these two renovations, HHR has now totally redone our three bathrooms, installed pocket doors, reconfigured closets, installed new wood flooring, and performed many electrical and lighting improvements. We are 100% pleased with the results of both of the renovations. Home Healing Renovations are the very best and are highly recommended.

Having worked with many contractors over the years, the difference with Frank was clear from the start: he's collaborative and operates with old school integrity. When we didn't know what flooring or railing would work best in our space, he didn't just shrug and demand we tell him exactly what we wanted (like a previous contractor did) -- he actually guided us through the options. This made this project feel completely different. The crew was punctual and polite, the price was fair, and communication was seamless over text, calls, in-person check-ins. Frank kept us updated on everything: inspections, deliveries, material orders, even making sure the permit was printed on the right size paper for the city. For permits and drawings, he connected us with Omid, who handled all follow-up with Oakland so we never had to worry about it. Having managed the headache of permits myself in the past, that service alone was worth a lot. When we found more rot than expected on the balcony, Frank was upfront about what needed replacing and the added cost. No surprises, no pressure, just honest information. My goal with this project was to get it done ONCE, RIGHT. I'm glad we chose Frank to make this happen. I watched each step of the work from my office window and am confident in the quality.
