    Colada

I think Cuban coffee culture is amazing and there aren't many places to get Colada coffee so I appreciate the menu here. The inside vibe is great. I like the Key West decor. The barista was very nice and brought my son marshmallows for his hot chocolate. The Colada definitely needs more sugar or hasn't been whipped enough. I tasted very little until the end of the drink. It was like drinking black coffee at first. Both the Colada and my wife's latte came out way too hot. I burned my tongue even after the latte had been sitting for 10 min. Please add more whipped sugar to the Colada and brew at a cooler temp. The drink taste will greatly benefit.

I'm coming back! Didn't know this place existed. I was looking for a place with coffee and was a bistro type spot based on what my wife said because she had to get some work done before we went to our appointment. Sure enough, I found Key West Bistro, Cuban delish sure and true in the town I grew up in. The owner, I believe he was the owner greeted us and helped us understand the only thing not available at opening was the Cuban pork. Later when we were leaving, we struck up a conversation and he said the real deal Cuban pork is available as early as 9:30 AM. I asked for the most authentic Cuban coffee he had on the menu, and he directed me to the colada. I did have to add extra sugar to my liking. I was in the mood for an omelette before we found this place. I was ready to step into paradise when I saw the Cuban breakfast sandwich, but that was thwarted when I realized that Cuban pork wasn't available at that time of our arrival. So I substituted the pork for the bacon. My first bite was just the egg and bread, and I was still thinking of an omelette. But once I took the second bite...once I let that bacon sink into my taste buds....once I decided to stop rushing through my eating.....I realized this food was the truth and they brought Havana, Cuba to Minneapolis, MN. I savored every bite, and GLADLY finished off my wife's sandwich as she got the same thing I did. I'll find a reason to come back. Matter fact I don't need a reason, I just will!

A very cute neighborhood cafe vibe. Ordered the Cubano, was delicious (the cheese could have been meltier but we were taking it to go so it probably would have been better fresh). Sandwich was great price for size and deliciousness. Next time definitely will have to try some of their drinks and their key lime pie.

Wonderful food and great service! I wanted to eat everything on their menu. I ended up getting the "Key Wester" with the pork and provolone

I finally found a place where they sell REALLY GOOD Cuban food!! The bread is literally Cuban bread! The coffee is amazing! Being from Florida, this makes me miss home sooo much. Defff worth more than 5 stars

Love this chart describing the Cuban coffee options!

This place is an absolute GEM! I have been looking for a place to get Cuban coffee since I moved here from NYC/Miami six years ago and I found it!!! We stopped in for a quick coffee before an evening class and absolutely lucked out. The owner, Dan, was great and we loved chatting with him about the coffee options. They have so many good things--all the Cuban coffee (with a helpful chart if you're unfamiliar), regular coffee and espresso drinks, nitro, AND Cuban sandwiches and homemade tropical gelato. We will definitely be back!!

It's nice to have another option for ice cream in this area. I'd say it's not exactly a bargain, but it was pretty good and convenient. I haven't tried their sandwiches or anything else. There are some comfy seats.

literalythe best cubano sandwich I've ever had. I will always order a cubano if it's on the menu and this beats them all by far.

Refreshing and unique! I also couldn't pass up their special--a Churro Cold Brew--which was just as delicious as it sounds. While I was at the counter, I noticed they had a Pop-Tart style pastry from a local baker, so I gave that a whirl too. It was super tasty and a nice touch to see them supporting other small businesses. Overall, everything I tried was really flavorful and enjoyable. That said, it's definitely on the pricier side. The staff was very friendly and easy to chat with, which added to the positive experience. Next time, I'll probably limit myself to just one or two items, but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood to treat myself.

The miso cortado was delicious and really stood out, and they have a great variety of specialty drinks. The service was also extremely kind and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. That said, the space didn't quite live up to the hype. The location felt a little unfinished. Minimal decor, unfinished flooring, and no truly cozy seating made it feel less like a place you'd want to settle into for a while. While they encourage people to linger and don't offer Wi-Fi (which I respect), the ambiance doesn't quite support that intention. It felt more like a quick in-and-out stop, even though that doesn't seem to be their goal. The atmosphere was chill, with vinyl records playing in the background, which was a nice touch. I just wish the overall design and seating matched that relaxed, stay-awhile vibe. Great coffee and kind staff, but the space itself didn't fully align with the experience I was hoping for.

They have a lot of super intriguing drinks that I can't wait to get back and try, but I had to have the black coffee for my first stop. They only do pour overs and mine was great. And so were the beans I took home. It's really nice to see a coffee shop that cares about their beans more than syrupy drinks. The shop itself is small but has some nice seating options. One thing to note is that they don't have WiFi so this place isn't really meant for the work from home crowd. I can't wait to get back here

It was a bit of decision fatigue before finally landing on our order. I tried the bananarama chai and my friend had their lychee matcha. The matcha almost tasted completely fruity with no actual matcha taste, to the point where it came off more like a smoothie or juice than a caffeinated drink. My chai wasn't bad, but I didn't get much of the banana flavor. The space itself has a few tables and there is free WiFi as well.
