Solid spot for breakfast in the area. Outside of the food, this is a large spot that was quite busy during my visit, but has lots of parking and a lot of space to accommodate the crowds. The large Peanuts figures outside make this worth a visit to take some fun pictures at least once and the decorations are great. The menu is quite expansive with everything you can think of for breakfast, at a little higher but not unreasonable prices. The bakery is also quite stocked with lots of different items though I didn't have a chance to try it on this visit. For the items I did try, I thought they were good -- though nothing exceptional as the menu descriptions imply. The coffee was fairly smooth, not super strong -- but good enough for a morning jolt of caffienne. The chocolate chip belgian waffles were fairly standard with a good firmness and a fairly tasty batter. The apple cinnamon french toast had a pretty generous amount of apples on it that weren't too soft, with french toast that was decently eggy. Both solid preparations, but not super different from what you'll find elsewhere. Overall, nice breakfast spot to visit for lots of choice and for the great decorations, though the food is nothing special.

The food and staff is great. It's a cute cafe tucked inside a small mall. Our waiter was a tall gentlemen, very friendly, down to earth. My family and I will be coming back

This is the place to go to get a classic American breakfast in a fast paced diner full of character. Plan ahead to park on the street, or take the green line! I really enjoyed my breakfast burrito - a bit pricey for what it was, though. They had great bakery items that I would like to go back and try. Be prepared to wait, especially on weekends. Lovely part of St. Paul to walk around before or afterwards!

One great thing that came out of my stay at a local hotel, was I was told to check out Keys Café and Bakery for breakfast. I went to Keyes Café on a Sunday and luckily the time that I went, there was no wait. I was immediately seated even though the lady at the register thought I was DoorDash and not an actual customer (lol) however, I was not immediately greeted by my waitress. I noticed that there was another table that came in after me that was able to order their food prior to me if being able to get a menu. I then proceeded to get up to advise of this mishap, and I was told that my waitress would be on the way. After she finally came to my table, I ended up ordering apple juice and my food. She did apologize and stated that the apple juice would be on the house. I ended up ordering French toast, bacon, and eggs, which you never can go wrong with this dish. The food was great. It was served hot, fresh and cooked to order. The only thing that I did not like about my visit was the service. I even remember the waitress telling me that it was a slow day, which was very unusual for her. So I'm not sure if that negatively impacted her from servicing me, but I had to get up twice to get her attention. Needless to say, I would definitely come back just for the food.

Keys is classic! I have enjoyed the food at several different locations. I truly enjoy the delicious homemade bread and the jam! It's divine! I typically visit here for the breakfast, but the have a nice selection of bakery items available! The service was fast, friendly, understandable! Typical cafe/bakery vibes!

You MUST get the homemade bread! Absolutely delicious and served with homemade strawberry jam. The corned beef has was full of corned beef and onions. Great service as well. Get a caramel roll to go!

We chose this restaurant randomly and it turned out great. Very welcoming and very busy on a Sunday morning. Loved the team work of the employees. We were seated very quickly. Water coffee arrived quickly. We chose the Cajun breakfast, Greek omelette and the Belgian waffles. Portions for the breakfast and omelette were huge. Coffee is bottomless and tasted good. The cappuccino arrived cold. There was a halogen lamp on top of our table (the third one on the right after you turn left from the entrance) that was flickering and was irritating. Menus arrived probably from a nice wipe! Atmosphere was festive. They have outdoor seating as well. We parked on the street and there was plenty. It's right off the

    $20 for coffee and pancakes

Hate to give a bad review to a local business, but this place just isn't it. For $4.19 I expected a decent cup of coffee, but it was watery and boiling hot each time it was refilled. Pancakes were a bit pricey and not great, tasted like fast food pancakes. Just a stack of pancakes and coffee was $22 after tip. Probably a result of inflation but still not worth it to me. Ambiance is nice. If the coffee was of better quality and pancake recipe was improved, then they'd be doing a lot better.

Keys is always one of my favorites for breakfast.... Classic spot! Especially the Robert Street location. Stopped in last night for two slices of cake-- German chocolate and HoHo for my friend and I. The German chocolate cake was the better of the two. Not a ton of coconut flavor but the chocolate cake was great. The hoho cake left me disappointed- did not receive that "wow" from it. Unfortunately, just kinda blah. In the past, I've had the house cake and it's my favorite and would definitely recommend that one. Service I received when I stopped in was great. Gentleman helping me was very nice and friendly. He engaged in small talk. Restaurant was clean and bright. Not busy at all. I'll be back.

Food 5/5: We are big BBQ fans, and I believe this is the best BBQ in the twin cities. We had the chips and queso, St. Louis style ribs, pork belly, mac and cheese, dilly beans, beans, apple pizza, peanut butter pie, and both old fashions. The chips are homemade and so good! Lightly salted and the perfect amount. Of crunchy. The ribs and pork belly were warm, tender, and spiced perfectly. Everything we had was well spiced, and overall high quality with exception to the Mac and cheese, not much flavor but would be perfect for a kids meal but didn't match their overall level of the other food. Service 5/5: they use a QR code ordering system. Everything we ordered came within 10 -20 minutes of ordering. Silverware and all other essentials are located at your table, but there were people around to ask if you needed anything. Ambiance 4/5: when this space is full it is very loud. If there is a band playing you won't be able to hear table conversation. Something else to note, you may share a table with another group, so if that's a deal breaker to you know that is their style. They have a kid space which was packed, but overall an amazing thing to offer. Overall if you're ok with a loud and crowded space, this place is great. Overall we loved this new location. The food was great, the service was fast, and the ambiance was inviting but loud.

I made a last-minute reservation online, which was quick and seamless. Parking was easy enough, there's a small lot, plus plenty of street parking options. We were seated right away when we arrived, though unfortunately at a very small two-person table with very limited space. It worked out, but next time I'd definitely request something a bit roomier. We arrived during happy hour but skipped it since we didn't want to spoil our meals. For dinner, I ordered the double barrel burger with a side of fries, and my friend got the fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries. I enjoyed my meal, however, my friend thought the food was very salty and that maybe the chicken sandwich was fried in the same oil as the fish as it didn't taste much like chicken. We thought the portions were big enough that we had leftovers to take home. Service was just okay...nothing particularly memorable. The most uncomfortable part of the experience was our table location right by the door. It felt like people were constantly hovering nearby or watching us while waiting for a table, which made it a bit awkward. Almost like we better hurry up and eat. Overall, a decent meal.

When I go to new cities, I typically seek out food that is specific to the region and thus a little more interesting to me. You can get a burger anywhere, and a cheese filled patty, aka a "Juicy Lucy", didn't sound like something I needed to try. But my husband kept talking about it and really seemed bent on having one so we decided to come here to try it out. We showed up during their happy hour, from 4-5pm, and they had $5 draft beers. Score! It's a cute place with ample seating, nice natural light from the large windows, and a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the Juicy Lucy, a burger patty stuffed with cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and pub sauce. I chose the Impossible patty version, but you can also get it with their house made black bean burger. Hubby chose the Garlic Girl, a black bean cheeseburger topped with bacon (also made in-house), berbere aioli, lettuce, and pickled onion. Each burger came with fries.
